I want to make a kernel but I don't know how to pull boot.img, since boot.img is needed to make a kernel.

You can search for guides on xda. Although I don't know if it will still apply to jelly bean
I think you can extract boot.IMG from Nandroid backup from CWM. not sure about TWRP

[Q] Install Jelly Bean onto HTC One V?

Hi, first of all I'm a noob. Second of all, I've been looking through some guides online on how to install Jelly Bean but they all haven't been very clear. I've already managed to unlock and root my phone and I'm trying to flash stock Jelly Bean rom onto it.
So, are there any good guides on how to do it? Thanks for your time.
Flash stock jelly bean? You normally get that if HTC released JB for your device...if it didnt flash a custom ROM which is running JB.. Just go to forums-ur device- pick a JB rom that suits you and instructions will be provided for sure, and flash it... Good luck m8

Thanks for the help! I finally found a tutorial (androidauthority.com/one-v-gsm-aokp-jelly-bean-rom-120690/) that made sense in the mean time, though. Hopefully it works!

Oh darn, I wished I'd had seen that earlier! But it's okay now, I saw a fix in the comments section and Jelly Bean is running on my phone now. Thank you for the help as well!
Ah, I feel like going for CM10. Is there any instructions on how to do this because there doesn't seem to be any step by steps in the thread?

You're CDMA or GSM? Either way download the Rom.zip that the thread provides (here in XDA) place it on your device, make sure you extract the boot.img, reboot to recovery, wipe everything, install CM10.zip and also the Google Apps.zip
This made all the difference for me my first time.

Developing start (noob)

Hello, I'm Dragos from Romania. I haven't developed any ROMs yet and I thought I could ask you: how exactly to start developing? I mean, how to convert a RUU into flashable zip with only the ROM inside it etc. ('cause firstly I want to develop a stock ROM)? I know how to modify already made zip, but I don't know how to create it first.
Thanks a lot

It's better you start with a port and then you could make your own rom

[Q] Installing a custom rom from another phone

Hello friends, I wanted to ask how do I install the rom aceone 2.2 for the HTC Wildfire S, had done something similar with DroidAce V3 Final ROM Galaxy Ace and behaved for this terminal here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227402
Well, as you have to do to install it then? parameters must be changed? or you have to create the rom from cm7 to 0?, I hope to help me because roms how are you are not here, because its 20 performance and battery tweaks, advertising and other host is the best custom rom for Ace
Greetings and thanks from now
I don't quite understand what you're trying to say......If your talking about flashing the rom(Aceone v2.2) made for Galaxy Ace then you can't......It should be ported for our phones first
Don't flash it if you don't want an expensive paperweight

+1 By Paper weight he means if you want to brick your phone flash then flash that zip. You can however learn the skills to port a rom and then port roms for us but beware they can sometimes be very buggy.
Errm yes you can flash DroidWFS (my port). I searched the internet for "Aceone V2.2" but it didn't return any results.

Yeh, I think Aceone is not posted on XDA but on other forums. Youtube results came up though.

Nothing like the real thang =]
Hello everyone, thanks alot Rushing for the roms.
I don't see the data toggle in the telus T989D stock rom, i know it may not be easy to add but if someone has a flashable zip to add that together with other toggles would be appreciated.
About the jellybeast is it themed or not?, im just looking for plain stock Telus jellybean rom, rooted, CIQ free, not themed, bit debloated with data toggle, 4 way reboot if possible. as Mr. X used to deliver stock roms (unfortunately i couldnt find a JB stock telus rom from him).
Please i hope you can help me with that. It's been a long time that i have not been active in XDA and many things have changed around, took me sometime to find working links again, many threads have been closed and there are new ones for the same thing but with no information, just links.
I no longer have this phone but my partner does and he was in Juggernaut gingerbread, after his phone went crazy yesterday i had to rush and install telus stock rom (thanks again @Rushing) but data toggle is important.
TIA
Try a rom with the 20 toggles mod.
Thanks but i need stock.
If someone has a link to stock T989D jellybean, rooted, CIQ free, 20 toggles mod (whatever is called, need data toggle) , 4 way reboot, NOT themed please let me know. Thanks alot! :highfive:

Samsung galaxy ace II [GT-I1860] JB help.

Samsung galaxy ace II [GT-I1860] JB help/ questions.
hey everyone today ive decided to make a thread for the galaxy ace 2 Jellybean users to help awnser your problems and lags and what causes them, and to ask my own questions...
JellyBean 4.1.2 (Stock rom) having tried this rom ive currently found no problems other than that horrible lock screen,
if you switch it off / lock it (via the power button) and then switch the screen on again and you get a black screen
thus so disabling the usage of lock screen/sleep does anyone know how to fix this or am i just flashing the wrong/unstable rom...
if you have a stable rom for the ace 2 (GB & JB) please share :good:
thank you and all the best,
-Speedtrix.
(PS. im not noob so fell free to use all terms to say what you think.) :good:
I would use cm10.1 and above because i never liked stock jb on our phone :/ as for gb theres no custom rom

i dont have ginger bread firmware for any european contry

im not sure what to use anymore but im really desprete for a stable firmware even if it means going back to gingerbread
