Hi everyone, I was wondering how can we change from superuser to SuperSU, when superuser is pre-installed in a ROM.
I use Vengeance kernel with Stock 4.1.B.1.13 wich is pre-rooted by jader.
Do I need to flash something via Recovery?
Thanks

It's very easy: install it,then in setting(of supersu)chose install it as system app....voila..
Inviato da me!
No Recovery necessary, just download SuperSU from Play Store, start it up and it should do the deal. Make sure to allow root access by Superuser, when it is asked.
SuperSU will ask for root permissions, which need to be given by old Superuser app, only then SuperSU can install its own libraries.
When SuperSU successfully installs itself, then you may remove Superuser.

I just flashed this on LB, and i used DoomLord Easy Rooting Toolkit v17, and it cannot root.
It indicated that TVR2.9 is not supported. Any guys managed to root this thing?
EDIT: SOLVED (FLASH SUPERUSER ZIP)
Isn't TVRx already rooted?

All custom roms are rooted [I mean that they are supposed to be pre-rooted]. But if you are not sure whether you have superuser access or not, kindly use this app to check that - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abcdjdj.rootverifier
If it says that you are not rooted then kindly flash this zip - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1772586&d=1362200612

Thanks a lot, I guess its the super SU problem. How bout CWM? I can't seem to push this into it even with busybox ver 1.20.2
I had a rooted M8, however something was going wrong as it constantly rebooted. So I did a factory reset and that fixed the problem. However now it won't root for some reason. I have TWRP recovery and flashed the root file however when I do root checker it stated that I do not have root access. Anyone know what's wrong?

Have you tried flashing a different version of the root program? I assume it's SuperSU (From Chainfire) ? It still gave me root access on 1.94 I saw that he already updated to version 2.00 by now.
Perhaps try a different version and see what it does.

I used SuperSU. Should I try Super User?
Just use the normal install method from Google play. Twrp auto Installs the su binary the first time it is booted in to. Then just update super su via play store.

Once booted into the os you should see the super su app. Go to play store and update it.
Rom: ViperOneM8 1.8.0
Somehow I have lost root on my phone???
I was messing with upgrading the firmware and radio.
The phone is working but I can't access any app which required root and SU.
Using Root Checker I got this message: Sorry! This device does not have proper root access.
How do I fix this???
Thx...
Download latest superuser binary and flash in recovery
Yeah, download newest supersu libraries and flash it or try wiping data of supersu app, this was also sometimes the problem.
Sent from Xperia Z1, or maybe not anymore
Hello!
So, yesterday I somehow got bootloop with the stock .242 rom on which had recovery, root and xposed. Then I just re-flashed the system using flashtool. I was lazy to do the downgrade rooting method, so I rooted it using kingroot and then installed the dualrecovery from NUT. From there, I installed a .270 .zip which I made using PRF creator and also flashed the dualrecovery zip. The rom runs fine, but I don't have root! When I start SuperSU it says that there is no su binary. I can do anything, it just doesn't work. Could someone explain me what the hell is that or what did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I found out that I was using a too old supersu.zip. Now it is working.
i getting this on Supersu
there is no SU binary installed and Supersu cannot install it. this is a problem!
if you just upgraded to android 5.0 you need to manually re root consult the relevant forum for your device!

I had absolutely no problems with root and ARHD 50.2. Flash it again, and DON'T flash SuperSU when twrp ask for it.
If it's still give problems, just flash latest SuperSU for MM and it should work without problems.
