Hi
Has anybody found the solution for it. I'm also unable to install the offline files manually. I also tried clearing the cache then un-installing and re-installing the app but to no avail.
Thanks

I tried several things and eventually got my offline french to work. Firstly I was only looking for an alternative download method because the download / install from Google Play kept failing. I suspect the solution to my original download problem and that to the unzip route is the same. Translate itself most be installed on the PHONE and not on the SD Card.
I downloaded the two zip files (c.zip and fr.zip) thanks to SmOgER, unzipped them on my PC then downloaded them onto my SD Card. It did not work
I then placed the actual zip files on the SD Card at: SD/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.translate/files/ol/v3r1/tmp\v3r1\zip then I Opened Translate, went into offline packages and selected French. It worked, it recognised the zip files (and did not try to download then again it just went straight into installation.
One complication maybe. The uncompressed c.zip creates a folder call c, under SD/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.translate/files/ol/v3r1. This is where the Profiles.txt file goes.
I suspect that if I had moved Translate itself from the SD Card onto the phone and installed the offline package from Google Play it too would have worked.
still not working

Hi guys , " again "
seems i did it :3 :good:
it's a simple trick , you only need
two zip files (c.zip and language.zip) - check old comment ( SmOgER :good: )
download it on pc , and put it on SD card , wherever , just on the sd Card
You need Also a " free " file manger - which is excellent - app on Google play : Es File Explorer
and it's icon in the attch pic
well , the trick is to activate WiFi connection then start normally downloading the Core zip , just don't wait the whole time, after 2 sec , disable wifi connection , open Es File Manger , Overwrite that zip which named " C.zip" which you copied befor on SD , at SD/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.translate/files/ol/v3r1/tmp\v3r1\zip , don't Forget " Overwrite ", now again activate wifi , it will complete directly and start downloading the Offline package of language , you just have to do the same steps befor and replace the language zip file on ur SD to the /tmp\v3r1\zip folder , and
the way how it looks like in attch pics

there must be some other location where google translate stores configuration option that tell it what languages are installed - if that configuration file does not say "german" then even if you have copied the german dictionary files, still it will not see them, this is my explanation

Device info:
GALAXY (PDA with GPS, no phone)
a.k.a. Dopod P100 and QTEK G100, 128MB flash size
This device is CID locked, but Wizard tools (incl. lokiwiz) I tried were unsuccessful. True, this is not a Wizard, but there are surely no Galaxy tools! (and since few people have bought this, there's no need)
DIDN'T WORK...
One week of trying to use different RUU's and using a backed-up ROM from a good fellow here. Since I don't have access to a 256MB SD card, and my 1Gig card didn't seem to work with NTRW [write], even though I tried to paste the working backup ROM over top of my backup, it was rejected.
THIS WORKED 100% for ME...
I successfully changed the default language from Traditional Chinese to English by doing this...
The "J Cat Switch" method:
EXPERIMENTAL - FOR REFERENCE ONLY...
DO NOT TRY THE FOLLOWING OR YOU MAY END UP WITH A CUTE
DISFUNCTIONAL PAPERWEIGHT WITHOUT A WARRANTY!
1.Unzip a folder of the latest NATIVE language flash (in my case: TCHinese), making sure it INCLUDES a bootloader (in my case: CEBL.nbf).
2.Unzip a folder of the flash that you WANT (in my case: WWEnglish)
and it doesn't matter whether or not the bootloader is included.
3. Be sure the CEOS.nbf (the biggest) files in each folder are EXACTLY the same size.
4. Sync with Activesync. Start the Native RomUpdateUtility. Hit NEXT, NEXT, (etc.) to get the machine flashing. Keep your eye on the machine and notice WHEN THE BARS START MOVING, FLASHING THE BOOTLOADER. Remember the last button you clicked before this happened. LET THE FULL FLASH COMPLETE. This was practice for you to SEE WHEN the bars start moving and say ("copying bootloader"). set up the screen and get the machine into Activesync again.
6. CRUCIAL STEP: With folders side-by-side, repeat STEP 4. This time, when you FIRST see the bars moving (copying bootloader), IMMEDIATELY DRAG and DROP the CEOS THAT YOU WANT into your folder with the native Language CEOS and hit "Y" to Replace the file... I believe you have about TWO SECONDS OR LESS!!! I don't know what happens if you are too late!!!
7. Let it complete.
8. Enjoy!
----------
Another alternative would maybe be to quickly DELETE the original CEOS and then the drag - drop (switch).
This doesn't require you to hit "Y" to Replace.
-J Cat
I need your help
I belive you can save me.
I have dopod P100 and trying to change WM5 Korean.
Could you let me know how I can unzip a folder of the latest NATIVE language flash. I don't understand this.
Please let me know tools you used for this and explain in detail if possible.
Thank you very much.
native means the original language (and region) of the device.
I am not sure which languages are available for qtek g100 or dopod p100... most likely german,
english, and both chinese languages.
mine, bought in taiwan was traditional chinese
english (meant for europe) would not allow flashing until I forced it.
I'm not aware that a korean rom is available for the GALAXY. can you use an english rom?
also, be careful because some experience is necessary before trying this!
-j cat
Thank you for posting reply
Thank you very much for your reply.
G300 is another name of Galaxy and its OS is Korean version(WM5).
I bought Dopod P100 in TianJin(China)
I think I have Korean Rom, but not Chinese ROM of Dopod P100.
It has following files in RUU_v1.0_G300_KOR(Rar zipped excutable file).
CEBL.nbf
CEOS.nbf
EnterBootLoader
readme
ROMUpdateUtility
RUUClientDriver.dll
RUUGetInfo
RUUResource.dll
I attached Korean ROM, if possible, could you verify if files are correct?
I think I can change language through what you did. If I am able to do it, I think I can help many korean Galaxy user who wants to change language from Korean to English.
Could you please let me know where you get the following?
1. Chinese language flash.
2. English language flash(If I fail to install Korean version, I'll installl English WM5)
3. Native RomUpdateUtility
Please let me know what do I need to do? What kind of experience do I need?
Thank you very much and help me please....

27/04/09 - A new "Hebrew support only" file:
This file is for Hebrew support only - SMS, Emails, Websites etc etc...
It works for me on every WM 6.1 / 6.5 ROM I ever flashed.
Please read this:
1) If the Hebrew on your device works good for you, don't upgrade.
2) You must mark Hebrew in the "regional settings" of your device/OS.
3) There is absolutely no Hebrew translations in this file - except dates in calendar (אפריל instead April for example).
4) This file doesn't fix the Opera mirrored Hebrew,
for the fix - go to post 17.
5) this files doesn't works with IE6 yet (so you can't access Hebrew sites with Internet Explorer, use Opera for now...).

3) Internet Explorer 6 doesn't work with Hebrew website - we still work on it...
4) Which keyboard should I use?
For a free Hebrew keyboard, I recommended you the great FingerKeyboard2.1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122
PLEASE READ THE THREAD BEFORE ASKING A NEW QUESTIONS!
PLEASE READ THE INSTALL INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY!
Enjoy
How to install:
1) Install the Heb support only.cab
2) Install the Heb MUI - OS and Manila.cab
Very important: don't install the second file before you installing the Heb support only.cab !!!
finally you posted it
but you forgot to warn everyone:
Guys, if you already have Hebrew support on your device you probably will need to do a HR before you install this support.
if you only using the free Hebrew support (polaris proect) on your phone - install only the second file and it should work (but you will probably see some arabic numbers on your screen from time to time )
If I just want the ability to see and enter Hebrew text, but no Hebrew interface, could I use this?

Yes, you need to install only the first cab ("Heb support only.cab").
But with the new ROMs you can't use Hebrew on the HTC "official" keyboard, so you need to Install FingerKeyboard2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487677
it works great with Hebrew.
thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you very much.
toda raba.
Because a lot of people asked me to, I decide to upload a cab with only the new Manila translation, in case you prefer to use your phone with the English MUI but still want the TF3D in Hebrew
does this version allow u to write sms with right alignment?
so that the hebrew comes out ok, and you can select the text nicely?
It would be nice, if in sms screen we can select the GO (global Oriention) for henrew or english

if you starting the SMS with Hebrew letter, it'll be RTL.

Hi Guys.......I'm a newbee
First of all thanks for all your work.
I just received my new Blackstone (T8282) and i have a few questions:
1. What is Manila? & What is Manila V3
2. I'm only interested in Hebrew Support so i understand that i only need to install "Heb support only.cab " , but will it work on any ROM (i still have original HTC) or only the ROM with Manila V3 on it? (are the Hebrew cabs dependant on which Manila version i have or which ROM version i have installed)??
Would appreciate anyones help,.......i'm just starting to load programs (-can someone also direct me to the link for IGO8 installation for Blackstone)
Thank you for your great work!
Just wanted to confirm it works fantastic (I use the English UI with Hebrew support). The only issue is the Opera which displays Hebrew in a wrong direction. Could you please tell me if there is an Opera build that displays RTL languages correctly? Thank you again.

No, the Hebrew support it's only for reading and writing Hebrew on your device.

1) Manila = TF3D = Touch Flo 3D, for more information just read the guide you got with your device or search the forum.
2) The "Heb support only.cab" is for Hebrew support only... and it's not connected to the Manila version at all. and it works on any Blackstone ROM I ever had (and I had a lot! )

Thankyou avimak & off-course the "Dude", the Hebrew Support cab seems to be working well, both in Word Documents & in Opera (Opera is in the ROM??). I i see that others have complained that the Opera Hebrew is in the wrong direction, maybe its because they also installed the MUI cab??, i also had this issue on my Trinity, solved it the same way you stated.
The HTTP sites do seem to take a long time to load, can you suggest anything here?
Can you tell me where in the PPC directory i can load/copy known links for Opera & IE?
Again thanks for all the help & efforts.
Hi Folks,
I've noticed that theres no "nice" application to handle mui-files in different languages and versions. I translated an application using res-hacker. As a new version arrived, I had to search every single node if there's a new translation string. So I decied to code a application for this. Today I finished the first alpha version, which is able to show you a single file. No editing is possible right now.

Goal will be to have a handle of 4 files:
- base language old version
- translated old version
- base language new version
- translated new version <- this will be the file you edit
Also I will mark differences in colors in a further version.
It's all based upon an open source project from codeplex: http://anolis.codeplex.com/
As its a GPL Project, so I'll release my project as a open source project soon.
So give me a feedback IF such a project is wanted, as if not I can stop wasting time
What you need for running this application:
- Windows XP 32 (tested) others may work but I didn't try jet
- .Net Framework 3.5 at least
more to come
even more to come

i could really appreciate an app like this one.. this would make translation more easily for foreign languages as most sources are either en or cn ..
my native lang is de, so this would really be a very helpful app!
would be nice if you continue development
de..
hallo Sqoerk,
lg, nosedive
Yes, I won't drop the development right now. I'm working on loading 4 files right now. I managed the loading of 4 different files, but the viewer is only loaded once. So you can only see the strings of one file at the same time. But I'll get my hands on it
Hoping to get this big step soon. After this I'm watching forward to get a save file option
looks like it will be a very handy program!
That's very helkpfull and a cool idea. I as supporter for so many skins and themes a have to do a lot of things. This helps me out of some truoble. Thank you very much for this
Nice! It will be more easy now for translat mui for messaging CLient

Great idea! Well, I'm waiting for version with edit enabled .
What about adding "search in google translate" function? It would make translation of programs much easier .
hi dude
I have 2 question :
#1 . res-hacker didn't support persian and arabic language completely . did you do any thing for this ?
#2 .when I add the edited mui files to my .cab file ( using ce cab manager) it makes certificate error and place some mui file manually in some roms the app didn't shows anything . do you have any solution ?

WOW awsome man! i have been hoping there would come along a utility like this! ive been translating using xn resource editor and restorator and when xn isnt corrupting my files and restorator isnt deleting all the stings i put in, it can take awhile.. but this.. Thank you!
I would ask 2 things if i can, could you add an option to expand all the items and maybe import/export as a file? so everything could be seen in one shot layed out in a txt file so you can easily look it over? plus that would also help importing things from other mui's instead of having to create them one by one or maybe a copy/paste function.. Thanks again.
Is this project dead?

Right To Left languages support
*Root is needed!
*this thing works on Windows and you need java
*It works on 6.1/6.2/6.2.1/6.2.2 kindle fire firmware [DON'T Ever try to change fonts you will stuck in bootloops]
NOTE:
Make libandroid_runtime.so the last file to replace.
the kindle will reboot and will stuck on Kinlde Fire boot screen, presss the power button for 20 seconds to turn it off, and then turn it on
give it some time and *viola!* the lockscreen will appear and you are ready to go .
Simplified steps:
*Download Madmack RTL Patacher HERE, then extract the files, you will see some subfolders and files what you need to remember is input and output subfolders and command.exe for later use.
*Go to your kindle open Root Explorer [or any app can do the same] and copy these files from your kindle to your pc
/system/framework/framework.jar
/system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so
/system/lib/libwebcore.so
*move these files to input subfolder , and then run commands.exe DO NOT close the black cmd screens that will pop up, wait till its finish, once its done you will find these files in the output subfolder
framework.jar
lib__bcore.so
libandroid_runtime.so
libicuuc-arabic.so
libwebcore.so
*move them to your kindle and replace the original files with the files you generated
framework.jar to /system/framework/
lib__bcore.so to /system/lib/
libandroid_runtime.so to /system/lib/
libicuuc-arabic.so to /system/lib/
libwebcore.so to /system/lib/
when you paste libandroid_runtime.so to its path /system/lib/ the device will reboot as there is something wrong "don't panic" after you move all the files and the reboot now your device support RTL languages, in twitter, browser, gmail .. etc.

make sure you do all the steps correctly,
first replace the generated framework.jar before other files in /lib folder
let libandroid_runtime.so file to be the last one to be placed and it will suddenly reboot
give it some time after booting and it will work inshallah

for the keyboard look in the market for ICS keyboard ( Arabic included )
don't try to change the fonts like I did .. i stucked in endless bootloops for days till i figure it out how to fix it!
Salam brother .. thanks for your reply
I went to the market and downloaded ics keyboard but the problem is i couldn't enable it .. when i go to the settings and i hit enable ics keyboard a small window pop up with 2 steps .. step 1: enable ics key board .. step 2 : switch to ics keyboard
when i hit step one i get a messege says it will never collect information ect then i hit ok it transfer me to the kindle keyboard settings which doesn't have anything related to ics keyboard then i hit back and press on step 2 to switch to ics keyboard but i have one option to choose only and that is kindle keyboard please help
look here or here
thank you it works perfectly now .. it was forcing me to close at first till i copied the file in data/data........../lib to system/lib and now its so perfect thanks again bro
Thanks, my ''older'' cousin bought one of these and he asked me to make it read arabic. Now i won't have to search, thanks.
Well, i did exactly what you said but looks like your order arent good? My kindle fire is stuck at Kindle Fire screen after rebooting to apply changes (moved libicuuc-arabic.so to /system/lib/
libwebcore.so to /system/lib/)
That is after it rebooted for the libandroid_runtime.so
i did the opposite of if yout are on 6.2 firmware, make libandroid_runtime.so last file to replace.

I say this because persian has some special characters (گ چ پ ژ) that arabic doen't have them.

and yeah the patcher will make your kindle read persian
for persian keyboard side download and other keyboard ( try ICS keyboard )

I'l make a video for a few days and belive me it is worth to switch to ICS, and if you are experiencing battery problems on ICS you should Calibrate Your Battery!

Don't forget to check the permissions as stated in the installation guide.
When you're done, just look in your widgets for "Google Search" bar, add it to one of your screens and that's it.
Click on it and it'll open Google Now, config everything you want in Settings and you're done.
