Lol. No big deal. It's not like that 1-2% is actually useful for anything. The battery in this thing never dies. I tried really hard yesterday - 4 hours screen time and the gauge was still at 50%, outstanding.

Yep, I guess everyone has this
Send from my GNote 2 what else...
Li ion batteries calibrate themselves, and I think one of the variables that helps compute the battery percentage can change upon restart. Hence the amount of juice in the battery is unaffected, but the calculated percentage may change. This is also why you can sometimes see a sudden drop by three percent, but it can stay at a random percentage for a longer stretch of time.

Hey guys.
Seen this thread and wanted to ask.
I have a 7 day old GT-N7105T and I've charged it right, ya know the first charge to 1% ect and have given a few good full charges.
Now, I'd assume after even one or two charges I should still get a feel for the battery capacity, I'm a week in and I'd say my galaxy nexus lasted longer or the same. I thought it would be a lot better.
Maybe I'm judging too soon but I don't think so. I may have a bad battery.
Right now I'm on 13hr stand by, 30mins calls, 2hr screen time and I'm down to 53%?
Is this normal?
Thanks guys. Just want a second opinion. My friend has one and he easy gets 5hrs screen time and still has juice while having everything on and doing normal stuff. I've turned off everything. All I have is weather every hour and email every hour. That's it basically. I've even turned off all motion and google search and s-voice just to see what the go is.
Thanks in advance guys.

You need to drain the battery down to 0% firstly, than while its off charge it for 4 hours without using it at all, phone calls if needed but preferred not to. just do what i did and drain it till night and charge it till morning, good as new!

Hi, I have read here that some are doing this. What would be the effect of this on the battery life, as it usually takes only about 3 hours to charge to full. Thanks
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
There's no effect, it's fine. The phone knows when to stop charging.
agreed - I've been doing this with my phone every night since the G1 days with no problems

the charging micro will turn off supply to the battery when it is 'charged' so nothing to worry about at all
Yeah when the phone gets to 100% it will disconnect until 98% then start charging again.

I think this is a base android feature, even my TF101 tablet does this when it's on the dock. It'll discharge until about 96% then start re-charging.
i was checking the battery usage, when i see that the SO ANDROID, is the only usage that was register, I dont know if is a bug, or what happened
I want to know if someone else had this problem?
its normal?
any suggestions?
I've seen it in one of the new 4.1.2 information threads...It is a bug and the one who had it also had a reduced battery life... its your case also?

My note (for awhile now) has been getting disgusting battery life. When i 1st got the phone i was getting awesome battery life. But for a few months now i have now (the battery life in the picture is what i normally get)
I know its not the rom as i have tried Clean Rom 5.0 which is 4.1.2. Ive tried Illusion 4.2.2 and now im on BeanStalk 4.3
All the roms give me the same battery life.
Here in the picture my phone was literately in my pocket the whole time. pretty much 0% usage from me.
is there anyway to see what in the "Android OS" is using so much battery?
Of course ...the subject of battery life is highly subjective ...but I'll have a go at it...
Given the statement that your battery life remains virtually the same across multiple platforms ...it leads me to believe the device itself may have an issue ...in particular the battery...
Are you using the original OEM battery ?? If yes ...it may be nearing end of life..or could suffer from cell damage for some reason...
First I'd try a replacement and test your battery life then...
But remember ...any true test needs a benchmark ...so choose a stock or near stock rom that we know about regarding performance etc...
Next ...eliminate any applications that are not absolutely necessary to use your phone ...and avoid Widgets along with live wallpapers...
Then....verify that you are in a good coverage area to the extent possible ...as the phone will "hunt" for signal and consume more power...
All things considered ...the battery is still the likely suspect...
I use a zero lemon battery ...since my stock battery just couldn't keep up any more ...and suffered greatly after about 5 months of heavy abuse by my flashing addiction...
Leave a good stock rom running for at least a week to stabilize the OS...and if battery life suffers ...replace it with a new one ...
Sorry that my reply is not more definative ...but battery drain issues are hard to diagnose without holding the phone in my hand....g

Os is definitely eating away. Download wakelock detector from the play store. Go into settings check advanced so u can see system wakelocks not just downloaded apps. Report back with a screen shot of the Wakelock detector tomorrow and I'm sure someone here can guide u in the right direction.....as long as it's not the battery. To me it just looks like u have a VERY nasty wakelock somewhere.
Just my opinion though

First thing when u open the app.... ur seeing apps and on the right is the awake time for each one. As long as u have advanced options checked in settings it will show what is keeping ur cpu awake. So as soon a as u open the app. Take a SS so we can see the system processes and the time awake for them. Just as soon as ur apps come up. Take a SS and post it

Ok. Ya. Usually my system processes are on top. Most awake time is Google services. That's how mine was. Except mine was awake for almost an hour and a half per charge cycle and wasnt even draining that bad. Try turning off Google services in location services in system settings for a day and see if battery life improves at all

Ahhh. Now that makes sense. Damn facebook. I believe that is how many times the app woke up ur phone. And the total time is the bar there. That'll do it. Won't deep sleep if it's been woken up 717x in one charge cycle. WOW! I don't have a Facebook so unfortunately that's the extent of my knowledge here. I apologize. But someone has to know. I would not advise that as the battery may get heated up and if there are fluctuations it may damage your charger but if it is very necessary you can do it on your own risk as I have done it once!

From galaxy grand 4.2.2 firmware..
Switch off your device & then connect it to charger.
It will not harm your device although when phone is in switch off mode it will not allow excessive power, so effective to your battery life too
