Friends,
I am looking to buy an used incredible 2 through ebay. But i read reviews about low signal strength issue of inc2. I am from india and my carrier is gsm BSNL 900 mhz. I am getting 90 to 95 db in my house in my moto defy.
Is this work. Please suggest
Thanks and sorry for my English

It is definitely not the best phone for reception, but I have never really had issues with clarity. Even while taking this over seas and using different carriers.

My sister in law had the defy, it got slightly better signal, but the inc 2 should still work for you.

Hello,
I am so close to buy one of these beasts, i pretty much know the answer but I still want to make sure. Once i get the phone sim unlocked, can i make this phone work in another country? The GSM company uses 900 GSM / 2100 WCDMA (UMTS) in that country.
Am pretty sure it would especially born unlocked.. Best bet is to research the carrier you might be using in other country and look at the gsm. But am certain u can

I currently am in that country and there are 3 comps, however my old ****ty AT&T LG Neon manages to work on one of them which uses GSM 1800. So as long as i have the right frequencies i can say i am good to go?
You should. But try it since your there..it wouldn't hurt.. Am 90% certain.

Ok cool.. If you want more details just wiki it.. It shows you more info..

So I'm switching over from the T-Mobile G2x and I'm getting the Galaxy Nexus from the play store next week, and I wanna know how good is T-Mobile on this phone like the signal strength? Which HSPA+ do we get 21 or 42? Just wanna make sure it works with T-Mobile.

Oh it works and its only 21 but not like bit matters no one comes close and signal strength is crap in my house it struggles to get one bar where the s2 got two or three. But service is good nonetheless

I had a g2x. The nexus gets better service than it did across the board, but my SGS4G got a little better data speeds (its also a 21hspa+ device) whereas the nexus does better on cell service.

Have the nexus for about a week already on T-Mobile. Been around Connecticut all weekend, steady 3-4 bars. Havent lost service yet. Just as good if not better than the amaze

H is "4g". It should show 3g until its actually actively transferring data then switch to H.

I thought so never seen h before lol

couple days ago lost 3g and 4g...verizon sent a new card and like magic, its doing fine now...
is this common for this to happen, and why did it "go bad"
thanks

from barely getting 4g at the house to having 3 bars of 4g, with new card...weird or coincidence?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Sorry, this should be on general, there's no real question here, almost speculation after some point.
I.e. there might have been some incompatibility with the previous, who-knows-how-old simcard and your device.

Vzw invested in your area? Updated nodeb's software in the area? Replaced a few hardware parts? New chip/rom on the simcard?

Here's some news. Talked to a tech today for awhile resolving an account issue. During our conversation I asked about deployment plans. Here is the top five things they said they're doing:
1. Rolling out LTE upgrades to current 4g towers. Which may cause temporary service loss of data.
2. Upgrading all towers along the interstate system in their current footprint to hspa and to LTE in larger cities with 4g already deployed.
3. LTE will roll out in large cities with 4g first that have completed upgrades.
4. Metropcs lte towers may be given greenlight for us to roam on until the switchover (which is contrary to previous statements)
5. Acquire more 1900mhz and AWS spectrum for more buildouts of hspa and LTE.
They're also looking at possibly doing unlimited data with tether soon. But no word on pricing or availability.

does that mean I can use unlock AT&T phone with T-mobiles LTE contract OR any unlock LTE phone?

Im here at the one of the tmobile store in california. A regional manager is here today at the store. I ask him if our note 2 will need any update to use the new lte services when it out. He said no! He told me there actually installing lte towers right now in la and oc county! No wonder my service is been off and on today! Just did a speedtest and wow its getting faster and faster! !!

Same here in San Jose CA. I assumed its due to towers being upgraded. Download speeds have gone down but upload has gone up slightly. I was a bit concerned but I figured its due to some upgrades their doing. Hope my download speeds picks back up.

If the phone can support Band 4 LTE (which I do not think AT&T uses for their LTE), it can support it.
These threads seem silly, because what tech and care know is far from the truth. Also to whoever thinks that you don't need a update for lte, you are most certainly wrong. We just got LTE installed on the towers on our building and it is not working on my note. But other notes in the building we have for testing have LTE up and running just fine. Unfortunately these notes were sent already put together, so whether it was a update or a sim card is hard to tell because I haven't got hands on time alone with them yet. Another possible solution is a provision, through one of tmobiles systems for troubleshooting I have seen lte settings for a phone line specifically but wouldn't have the information to properly set it up.

Have experienced crap downloads but in South Phoenix where I live im 5 miles away from the nearest TMO advertised tower (and coming from cricket, its still fast in my mind) but this past few weeks I have experienced better speeds but more intiguing is my connectivity has gone haywire at times resulting in excessive batter consumption (periodically)... hoping this is LTE configs at work but its all a waiting game at this point

Repair/Reset still same thing. I guess I have to contact Sony now
I think that depends on ur area
I live in NYC and my signal is very good
yeah im having the same problem..using my note 2 i get great signal in my area..even with wifi..when using the zl i get less signal on wifi and picking up lte signal is not good compared to note 2..and most areas i get one less bar compared to note 2.
Absolutely no signal issues here.

Only when the phone trying to pick up LTE then I got none, 1 bar or two at the most. I have no problem picking up LTC with iphone 5 or Xperia Ion.
What carrier? Check apn.
Sent from my C6506 using xda premium
AT&T > never have problem with Ion, Iphone 5 or others on LTE. APN set for AT&T
Try this and see what you have.
