So I just bought a 32GB SD card to use with my Galaxy 3. I have been reading articles but I haven't found one that works for me. I have tried Link2SD, Move2SD, Directory Bind (cant get it to install). I am running the Telus version of JB and I am rooted.
How can I move my games and stuff to the external sd card? Thanks!
Look through development and general. I think i saw a solution to moving apps to sd somewhere

Can you please provide a link? I looked and I haven't stopped googling either. To make it worse I started getting insufficient space error so I deleted 6gb worth of games off my phone and it still keeps giving me the error. -sigh
Get off jelly bean. Problem solved.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with some of the ntfs apps from the app store on rooted stock. I know I've seen comments about needing to swap kernels for exfat on 64g sd, but this is purely for ntfs thumbs using otg. I want to stay on stock only, just rooted, unless it's really not an option.
One of the apps caused some concern when it stated to "not use it too long or else you may burn out the connector". ?? Is this possible? What's too long, a 3hr flight? A month nonstop?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

when I go to the xda-developers.com, click on forums, then search for sprint galaxy note II.... the right forum comes up and it gives the basic info in the panel above the threads. In the panel it claims the Sprint Galaxy Note 2 ROM size as 64GB. That is incorrect. it has a ROM size of 16GB. it is capable of reading a 64GB MicroSD card but the internal ROM is only 16GB. all the other info seems correct.
16GB rom
2GB RAM
up to 64GB MicroSD

Wow, impressive observation skills there guy.
Why not just mention it to a moderator instead of creating a pointless thread.?

Thanks for pointing that out buddy! To the guy above me, no need to be a douche really. Its in the right section doing no harm to anyone. Now if he would've posted this in android dev OK but he didn't. Who says a mod won't see it here?

exactly, slick.
I would hope we can encourage a community of nice people here, no need to be forum cops for harmless posts that are at least on topic.
I'll send this to someone now! Very good observation!
EDIT: It will be fixed soon.

Well thanks for your lack of help on an open forum.
For the record I have searched.
I have only found results for the N7100 not N7105. And to be honest I don't know if the same method is applicable to both devices!
So with respect instead of wasting your time and effort posting nothing of any use to anyone other than your own self esteem a link to the relevant thread or search results string would be both constructive and helpful.
Re: [Q] The best way to swap the sdcard <> extsdcard
Utkarshgupta is everywhere. God damned him with this: "write every topic and say *Damn why people like this?? Damn why you say like that?? Damn why you ask about it? etc"
Damn utkarshgupta. Stop say damn to people's questions and be polite. You are not have to give an answer or give a solution any question.
But you HAVE TO be polite.

If your running a 4.1.x rom then I use directorybind on my N7105. It doesnt "swap" the whole internal-external card but it allows you to map internal directories to the external sd card.
I for example map teh whole "Android" directory (where most data is stored) to the external sd.
It doesn't work with 4.2 though.

Hey! can you tell me how to root the Grand and a good rom that works dual sim mode? Ive heard that CM 11 is good
Thanks a bunch!
well try this link http://www.kingoapp.com/ you can download it free but you have to enter a serial no. to get the phone rooted if not it wont root it just run and it doesnt root the device...
And for the Custom rom you asked.. I must say CM 11 does not support dual sim function neither any ASOP based roms have this function for the time being but try Pyramid_k3 rom and GENNXT SUPERIOR ROM. I've personally used these roms and they are really good. But be adviced that the device must be upgraded to 4.2.2 stock rom to run these roms
Good luck!
Galaxy Trend Plus
Is there any chance of porting the 4.4 rom from Samsung Ace Style (the new one) to Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus?
The hardware is the same, except for the RAM on Ace Style which is 512MB and Trend Plus is 768...
Trend Plus is currently 4.2.2 only, and have no custom rom
I use custom ROMs in my galaxy grand duos....but there is some problem with my ext SD card.....it keeps on mounting itself as read only....if I manually unmount and then remount it then it is rewritable but after some time it again mounts as read only.....any help plzz....

Hey!
I dont think its something to do with your rom since you have tried to format the sd via pc too.. What kind of format did you choose? Was it a Normal format or quick format? if its a quick format you did try doing a normal one which consumes time but it works? What about the maker is it a good micro sd card maker like sandisk or kingston etc etc...? it might be the prob cuz there are loads of fake sds in the industry sometimes they tend to go bad when it used in high data exchanges... Lastly have you tried uisng another sd card and trying to do whatever the process you trying to do?? if not try it then you can surely know its a sd card prob or not...!
Good luck !
I have not read the posts properly... Bt got 1 idea that ur card not detected after you format via pc...
Do one thing u must have formated using Normal settings... You were wrong here... Just format with FAT... Not with FAT32...doesn't matter if u do with quick format or normal format... But slow format is recommended...
