Hello
I'd like to buy htc 8s.
Could you tell me about how can I install self made apps for 8s? (c#) Is it possible or not? I have read that from sd card impossible, but other way? Only through Market place?
Thank you very much. Gyurma

take your sd card out of your phone, put the app on the card, put the card back in the phone, turn the phone off, turn it back on then wait for 5 min and go to the Store, there should be a "SD card' file and your app should be there

This only works for apps, which are published in Store. SD-Card is only used to store the app itself and the installation procedure search for that apps in Store. I did not test it, but this is one of the principles WinPhone 8.

I am trying to run the SD Card boot-loader with no sucess.
I have put the ******.nbh file on the root of an empty 1Gb MicroSD card, put it in the device, held down the Speech Button and switched the device on.
It very briefly says on the screen 'reading SD Card' (or something like that) then goes to the RGB screen. It does not attempt to run anything from the SD card no matter what I try.
Am I doing something wrong, or are there issues with SD cards over a certain capacity. I have tried formatting the card as both FAT, and FAT 32.
Hi,
you have to format your sd-card with an cardreader and your windows pc! please use as filesystem fat32, after the formatingprocess copy the *.nbh file on your sd-card. then insert the card in your device and enter the bootloader.
thats all, enjoy and have fun
Tried that and can not get it to work. Will try again though. Any particular block size when I format?
use standard blocksize, and you must use the correct filename for the *.nbh file!
also, has to be the correct image, not all nbh files will load off SD card

thats correct, but i think he knows that and use the correct file
flashing from card
to flash from card, CID should be unlocked.
current uspl doesn't allow to flash from card.
two solutions: imei-check or gold card with arteimg.nbh file.
regards,
what is gold card
I am trying to flash the original O2 UK ROM. The file is named Arteimg.nbh and is the correct image for the device.
I really can not get it to work, when I start the device it says on the screen that it is reading the card, but only for about half a second, is that normal?
its normal for it to probe sd card yeah, but not to ignore it hmm... might be worth going to o2 shop shrug your shoulders and say it all went pete tong... lol what i did!!

Guys, just get the device into BOOTLOADER. Connect to PC (WindowsXP) then run the O2 UpdateROMUtility.exe file. The device should flash and after 10mins or so you should have your device back.
I bricked my phone and did this. Got it back working no problems. After it works again, get it unlocked. Saves any bother in the future. www.imei-check.org

Hi,
looking at the contents of my SD card, i have loads of folders with either nothing in, or just a few temp files.
which ones do i actually need on the phone??
could i remove my folders, format the card and then re-insert it, or would android just have a fit if i did that?
cheers
yes, you could format it, the next time you plug it in, android will automatically push the folders that are need to the sd card

Unless you have apps installed on the sd card. They will have to be reinstalled.

usually apps create folders on sd card so you can try erease those that you dont want or dont have
The best trick would be to make a back-up of the apps you really don't want to lose. Then just use your android to wipe the SD card. Like fielddb said, your phone will create the files needed. I had 46 files on mine since I was using it on other cellphone and they were all creating their own files... then you'll just need to puts your apps back, some might create personal folders for them though.
Dear All,

Note : My phone too Slow in restarting while loading the android systems and it take like 5 mins or more to use it normally. So please any Help with this as I'm still in Stock and don't like to make and root.
By search Deleted the task killer apps & non used apps & move the most app from Phone to SD card to make a good free space in the phone storage and nothing changed. ?
Waiting for genius Guys.
Thanks in advance
...assuming you're on stock DHD RUU, I would switch off your phone, take out the SD and just literally connect both cards to a PC, then copy all content from one card to another... making sure all hidden files are accounted for as well.
After that, you plug in your new SD into the phone and switch it on...
You technically don't lose data since you've still got the old SD Card you've copied from anyway. ^_^

Hi,
Just connect your device as HDD to your PC and copy all files and folders from the old card to your PC. Then change the cards in the device and copy all files and folders back to the device. That's all

...no problem.. ^_~
As mention before just a copy and paste will do.
If you have some games installed (Gameloft for exemple) they will check for files and just let them do their job as they will imediately look for the content in the new SD.
If you want to make sure your date will be saved you can also use Titanium backup and just backup the data, not the apps!
Then if you miss something later you can import and it will import related to the app

...horses for courses I guess.
I've got two MicroSD to USB adapters, I just plug both in and let it do its business without having to take the extra step of copying from computer to new SD.. ^_^
Having said that, I would recommend you do a full format to fat32 on your new SDCARD... preferably with the linux Gparted tool.
...probably unnecessary, but I personally make it a point to ensure a 'clean slate' whenever I start with a new SDCard, with hopes of avoiding disaster later down the line... >_<

I just bought My Samsung 32GB SD Class 10 From Korea Directly to be sure it's not Fake one lol
Regarding the formating the sd I normally put the empty card on the phone and format via phone to be extra sure it will definitely work 100%. Then just copy as stated on previous posts.
Have a nice time with you new card. I have the same one and I love it. Much faster

Hack Kit does not mess sdcards, so yours should have been bad before, or maybe the contacts in the device are not ok. Have you tried formatting the sdcard?
That might happen if you improperly unmount it. Have you unmount it from the device, take it off and put it back, choosing to eject it from the menu?

So it sounds like you managed to root your phone successfully then using the Ace kit. Do you install a new custom ROM as well or just go back to your original one?
If the Hack kit worked your SD card should work fine as it turns it into a gold card. If the SD card was damaged it should have flagged it up during the Ace Hack kit installation.
Turn off you phone, take the SD card out and clean the contacts. Put it back in and restart the phone and see what happens?
If that doesnt work format your SD card or get a new one. They are pretty cheap these days.

My sd card has stopped working. It shows sd card blank or has unsupported filesystem, I made factory reset, hard reset but still not working. My HTC Desire HD corrupt every sd card that i put inside the whole. How to fix this problem. I'm worry about it because i cannot use the camera or to download any video. SD Card require for all downloads. In the PC shows removable disc but when i want to format it shows "enter the disc".
Thank you in advance

How are you removing your sdcards? Are you dismounting them properly? Try formatting it from the phone instead of the PC.

I just want to know if is any way to root the phone without sd card. It should be any way i think. Someone told me to root the phone.
Three days ago i found out what rooting was, and i thought i would try it, so after many searches i managed to root my phone. Next i tried to install CM 10 on my htc one v cdma, and at first it kept rebooting, but i managed to fix that. My problem now is that whenever I try to go into storage the phone goes out of settings and says "unfortunately, settings has stopped" i don't think it is mounted, but on the notifications bar it says its safe to remove the sd card, this is not the only problem, sometimes when i turn it on or wake it up the phone background is like copies of things... i cant really explain it, but it looks like it has 10 clocks, or phone icons everywhere, and i cant click on anything.
Can someone please help me it would be appreciated.
ps (I keep hearing about jellyboot 5 kernel, but when i search google for a download it turns up nothing every time, so can someone please projide a link).
Thank you all ahead of time.
u didnt factory reset. Do a factory reset and flash kernel.
