Anyone heard anything if it will come to note 2?
Never because the Note 2 doesn't have the sensor that automatically turn on or shut down the screen when you open the flap.
They best they could do is make a half baked one that only shows the Window and nothing more. You'll need to open the cover and swipe to unlock or turn off screen.

Yup. There is already an app that uses the proximity sensor for flip cover cases.

Yeah probably, but remember on the s4 it's held together by magnets where it doesn't exist on the note 2 so it'll probably flap around if they made one and the screen will also turn on and off constantly as the cover slides across the screen slightly. There's also problems of battery drain and possibly if it malfunctioning in darker environments.
Well probably never see one from Samsung since that's how they'll get us to upgrade, so anyone wanting this will need to make an app themselves and make their own cover.
I searched and found a Note2 flip case with call view windows. But I could only find them sold in India!

S4 has an infrared blaster not sensor.
It sends out infrared signals for tv etc but cant receive.
S-View has nothing to do with infrared.
The case has a small magnet which is detected by the phone and seen as a S-View cover.

Hope the magnet is in the cover, so i can use it with an app called Automaton. This app uses the magnetometer. This way we could have the s4 view on the note 2
Will report back after receiving the case. Then i will contact the developer of automaton for the magnet usage. Hopefully he is willing to create the S4 feature. (will donate for it ofcorse, and maby get more GN2 lovers interested :good: )

I just bought one.. they didn't have black.. so I'm going to try the navy.

Lol.. this is far out the most ugly case i have ever bought. . But still want to have it so badly, just to know if the magnet is in the cover and if we could have use for it. Otherwise, i would burn it instantly

The case has to come from Korea (hope the south) . It takes about 14 days to get her from now.
I think around okt 4th the case is here.

EXTRA NEWS:
To get a real S4 kind of solution with S-view, i now am testing TouchWake on my device. I use NEAK kernel and this superb kernel supports the TouchWake option. If you set the delay to 0 TouchWake works all the time.
I flashed the s4 theme from this forum. This theme is really good and gives a s4 like lockscreen (see attachment)
To answer calls and end calls without opening the case there is a standard option in the sammy rom.
Go to settings\accessibility and then choose answering/ending calls. You are good from there

Hi all,
Got the case today. Works perfectly with the app i mentioned in my previous post.
The sview is a great feature on the Note2 :thumbup:
Search Ebay for "note2 sview" and you will find tons of cases like this one.
I didnt find a magnet in the case though. Think thats only with s4 / note3

Were do you live? I live in Holland and there is no local store here that has a N7100 s-view case.
If there is a official Samsung n7100 s-view case then this would mean that the new update for our device would have some sort off s-view enabled option.

I live in India. No, there is no official S-View for the Note 2. So, there would be no such feature in the update.

Ive received mine. It fit perfectly on SG S2 with a 3200mah battery, I was affraid that it wouldnt fit but yea its nice. I didnt take much pictures with it yet, but I did 2 test.

Nah the ring don't cover the flash, when you use the lens, the lens will cover the flash a like.
The lens came with 2 ring, you might be able to reapply it if the glue didn't wear off when you remove it.

I'll take some pictures tonight. But the ring isn't removable, it stay there and the lens stick to it with a magnet. Fisheye and macro are the same lens.

Just bought a fisheye one Will try it out when it comes then maybe get the macro/wideangle
Heres the metal ring, it doesnt affect the flash if you use it without the lens.
Here the full lens which make it the wide angle one, flash wont work with it.
Here half of the lens which make it the macro one, still no flash, you need a good light source.

Yes most may not even know this exists, but I got my hands on one of these, needless to say I'm totally loving this.

The Tab clips on to the tab quite securely so you have a peace of mind there. It also has two step vertical inclinement steps to let you hold the tab in place while you use a hardware keyboard to make your typing easy. But what if you prefer laying your tablet at a lesser angle, closer to the surface? never mind this case has that covered as well, the back of the case has a pop out stand to allow you to do so.
It does how ever quite much to the weight (not sure how much) but doesn't seem to add much to the thickness. the tablet still feels great to handle.
Short review - I'd give a 8/10 for the whole experience, I'm also willing to answer any question that one may have regarding this case.

Honestly I'm not sure, I got it along with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 when I bought it - I was told it is the "Premium Cover" and it was free for everyone who bought it when they pre-booked it

No this was specifically made for Tab 10.1 - I was told it is only for people who prebook the device in this region. I'm not sure if they are selling the case separately.

You have the USA model. Rest of the world generally gets a Samsung on the front.

Yes it does add to the weight, but not a lot - at least for the official folio case, can't say the same for the Anymode case

I agree, but that rounded metal tab on the strap will concentrate some force on the same spot on the screen every time it happens to hit it...

Yeah, i would never get the white one though. Thing is i was thinking the other day that maybe i shouldve gone for the blue one. Reason? Blue would stand out more if you leave it on the settee and people would not accidentally sit on it. I wish someone did a case for motorola in like all metal or aluminium.
I bought this one yesterday shmotog as I really wanted the sleep/wake function but don't think the Motorola one would protect the phone if dropped whereas I know this one would as the same case protected my previous Samsung numerous times.......even being dropped on bathroom tiles!! Got it in that lovely sky blue colour which I love

that's really nice but the thing is, did you see in my video how i show the case i bought prior to the genuine one? it's exactly the one you've got. does the sleep wake work with yours? you said you bought it yesterday, if you bought it from ebay i guess you wouldnt have got it by now but if you have, could you confirm if it does indeed turn the screen on and off? the thing is even if the flap on the one that i had (which is what you bought) moved, the magnet didnt touch the magnet on the screen. hope it works out for you oh and those credit card slots, dont put your credit card in it, ive heard the magnet is not good for the cards. anyway like i said in the vid the magnetic flap didnt work which is one of the reasons why i went for the genuine one.
you're probably right about yours being more protective especially as yours has that hinge to close the flap. but i wont discount my case for that either as the magnet makes the case stick to the screen so it really gives the same result so i would say yours would protect the sides much more than this genuine case.

I was dubious too shmotog so I emailed the seller first about the sleep/wake function and he says it definately works :good:
I also read the reviews for the case on Amazon (see link below) just to be sure, see link to Amazon below where folks confirm that it does indeed sleep/wake the phone There is also a You tube video for you to watch which I've linked to below also.

that's cool cause i think one you getting turns into a stand as well cause the one i got earlier was exactly same as yours but didnt have that cut out at the back which turns it into a stand. so even though my old one and the one you getting look exactly same but i guess one you gettin is better made. :good:
Shmotog, As promised I've just popped back to confirm that I got my new case this morning and the sleep/wake function works perfectly :good:
It's great not having to press that flaming button on the side anymore !
Really pleased with it, good quality, great protection for the phone and most of all I've got my favourite sky blue colour back

I can confirm that the flip case did not protect my phone when it fell out of my pocket! The magnet was not strong enough to keep the flip closed as it fell. The result was a smashed screen with small pieces of glass everywhere.

sorry to hear that mate. seems like it fell on concrete or something. yeah a leather one wouldve given more protection in such a case. someone i know still uses nokia 3310 for this reason!
Looking at the poll, it appears no one seems to like the lime (yellow) coloured case. Had there been an aluminium or metal case I think it would have gone down real well, what do you guys think?

What is going on with it? I bought the Tab S3 last week and the Tab S4 this week, was going to return the S3 and keep the S4, but I like the S3 a lot and it really is great for reading textbooks and PDFs on, where if you try that on the S4 it would actually be smaller due to how much would have to be cut off to display the PDF. Anyways, back on topic, the new version of the SPen. To me it's worse in every way imaginable from last years.
Pros:
-fatter
Cons:
Everything else:
-The tip is rounder
-The materials feel cheaper
-The button is harder to find on it
-It looks a lot cheaper.
Luckily it functions the same, but I don't know why they went this route. Like their type cover this year, it just gives off a rushed vibe. Thankfully they're both EMR and as such can be used interchangeably. Though I wished both would include an eraser option. I have a really old Samsung alternative SPen for the Note Pro that does have the eraser on it and it still works as it should with all the apps that support it.
Personally I love this stylus. While I haven't used a S3 stylus for much (just testing in stores) I really do like this one.
Pros
- Roundness to it gives it a better feel to a real pen.
- Still EMR
- Light Weight (im sure the other ones are similar)
Cons
- Yes button is a little hard to find. Would of been nicer a little closer to the tip I'd think
- It looks cheap and a little rough around the mid section silver band

To be honest, I'll be a lot happier if Samsung provides the Bluetooth S-Pen here as well, and they'll charge when you attach it to the tablet side (placement like surface pens)...

If I remember the samsung press event, supposedly that bluetooth feature should work with ANY android device, not just Samsung. I think it was at the tail end of the S Pen features section. So, yes it should work, but the charging would be the only hurdle. Which you could be on to something. A lot of people would use this tablet in portrait mode and if it only requires 30seconds to charge the supercapacitor, then using the magnets near the pogo pin pads should do the trick.
If you want a clip on the pen, take a look at the Space Pen clip on Amazon. Fits perfectly.
I lost my pen New ones are £50. I feel this is a bit of a ripoff but may be down to no stock anywhere! Anyway does anyone know if the Notes s9 s pen works on the Tab S4. Can't find any details anywhere. Cheers

I am using my old Note 4 pen and seems all functions work fine, so would guess the Note 9 will also work
The Note 5 S pen works as well.

That is correct the S-Pen is powered by the electromagnetic grid beneath the display. However the SGTS4's S-Pen doesn't have bluetooth features like the Note 9.
The best I use so far, better than the iPad one
