I love this phone

I had the OG Evo and was reluctant to get rid of it. Because it was rooted and customized just the way I wanted it. But, after purchasing this NOTE 2. I don't regret it at all. This is the best phone ever and the fastest even on Sprint network.

I was thinking the same thing tonight - I am hooked on This phone. I sure hope in 2 years when I am up on contract they will be selling the note 3 or 4 as this is the perfect form factor for me. Big as possible while still fitting in my pocket.

I was thinking the same thing.. Because after using this I can't see myself using a smaller screen phone at all

I am so hesitant, because its like...5.5" seems so big. I don't want to hate it then go to a GSIII and think its small....but after playing with it at a Sprint store...I bought 2 cases for it and I don't even own the phone haha. 1 more week and this thing will be mine!

You won't regret it - This is the exact perfect size phone. I can easily use it one handed and it fits in all my pants pockets.

anything bigger.... i will pass but i also wont mind a 5" even screen.... i dont know... the S3 to me looks like the mini now... i dont see myself going back to any other non note device either

Same here haha. I remember buying the OG EVO and thinking that was a beast. A week into it and it seemed perfect. It's how I justified trying this one; I figured the same thing would happen. I just got the phone today and I know I'm gonna love it. :good:

I love the screen size it is perfect. Power is awesome and the spen is great. No way I will ever go back to a smaller device and would like to stick to the note lineup. I actually feel this phone will satisfy my tech lust as I call it. I will be keeping this much longer than my s3

I'm thinking Note 2 but is the S4 just too close

I am thinking of going from s3 to note 2 but damn the S4 rumors are hot and heavy and looking sexy. Thoughts? I'd really like a semi tablet for work

I went from the GALAXY S III to the Note II and haven't looked back -- the Note II is a dream to use, feels great in the hand and in many ways has replaced my computer for every day tasks (e-mail, web browsing, basic document and spreadsheet creation, calendar management, and social networking). I absolutely love it and would wholeheartedly recommend one.

Ah man I'm so itching to pull the trigger on this. I'm so torn though because if I see a note 7.0 I might want to hop on that. So much internal struggle to spend my money

I went from note 1 to note 2 and haven't looked back. Faster, stronger, easier, more toys, and stupendous battery. Average use at work would mean charging by 2:00, now I go home with 50-60% left. No joke.

imo I like having 2 devices. cuz I'm always paranoid Ill accidentally drop the note2 and ill be ****ed if the screen cracks. If I can do a redo ill get a s3 and save another $100 for a n7.
OP. I suggest to wait for the S4. But gotta admit, that's a long ass wait till it drops.

Note II is all about the pen for me. I personally wouldn't wait for the S4. Note3 maybe =P

S3 to Note 2, I will only stick with Note series

Maybe I'll bring back that ipad mini I picked up and upgrade my s3. Oh the pressure!

If it's in your budget, get the note 2 now and wait a month or two after the S4 comes out to see if it's worth getting and not plagued with issues. Then sell the note 2 and pay the extra 150 dollars or so to get the S4.
The note 2 is an extremely solid device. You might end up waiting 6 months for a device that isn't worth waiting for

If the S4 is worth getting, I plan on doing my plan above. But imagine putting off getting a great phone now and the S4 ends up being a total disappointment (just like the Nexus 4 IMO)
Edit: I hope it's safe to criticize the Nexus 4 here. That's like blasphemy in some forums. Lol

I would do what I did, get the note 2 now, and if you want the S4 later open a second line, sell the note 2 for profit, and take your first line down to the bare minimum.

I went from S3 to the Note 2.
Rooted and flashed Jelly Thunder the first day, haven't looked back.
The multi-view is amazing for multi-tasking. The phone is ridiculously fast stock, I can't imagine over clocking, and the battery has lasted me close to two days on normal use.
The S pen is also pretty fun to use

Yeah so wait for the S4 to come out oh but it doesn't have S-Pen functions oops now you find out the Note 3 is about to come out then you wait for it but oh the processor is not as fast as you'd like it to be so then the Note 3 is out but the S5 is announced oh but it doesn't do my chores for me then oops the Note 4 is announced so let's wait for that oh but it doesn't make me look thinner... then the S6 is announced...
Unless you have an unlimited pit of money, you shouldn't worry about new tech or getting the latest and greatest (because the latest and greatest gets unseated tomorrow). Pull the trigger, experience what ever pulls you towards it, then wait for another upgrade price to come around since the tech will always be newer, better, and more expensive. :laugh:

Hahaha yeah I hear you there. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger, I am just thinking hard about it. I love my S3 but I want some more productivity tools that the spen offers. I have an ipad mini and even though it's sexy and slick it just reminded me of why I left the iPhone. Very closed and useless with no wifi, I can't even blue tooth transfer files to it

I think ifbit has the octa5 it wouod be an upgrade but I still woukd not leave my Note2 for it. I am waiting for the Note3 I feel the Note line is better with more features than the S series

No. If the leak holds true then the GS4 has got to be the laziest design upgrade, ever.
Rather keep my horses tight for the Note 3

Still haven't seen a phone announcement that makes me feel compelled to part with money for a new phone. 8 cores are cool but there are still nothing software wise that makes all those cores worth it.

It will all depend on the specs. If it gets wireless charging, way better processor, 2gb ram, 32gb internal memory, same or better battery that's removable and better features plus the ones I currently have then yes I may sell my note 2 for the gs4. But it really has to impress for me to go through the trouble of selling my note 2 and buying the s4 at full retail.

Waiting for the note 3 regardless. However, if I didn't know about the note 2, and stuck with the galaxy s line, I wouldn't go for the s4 based on the leaked photos that I hope aren't real, spec wise with a different look, I'd be all over it.

Nope. Note for life. Will never go back to a GSx phone. All the rumored tech will make it to the Note lineup eventually anyway. I love my N2 too much to blow an upgrade on an inbetween phone.

It remains to be seen if the footprint of the phone gets bigger with that extra .4 inches of screen; it may be the same size! That'd be cool. But regardless, the S4 looks boring and it'll be more than 2 years until 4 cores of processing will not get you where you need to be. 8 core phones are something that I completely do not care about, I'd rather they put that effort into better design materials.

Note 3!!! Anything less is uncivilized!!!

Agreed. Although, the iphone 4G to 4GS (or 3G to 3GS) set the precedent for lame/lazy design upgrades. I think Samsung is just following suit.

I am not impressed just yet. I will have to see it in person first. As I have stated before, I am waiting for the Note 3. One good thing about the GS4, is that we note users will get all of the innovations of the GS4 plus more!!!

Helping a friend fix his 4runner climbed up to look at the squeaking belt.... was in my front pocket of my pullover didn't even know it happened till i got back in my car pressure right in the middle of the screen..... I think i might replace the front glass 30.00 on ebay including tools and adhesive

Hehe nice. I just started trying to fix things. But the thing is that I dont have that much time since my dad passed away and well I work then my gf gets froms school and so on lol. If the Note 3 really is going to be that big of an upgrade I might just have to get one. I love my Note 2 but if the Note 3 has that you're of screen and is RBG, I might go with one. It would just be nice to not have to worry about breaking my screen because I set my phone down on the table to hard or drop it a few inches.
My biggest fear is a noticeable scratch or broken screen with my Note 2. I have insurance but still. If that fear could be taken away with a Note 3 then I would go for it. The only thing I'm worried about with the Note 3 is the display quality. If they go pentile then I'll be keeping my Note 2 until then Note 4.

Ill be preordering the s4 on at&t in a few weeks and sell my note 2 while its still worth over $450. If i dont like the s4 ill get the htc one dev edition. Kinda curious to see if a new nexus phone in announced in may.

I heard July and November. I am waiting for the nexus. I had 3 of them. The development is always superior. Check out the # of ROMs for the N4 or N7. In addition CM has announced they will not support the S4. Most of the ROMs for our device are based on CM. Not a phone I want if that is the case.

Not every cm dev gave up. Cm himself also stated he never said he wouldnt support it. Id be shocked if we get no aosp roms. But yeah im keeping my eye out for the next nexus. FYI i own a nexus 7.

Me too. I also had the Nexus 1, Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus... Only have the Note 2 cuz Google could not ship me a Nexus 4 when I was switching to TMO from Verizon haha.
