For the past few i have not had any data connection phone works fine but no data im in New York anyone else have same trouble im also on AOKP MR1 build 6 thanks for any help
When did the problem occur? Did it randomly just start happening or was it after a flash?
Thanks for the concere but i just switched roms and its all good dont know what happened it must have been the rom i was on AOKP build 6 i just switched to CM 10.1 and i get it all now 3G 4G and even my voicemails poped back in crazy .........

I recently rooted my Evo and put CM7 nightly 12 on it. All was well, I even installed the Savaged Zen kernel. Even better. Just yesterday I updated to CM7 RC2 to give it a shot. Today I went to work and had to drive to a remote area where I don't get service, so I put my Evo in airplane mode to save battery life. (this was after having it overheat while charging, could be a hardware issue) At the end of the day I turned the 3G radio back on and nothing... It connects and disconnects to the tower. It will not send data and it will not place phone calls on the 3G connection (WiFi works). I did a restore back to nightly 12 to see if maybe it was a problem with the OS. Nothing. A few hours ago it began functioning again, but after checking it a few minutes ago I have discovered it is back to no connection. (the signal bars bounce between nothing and full, but never shows the X for no signal) Has anyone else had an issue like this? Should I restore back to sense and unroot to take advantage of my warranty? If this has already been posted before please direct me to the right thread.
I'm having the same problem. I installed Cyanogen RC 2 and had no problem since it came out. I went on vacation to a beach, and during my trip I switched it on to airplane mode since I was in a remote location. After turning it back on, I noticed I can't get the Data Connection to work. The 3g bar doesn't even show up, and after messing with the settings trying to fix the problem I managed to do nothing. I tried using a backup I made from a week past, and encountered the same problem. Then I flashed the newest nightly and still no Data whatsoever. Wifi works fine, and 4g is acting weird but I got it to work a few times. Does this have something to do with sprint?
I think it is the same as the 4G 3G hang. I typically get it while tethering and the phone is normaly quite warm.
So I managed to fix the problem. I ended up flashing Koni's Elite Rom

I got an error that said "Error 67 registration failure"
I updated my profile and it was automatically fixed. I'm not aware you can do this on cyanogen stock rom, but I think you can dial a number that will do this for you.
After getting the 3g to work again, I flashed back to the stock cyanogen, and it is still working. So for now im good to go.
I do think is sprint and not the rom because I did a restore to warm z and was still having the same problems. Also my brother's evo was doing the same thing and he doesnt have cm7 on it.
I figured it was something to do with the profile... I restored all the way back to sense and attempted to update profile, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I will try that ROM and see if it does anything. Why can't they just make this easy and allow updating of vital software that allows the radios to work on WiFi or from SDcard? This is dumb.
I tried that ROM and nothing works. Not really sure what to do. I might have to restore to Sense and unroot to take it back... I really want to avoid that if at all possible.
Unrooted my phone and getting a free replacement from Sprint. Still unsure of the problem, seems to work randomly.

I also have the same problem. No 3g data, gps, and 4g is acting weird.
I also had the same registration error number 67. My question is, how do you update your profile?
iv been on CM 7 or using Decks version of CM 7 also tried 7.1
using the stock CM kernel or salvage zen
using the newest radio pri prl .. etc
i have been getting 1 bar 3g but more often now i have been seeing a lot of 1x signal .. the other three phones in my house are all EVO's and seen to have an alright signal (note mine is the only rooted one)
is there anything i can do to get a better 3g signal ... 4g works just fine
im going to attempt to flash to a sense rom to update the profile to see if that helps .. is there any way to update the profile on the CM rom as well?
i had the same problems a few days ago so i unrooted brought into sprint they flashed new software and claimed i had to get a new phone. when i got home 4g and 3g worked despite what they said. you could try that if your desperate.
i did unroot the device and bring it to sprint .. the CSR there udateed all software and the 3g worked .. brought it home rooted it again .. still worked ... i flashed to the CM7.1 rom now its usually on 1x and randomy gets 3g .. Seems like its happening on CM7 - CM7.1 and the last 2 Deck roms .. all of which are Senseless roms .. radio is all up to date and all .. any other ideas??
i hope you did a nandroid back as soon as you got into recovery before flashing cm7. cause if not you may end up with the same problem again, having to bring it in.

I got my evo 4g 2 days ago.I use pageplus for my provider. I had to flash the evo to get it to work. Everything went great. On any gingerbread rom everything works. I have tried every ics rom and everything works great except i only get 1x data.I'm not sure if it is an apn issue, but i dont know how to change the apn in ics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know now its not the APN. I didn't realize that had to do with mms and that part works great. Weird thing is i can flash back to any gb rom and i get 3g again. I understand it might not be true 3g but you can tell a huge difference from the 1x i am getting on any ics rom. Does anyone have any ideas what i can do to get the 3g working on the ics roms?
have you tried rebooting 1 or 2 times after the ics flashes? usually that clears up a lot of problems people have when flashing the ics roms. i personally have never had this issue and have always been on sprint so i can't really help you but figured id throw this at you
edit: also what ics rom have you flashed because im running the team D.I.R.T. cm9 port and its simply flawless so far
Thanks for the advice. I have rebooted many times, no luck. I tried every ics rom i found in here. Everyone drops my data to 1x. As soon as i flash a gb rom i get 3g back. Is there a setting i need to find or a way to force it back to 3g?
in miui i think there is a setting to force 3g but i think thats the only rom that does it. gb or ics. so im not really sure about straight ics. sorry
I've been using avatar rom weeklies for a while and never had an issue, but i recently went straight to CM 10.2 and now Im losing cell signal. It's not that I dont have as many 'bars' as before, it looks like the cellphone radio just dies. It's resolved by rebooting but I am having to do this 3-4x a day. I can't seem to find anything about this being a known issue with google. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks.
I've searched for a solution to this and not found a clear answer. I apologize if I missed something obvious.
I loaded CyanogenMod 11 (cm-11-20131126-unofficial-t0lte) on my AT&T Galaxy Note 2 (I317) last week. No problems with the install. The first time I was away from wi-fi I noticed it would drop the data connection. Didn't do this prior to the install. I was last using JediX19 (with no data connection drops, but the phone would occasionally shut itself down). Looking for a solution, I found a similar problem someone was having with T-Mobile and making a phone call resets the data connection. I've been loading the nightlies as they come out and they all work fine, but the phone still drops the data connection regularly.
My questions are: should my AT&T phone work with the t0lte version? Do I need to go back to CM10.1 or 10.2? Could I keep using CM11 if I update my radio? If so, which version do I want to choose?
