You'd try ViperINC 1.3.1 and select cdma/gsm in aeroma!

Thank you to everyone on xda who helped make this happen! Here in the southwest I was able to make a fully functional Droid Incredible with this method.

sure thing, here it is attached, use apn back up and restore from market
Cricket MMS is laggy and unreliable.
Even SMS on Cricket sometimes takes between 10 minutes and 2 hours.
The proxy goes down sometimes (your internet access if you don't have the Cricket plan).
But for the price, it's pretty damn good service.
I've tried 3 different sets of APNs, including ones I wrote myself. They all work just as intermittently. For the life of me, I (verizon) can't send pictures to my woman (cricket) but she can send/receive pictures from most other people.
I still don't understand it all, but I don't put any faith in MMS.
you can also try tokens419 exclusive stock 2.2 cricket rom with all the settings baked in , its a good rom, it worked perfect but i kinda got in the wild and wanted to try something else, but if you want everything to work and if you are on cricket using htc incredible and you want the latest official stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=791917
I guess I was too excited to realize that picture sms doesn't work.
Error: Unable to send message / generic network failure.
It doesn't bother me considering a full quality/resolution picture taken with the incredible doesn't fit in sms. What's the point of sms if most people have internet on their phone?

I just pieced together a bunch of different methods to get different parts working. There were a lot for the hero or the eris that I used. I just had to do it again today because my buddy did a factory reset on his phone haha.

Hey.. Since you got it working can you help summarize what I need to do. There is a lot here is a lot to sort through here and I'm a little confused does the phone needs to be rooted?

Why is it GSM roms cannot be converted to work with CDMA R800x? Can a DEV answer?

OK, I have had my R800x since last August and I love this phone. My last two phones were the Motorola Milestone and Motorola Droid 2 Global (never buying a Moto again, hate them and their locked tight BL)
Anyway, my question is why is it that someone cant just make a CDMA patch that would work with either all or select GSM Roms? Maybe make a patch and apply that as an update.zip to after flashing a GSM rom to the r800x and have it work? Can someone shed some light on this as to why this has happend or been suggested? I am sure that I am not the only one to ask this question........thoughts?
Think it's something to do with the radio.
Actually reminds me of region locking on DVDs :s

So there is no way to make a patch that would just over write the radio to work with CDMA Verizon?
I have seen some older android phones where they were able to flash a cdma patch to make GSM roms work on the CDMA variants of the phone..... why cant this be done here?
I have no idea how it works. Probably better asking a dev to be honest.
There may be a workaround but I can't be certain

There are select GSM ROMs that work (or somewhat work)
GSM to CDMA Patches do exist, and work most of the time.
2.3.3 GSM ROMs (that are below 4.0.x.x firmware) can be easily ported to CDMA
CM9 and AOKP have been ported to CDMA from the GSM variants.
The Sony ICS Beta has been ported to CDMA, with various results.

3G not working in Vietnam

Hi, I am using Incredible 2 in Vietnam. When I updated from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 and rooted my phone, now 3G is unstable and I can only use Edge, is there any suggestion to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

I'm using Viettel Mobile
When choose UTMS & GSM, if I chose UTMS dual, 3G is unstable, it is only stable on GSM only.
For what its worth, I'm using Aerovan's latest CM9 with Mobifone and have Edge+HSPA using the network mode "GSM/WCDMA preferred"
I've been using Aerovan CM9 this whole summer in VN without much trouble. Hope this helps!

Okay so we decided to try our skills at porting and this is what I have currently.
We're not trying to step on Aeroevans toes by any means. I have nothing but respect for him.
This is just our first port so we thought we'd try something easy.
Special thanks to (not all are members of the team) but deserve credit anyway :
CyanogenMod
Aeroevan
LiquidSmokex64
Nitsuj17
This rom will evolve as our skills increase and more ports are in the making.
As a priority we always try to have GSM working for you non-Verizon customers and will be noted as if working.
Ports are from Galaxy Nexus (toro) unless otherwise stated. You may PM me requesting a port and I will see what I can do for you.
And without further delay here's the link

Yep. That's correct:good:
Thanks DKStunna108 for the GSM love. Would it be possible to build a ROM that supported both GSM and CDMA? For those of us that travel internationally on GSM and then run CDMA at home. I have yet to find any other ICS based rom for the vivow that supports GSM properly...but I also need to run on Verizon when in the states.

Hear, hear! In exactly the same situation myself...
Actually, I just noticed that 3G HSDPA doesn't seem to be working on this ROM. "Mobile network type" is listed as "HSDPA:9" however "Mobile network type" shows "Disconnected". It never shows "Connecting" though I have confirmed that mobile data is turned on.

Paranoid Android (CM10) diagnostic mode?

I flashed the latest Paranoid Android to my E4GT which I'm very pleased with; However, my 3G connection comes in and out. I would like to view the CDMA settings to track down any problems using CDMA Workshop or QPST as I did to originally flash the phone to Cricket Wireless but none of the usual dialer codes work?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris
