I realize this is a forum for a completely different phone, but as there isn't one for the Ace IIx, I was wondering if there are any custom ROMs for this phone. Or for that matter, any developers. I was specifically looking to get CyanogenMod on here, or Jelly Bean, as I don't predict this phone will get an update anytime soon.

Odp: Galaxy Ace IIx: Any Custom ROMs or Devs?
How many people have that phone? 5 ? on the world?...
Sent from my Ace 2 using xda premium
With ICS sources you can build CM 9. 10.1 too if you're good.
So far, no one from Ace II has tried building CM. As for custom roms, if you have your phone's system.img.md5 then I think we can make a debloated rom or even with a few other features.
Kernel dev would be Hafiz. You should know that if you want help for a kernel, you should be willing to test it. No worries, it wont brick.

Whoops, accidentally thanked you. Though I guess you could interpret that as agreeing with your sarcasm.
Considering any phone with "M" at the end of its model number is Canadian... we are the only ones with this phone, and apparently 90% of the world is unwilling to even learn how to use technology, so...
Why do we always get ripped off? They don't even have the decency to give us a phone on equal footing with the rest of the freaking world. Gah.

CM9 sources... and a device tree. I think I could try building a ROM with one of the guides floating around on the Internet, but a device tree? Got no clue.
As for the custom ROM that's not CM and kernel, are you saying some Ace II devs would be willing to help? Our devices are so different though.

Maybr they will. If they are not busy and since they're building blind, you who own the phone should be willing to test (or make the sacrifice)

Of course some of us would test. I do have a backup phone, but it is a far worse phone than this one (ironically it now has CM10.1 on it, though it's not as fast as CM7.2 was). Would simply popping in my SIM to my old phone restore its functionality if it's still locked to the same carrier?

I know that there are custom rom..but these are not stable , these have a lot of bugs..
I know thus has been asked many a times but is there a flashable zip file for multiwindows in SGH-T999 ? If not can someone make it. There is one for international S3 but was cautioned not be used for other variants.

I'll just do a quick search and post it, but if you do a search in international S3 forums it would show up

We do have multiwindow roms right ? But they have a lot of features that some of us don't use.. they may be vital for some. But a flashable zip for a stock would be so awesome

The description says that you have to have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100, just wondering if it works for my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T889. Im going to attempt to root my phone for the first time (or for ANY phone EVER for that matter) and would like to try this one out since it's the closest to the stock phone. Also, I seen alot of roms don't support the s-pen or true multitasking so this would help tremendously.

No it won't work for the T899. If you're looking for something close to stock, try Jedi Master which includes wifi-calling. If not having wifi-calling isn't a problem then I suggest Jedi X. Best way to find out what is best for you though it's to flash ROMs and try it out

Have you tried boot manager from the play store?
No i havent tried anything yet lol. I like to learn b4 i experiment. But i know nothing about dual booting i just came across something online for it and wanted to try.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I would check to see if boot manager supports the S3...theres a lite version you can test to see if it works
The way it works is that it installs one to /system and the other on your sd...then it just alternates between the two when you wanna boot into the other
But yeah, i came across this too and couldnt get it to work on my Shift
Hopefully it works on the S3, i havent checked yet though so you can give it a shot by just downloading the app :good:
The post i read said on the s3 u can dual boot 2 similar roms like m.o.a.r and t.p.r. for example. So my question is would i be able to use features from each rom at the same time?

No, it would be like dualbooting on a computer...you're either logged into one or the other, theres no overlap

Given the hardware we have, what new features do you think the S3 developers here at XDA will be able to port to our device?
I just flash roms and use them. I dont get into the deep end when it comes to our device so im not sure what this bad boy is packing as far as hardware, nor the S4s...but hopefully they are similar so that we can get some of those features. Post what you think will be implemented to our device....and maybe give us your opinion on when you think well begin seeing some of those things.

Where are the S4's software features? I don't see them on the Dev board.
I've been messing with trying to port the 4.2.2 TW fit about an hour but without a 4.2.2 TW kernel, won't get too far.

From the source code for 4.2.2, is that the S4's total software enchantments with respect to the S3? So Dual Cameras are possible along with S-Health and whatever?

This might be dumb but since there is no 4.2.2 tw kernel couldn't you make the base of the rom off of cyanogenmod or some other aosp rom then lay all the touchwiz things over it? Almost like how jellybam was.

it should be as simple as taking the framework and apps folders (merge them) and do some lib mix and matching to get it booting.
we might need to do some smali hacks though to enable/disable certain device flags.

When a leak of the snapdragon version will be available i think that our devs can port the whole rom to S3.
Anyway also with the actual exynos dump we can expect some surprises.

Glad to see yall on the s3! I used to have an amaze!!!
Back when I had my sensation there are tweaks to make the camera a lot better and there was a port for the amaze camera for the sensation.
Maybe there is a way to port the s4 camera on the s3.
