Hi Sir, If you are going to use a " .PIT FILE " for SIII-mini... You are going to " CHECK RE-PARTITION "
But if You aren't going to use a ".PIT FILE" then you will just leave it " UNCHECK or BLANK in REPARTITION box "
:: AT ODIN :: " check boxes at PDA, PHONE, CSC "
- In PDA box.. the PDA FILE browsing it to where you've extract it .. example of PDA FILE NAME : PDA_S5830i_XXLF3.tar.md5
- In PHONE box.. the MODEM FILE.. EX: MODEM_S5830i_DDLF1.tar.md5
- In CSC box.. CSC FILE Like this " CSC_S5830i_ODDLF1.tar.md5 "
- It is ready now to START FLASHING..
a liitle thanks if I shared a little help..
NOTES:
- AFTER FLASHING, YOUR SIII-mini PHONE STATE would be at " NO ROOT or NOT ROOTED "
- THE RECOVERY will be also at " STOCK RECOVERY not CWM or CLOCKWORKMOD recovery "
- In other words, It is purely the firmware itself or it is an " UNTOUCHED ROM "

the .rar file only contains CSC and PDA files... and after flashin there is no network as PHONE file is missing....
any suggestions please...
Just install any rom that have all these files and then using registry fix upgrade to the latest DDJG4 ROM which is far more better and stable..
am using the same ... after changing a lot of rom .. its the best i found for indian galaxies.. need more help .. do write dowm.
U can also directly install DDJG4 through ODIN.. it has all the files .... i never needed modem or csc file only pda and pit did the upgrade.

Did you enable repartition checkbox while flashing via odin and did you use the 512.pit file? If I 'm not wrong ddjg4 is a single tar which has the pda, modem and csc. Select pda in odin and point to the tar file.

i enabled repartition but still getin the same error.... do i have to format my phone b4 doin it.. m using XXJPC firmware currently and want to move back to the official one... please help...
JPC is a real pain ... has lot of bugs .. also it changes the product code to KOR after reading a lot i managed to get back my product code to INU ....
Try doing a factory reset and then flashing with ODIN with repartition on .... or use the registry hack method and upgrade to DDJG4 via kies.
first format ur internal sd card and then ur device and then try the method below
the rar file ddjg4 contains 2 files 1)add_odd and 2) dll file. , add_odd .. is a tar file just ignore the dll file...
1) open odin , tick the repartition ..
2) select the 512.pit file
3) select the add_odd as pda
4)remove the sim and the sd card
5) put the battery and the back cover
6) put ur device in the download mode
7) connect device to computer (using data cable)
8) click start
and i think you should be back to ddjg4

Question about s6102

Hello, i have firmware for s6102 and odin v1.85...now when i extract firmware for s6102 i get these files:
DefaultCalDataWithBoot_S6102XXKL8_REV02.tar
GT-S6102-MULTI-CSC-OXEKL8.tar.md5
MODEM_S6102XXKL8_REV02.tar.md5
PDA_S6102XXKL8_REV02.tar.md5
Should i select all these files and do i need to select pit and/or repartition to flash my phone?
Thanks
This is Galaxy Y's forum! Anyway, just select PDA, Phone and CSC. And leave all checkboxes default.

s6102 is a member of galaxy y familiy. most of applicable mod for sgy will work on s6102 too. except for the rom and kernel of course.
You can find a thread dedicated to Galaxy Y Duos in accessories section.

[Q] Android Tool kit for Galaxy note 2

Hi there.
Apparently I can't post this under galaxy note II android development (due to the low number of posts) so I have no choice but to ask you here instead.
I have myself a GT N7105 version of the samsung galaxy note 2. I'm trying to use the android tool kit to root my phone. However after choosing my Recovery option and superuser method, it says creating tar file to flash ..
tools\tar: boot.img: could not create file: permission denied
tools\tar: error exit delayed from previous errors
tools\tar: recovery.img: could not create file: permission denied
tools]tar: error exit delayed from previous errors
IZArc Command Line Compression Add-On Version 1.1 <Build: 130>
Copyright <c> 2007 Ivan ......
archive file: boot-insecure-dll1-recovery-n7105.tar
adding: boot.img ok
adding: recovery.img ok
1 file<s> moved.
Click to collapse
and it got stuck there.
it doesn't show me any instructions after that .
I used the original stickied android tool kit thread in the GT N7105 android development forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052779) , I watched the video in the 4th post (step by step guide on what to do). in the video, something else appeared after the last sentence "1 file<s> moved" and it asks him to plug it in with USB debugging mode enabled.
Any idea what I should do? Do take note what I said above doesn't always appear. Usually only the first part appears i.e. this
tools\tar: boot.img: could not create file: permission denied
tools\tar: error exit delayed from previous errors
tools\tar: recovery.img: could not create file: permission denied
tools]tar: error exit delayed from previous errors

If you wanted to know what I did before this,
I flashed my note 2 back to it's stock rom following the instructions in this site (http://www.smartphonejam.com/2012/1...te-2-Back-to-Original-Stock-ROM-Firmware.html) -> basically just using Odin to flash to stock rom.
As the GT N7105 stock rom wasn't up for download there, I downloaded it off here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032849 .
I used this one N7105XXDLL7 N7105OLBDLL2 - Download - Singapore 2012 December.
________________________________________________
Any idea what I should do to get permission to create the tar file? Maybe I flashed the wrong stock rom using odin ? Thanks.
p.s. I know how to root my phone using other methods but I want to try out this one so if you are not going to give me constructive feedback then I don't need your reply here. Thanks (;

Download 'Triangle Away' from play store and reset binary counter to zero ( need root )
Download your official firmware from www.sammobile.com ( in the 'firmware' section, download it based on your country )
It may require you to register in the site .....
Download Odin from the link
http://ul.to/f/rwp6rq
Extract the firmware zip file ( mostly you will get a single tar or md5 file )
Switch off phone ... hold volume down-power-home key together .... in the screen that appears press volume up again (to continue)
Open Odin .... connect device via usb
Odin will recognise your phone
Click the pda button in Odin and select the extracted file
Make sure only 'f.reset time ' and 'auto reboot' are checked
Click start button and wait ..... the phone will reboot automatically....
Hope it helps...

Yes everything will be gone ....
Except for the system apps ( like my files , play store etc ... all those stuffs which were there when you brought the phone )
Creating complete backup is not better in this case.... if you backup apps ( including their data ) with titanium backups ... you need to root again to restore them..!!
Better go for app backup software ( that backups only apps, and do not require root access ) like 'App backup& restore ' , 'super backup' etc.
Make sure the backup is files are in external sdcard (move the files to ext sd if they came in internal after backup)
Hope it helps..
