I was wondering what is the best DPI for my Galaxy Note 2, I tried other people's suggestions but it didn't work for me so I was wondering how Google decided on their DPI. Considering they're in charge of Android they must know the optimal level so I used the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 4 as reference:

}
So if Google designed a 5.5 inch screen device with 720x1280 resolution, it would most likely be at 270 DPI
I know this won't help a lot of you how it helped me but just thought I'd share it just on the hunch that it might at least help the 1% :silly:
And no FC's or anything!
Nova Launcher at 270 DPI with 5x6 Desktop Grid and Icon Size at 110%.
Worth a try. Good luck.
The mathematical basis to your experimentation made my inner geek smile. Just wanted to say thanks for that
Not sure it is Google that sets the DPI, probably Samsung.
That said I use 241 since my days using Slim ROM. I use Apex and 8x9

Haha I wasn't talking about specifically the device I was just commending the likely hood of the Android team knowing better than Samsung, really I just wanted to see what would be best knowing the proportions of the Nexus devices out now But thanks for the input I love Slim ROM!

Sorry bro its a college students drawing of what they want it to look like. Cool though.
All but the buttons look cool.

Deebo took your bike too?
1080p screen?lul.
I was posting it because I love the widget. Someone needs to make a widget like that.
I do graphic art so I do have a good understanding of how Photoshop works.
Here is one of my pieces....
love the buttons
Why thank you. This was a concept piece for my work, so I had to remove a bunch of stuff off of this image before posting it because of copy rights.
The firs phone looks far too thin, and looks too much like a galaxy s II
That dangerously thin, where it would be a liability to the durability of the device. Unless it were made of really strong material
Bad concept imo

That looks awesome, I like everything on it.
I wish I knew how to code so I could develop a widget just like that clock one! Otherwise, the phone looks great!
i do like the concept of the on screen keys being themed. Would be awesome if you can flash different zips to change the color and style. I'm looking foward to a phone that you can increase the screen size without increasing the phone size by removing the softkeys and using that area for screen
I'll take that clock any day...
Are there any DEV's that would be willing to make that clock? I would even pay for that clock! I am a graphic artist and would be more than happy to help. PM me if you can, should be simple I think, just take a regular clock apk and add in the day and night feature to rotate and maybe more.
Today you can download the first official firmware of the Galaxy S III at SamMobile.
Yesterday we heard about the ROOT fix for the Galaxy S III by XDA developer Chainfire.
To make everything OK we decided to give the first rom now for the public!
The developers could start porting the new Touch-Wizz to the Galaxy S II or Galaxy Note.
They can find all the voice controls and all the motion control software in this rom!!
Lets hope that the developers are happy now!
So now the wait is over…
We only need to wait for Samsung to open the sources and the phone itself.
We like to thank our insider for giving us the first rom…
Information about the rom:
GT-I9300 = Galaxy S III
I9300XXALE8
XXA = Europe
L = 2012
E = May
8 = version
CSC version is: OJVLE4 ( Turkey )

So my Nexus has been under repair for the last two weeks. Just got it back last night.
When I sent it in for repair there were only a handful of roms, now there are like ...lots.
So, was wondering, what is considered right now by the Verizon community for the Nexus, the most complete, feature rich, stable working rom for Jellybean?
I know it's a loaded question, but hopefully someone can give some insight
you should trie this one!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613902
I`m using the maguro version and its great!!! its almost nothing you cant change on this rom!! It is simply amazing:laugh:

If you are interested in Jellybean, I would suggest Eclipse Jellybean. I have flashed Paranoid and Vicious and they are both very good ROMs but I really like the included features and continuous updates of Eclipse. I am on verizon as well and have had zero problems with the exception of the custom navbar utility. Not the navbar itself, mind you, just the utility that allows you to customize the softkey icons on the fly. Otherwise, the features are great and they don't include a ton of useless features and mods that will add to instability, kill your battery, or just slow your phone.
Well, I think that ParanoidAndroid is one of the best rom.
The hybrid mode made your phone looks completely different. It's awesome.
It's based CM10.
The thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619582
Unfortunately, not everything is so good in this rom. The actual versions are not very stable (maybe for the CM kernel). I would recommend to wait untill ParanoidAndroid 2.0 (which should be very stable).
This is an example of how my Gnex looks like:

What a great idea, that's really neat. Can imagine a few of these will pop up in screen shot threads - saves the hassle of doing it in Photoshop and so on. Any chance of adding the blue S III?

It's kinda in the works, but I've been saying that for a while so don't expect it anytime soon, sorry.
Will new devices be supported for frame generators? HTC One or and Galaxy S 4? Options for colors like black and white for devices that come in multiple colors?

Okay guys, we - the owners of the flo are very proud of our devices, not only by it's stunning sharp screen, but also the lovely color reproduction. Some people might think that Live Wallpaper is a battery killer, but the truth is it's not, I don't experience any unusual power drop at all when switching from "dead" to live wallpapers. :fingers-crossed:
Taking the advantage of Adreno 320, the N7 can run live wallpaper smooth as silk, the lag is very hard to notice. So, time for decorations, and btw I will only suggest the best Live Wallpapers that LOOK GOOD EXCLUSIVELY ON THE N7. I hope you can do the same :highfive:
