This is a system dump, don't try flashing this.
^^^What he said ^^^
I was pretty tired when I posted it and forgot to mention that it's for devs to build ROM from.
Can't wait! Thanks Loki!
downloading now to play around with. Will see if I can get a flashable rom off of it. A few have tried already to no avail though.

Just use these. Your phone will upgrade to it anyway. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536636
But I think for your purpose, use LGNPST with the zvc bin. You'll find the link to the bin in the root guide.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. The stock rooted ZVC is what I'm already running (flashed from CWM with an unlocked bootloader). There's a bug where you try to charge when the phone is completely turned off, the screen turns on draining battery and preventing you from charging at full speed. I understand this could be fixed by a) flashing an AOSP-based ROM or b) if you want to use stock rooted, stick with the original bootloader/recovery. So, I'm trying to figure out if I can just flash boot.img and recovery.img on top of the stock rooted ZVC, and get the charging to work properly.
I found what I thought I needed in shelnutt's files-- he has the Sprint backup img's. But when I dd'd them over, my phone won't boot now. So I will probably have to LGNPST the whole zvc bin and start over. Oh well.

You can root your phone, but you can't flash ANY ROM unless you unlock the booloader/recovery.
If restoring FreeGee unlock didn't work for you then you need to use LGNPST to get stock recovery back. It should also fix your charging issue.

Flashed the whole ZVC bin with LGNPST, rerooted and got what I wanted. I didn't lose data or have to start from scratch like I was afraid of, and it's easy enough to unlock with freegee if I ever want to flash roms again in the future. Thanks for your help/encouragement.

Hey guys, I'm trying to make a Stock Debloated Rom, but I cannot figure out the updater-scripts.
I will explain what I did and please inform me if I did something wrong or if you have some helpful info.
I downloaded the stock 4.2.2 MDL stock .tar posted in the dev section. (Odin to stock).
I flashed in Odin to stock.
Rooted, installed CWM and made a backup.
Moved the backup to my pc.
Grabbed the .tar.a file (deleted the"a") and used it in dsixda's Android Kitchen.
I got a "working" folder.
Went in to system/app and deleted all "bloat".
Here's where the problems start.
I try to create the rom, it asks to Zipalign and every time I try, the zipalign fails.
So I skip that.
I sign the rom, then it generates the .zip.
Then it gives me an error saying "Error, no system/framework found!"
Do I get that from somewhere else, or us the kitchen supposed to make one?
It still makes the output .zip so I try it out.
Whenever I try to flash in TWRP I get updater-scripts errors.
I dont know why, but the update-script/updater-script the Kitchen generates ends in error.
Did I do something wrong?
Am I missing something?
Please, any info would help.
This is getting pretty stressful and ive been at it for about a week now and still cant figure it out.
Shoot me a reply or even a PM.
Thanks.

Update your kitchen. Dsixda's android kitchen 0.224 is an updated version to handle the updater script. There is a difference between the s3 update script and s4 updater script. The new kitchen handles that for you rather easily. Just keep selecting the default selections if building in interactive mode.
Hope I helped. I had the same problem. 0.222 isn't setup for our phone. I just deleted the old kitchen folder and placed the new one in its place

Okay, just converted the .tar into a working folder.
When the folder is made, it just says "error: no system/framework found". Do I need to pull that from somewhere else?
But it still makes the working folder.
I made it into a flashable zip, gonna flash now through CWM and see what happens.

So yesterday I traded my Nexus 7 tablet for a LG Optimus G. I rooted it, unlocked bootloader using a .jar software the trader provided me. Everything went well, but since I have no internet on my old Dell running XP, I had to use other means to flash TWRP recovery. Something didn't go right and my phone was bricked. So the guy I traded with was nice enough to come all the way back to me, and give me a KDZ file he found on the internet to restore it using the KDZ Firmware Update from LG. Took me a while to work it but it fixed my phone, only issue now is the software version in Software Information is now E97310f and won't let me update. It used to be LS970 so on ZVB. All my Sprint apps are missing, each time I restart the phone it says Unfortunately software update has stopped. In general, I'm guessing this was not for a Sprint LGOG.
Any ideas on how I can return it back to normal? I plan on connecting it with Sprint and want it to have their crappy bloatware.

Nothing there could really help me. And now that I'm considered a E973, drivers are a whole different story, fastboot mode seems to no longer exist, all I can do is get into some sort of useless recovery mode. This is a nightmare. This stock version is bad in performance. I feel like the device is clocked at 1.2 instead of its meant to be 1.5. What the heck am I to do?

I'm going with that, but I have never used the LGNPST so I'm a bit stuck. I downloaded a .bin from there, grabbed the LGNPST software from a different site, and now I'm trying to figure out how to combine the two. And the recovery screen isn't like the regular "use the volume and power button" recovery, its just a white window with a two arrows making a circle type recovery that they call "Recovery Mode" and has no particular function other than to hold power for 8 seconds to reboot normally.
Okay so I figured out how to use LGNPST but I seemed to have flashed some other type of incorrect object. The bin I used made my LGOG boot up with the same fast boot and TWRP recovery as my Nexus 7 had. Aka the boot is now Google with the unlocked symbol beneath. Now when I try to flash the old incorrect KDZ file from the E97310f, no good. So my problem went from OK to just plain worse. I'm looking to find the correct teenybin necessary in order to then try to flash the ZV8's ZDK file. Now my device is really bricked with a TWRP and a locked boot loader. Isn't that sweet (sarcastically)
Sent from my LG-LS670 using xda app-developers app
Also forgot to mention each time I use LGNPST the device boots at 67% leaving the rest incomplete, then shoots up to 85%. Perhaps its why the KDZ no longer works. I'm guessing using LGNPST was bad from the beginning. Should've stuck to finding the original KDZ instead.

That's just what lgnpst does. You should not be using a kdz. You should be using either zv9.bin or zvb.bin. if you're going to use Sprint. The bins are in the same place I led you to for lgnpst.

Well you were quite right in a way! Thanks! This will sound crazy, but I used the LGNPST to flash the alternative LS970 bin provided. It gave the fast boot mode, Google boot, and TWRP 2.5, unlike the last one I mentioned that wouldn't let me use the ZDK file. So what I did was I tried pulling the same trick used to push a zip file to my Nexus 7 when I accidentally wiped everything. It was a bit of a crazy stunt, but I used the Nexus 7 Toolkit 5 to push a custom ROM I downloaded here on XDA thru TWRP. I had tried before on the last bin I flashed and no good. Tried again and it actually pushed the file. From there I used TWRP to install the zip and well here I am writing this from my new ROM. The info shows LS970. The XDA app as well as you can see below. Had to reroot it using the ZV9/ZVB Universal Root as GIAO would said my device is unsupported. Not quite sure if the boot loader is unlocked though. I'll probably stop messing with this thing here before I make it any worse. Thanks alot
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
GAIO is outdated, but a least you're rooted. And unlocked too if you were able to flash a ROM. It sounds like you used a teeny bin to get going. Not zv9 or zvb.bin. You should be good to go.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Yeah it was all working perfectly, until yesterday where I turned it off last night as I've done each night since fixed, but this morning, no boot. Now no matter how many different roms I try to flash from it's SD card, or which different teenybin I flash, it won't fix the situation. Im guessing it's a security issue, although I did nothing really to provoke it. Any idea how to fix it or completely format everything including TWRP and the fastboot altogether?
Sent from my LG-LS670 using xda app-developers app
Actually, never mind...the thing randomly decided to boot after deleting some files thru TEEPee. Coincidence is that yesterday I downloaded FreeGee, it didn't detect my device as a LS970, and it left behind a file. When I recalled that thought and deleted the file, ta da. Works fine....
Sent from my LG-LS670 using xda app-developers app
Hi there, yesterday I was trying to flash carbon onto my E980 and it kept saying it failed, so I re-read the installation guide and it had said to wipe everything from the phone and i guess my stupidity struck... I decided that I should wipe clean my phone, data and all.. Originally I had a backup of the stock rom just rooted and i forgot to transfer that to my external. SOOO now I'm kinda stuck with no OS and unable to flash any roms.. I was wondering if anyone out there had a TWRP backup of their stock ROM that I could potentially restore through the Recovery. I tried using the LG Flashtool to try and flash the stock ROM back on but all it did was stay at Ready!! even after I plugged in my phone.
Keep trying with the flash tool. Sometimes you need to unplug the phone a couple of times. Sometimes once. This will be you best option.

Question though, am I supposed to get the LG USB/Parallel Lock Key is not detected error when i try to load up the LG flashtool 1.5?
When you extract LGFlashtools there should be two dll files. change the name of the csmg_reg_key.dll to csmg_reg_key.bak
When I did that, I was able to use the megalock.dll that loads the tool. Also don't forget to change the date to prior of August 2012 and be off the internet. Follow the instructions provided in the OP of the LGFlashtool link. I didn't provide it here because I assume you do have it or we wouldn't be doing this.
Ok ill try it again after I get off work, hopefully I can get it back to stock

Did you extract the dll from this link to that folder?

Okay so I extracted everything in the LG Flashtool rar file into my C:\LG\LGFlashTool folder along with whatever installed from the setup file, i got it to load without giving me the usb error and what not. Now I tried to flash it again, but it just stays at Ready!! and nothing else.... I've even let it sit for a long time in hopes for it to pick up the phones plugged in and start flashing but nothing at all. Am I doomed with no way to go back to stock? Not gonna lie... even though I finally got the phone to flash to CyanogenMod 10.2, i still miss the stock features of the phone.
You might need to unplug and plug the phone in, wait for a few seconds, and If that doesn't work, do it again. Sometimes several times. Make sure you have the drivers installed and you change the the date. You're getting closer.

Hello all,
This is my first post here but I will do my best to give as much detail so that you can help me with ease.
Sooo, I have an LS970 and I attempted to flash the ROM and well.... I messed up and (for some dumb reason) didn't make a backup. So I'm stuck at the LG logo. I can't get into recovery mode or anything except Download Mode.
Soooo, I tried using LGNPST as described in the following thread: [REPAIR] TeenyBin for LS970 - Soft Brick Fix. B/L Unlock. RPM/TZ Update {08/21/13}
But the download links for the TeenyBin wouldn't work. So I just downloaded the stock .bin files.
Now, I tried running LGNPST and getting to it recognize my phone and nothing shows up.
I have registered the .dll files, I have installed LGNPST through This thread here
Any suggestions? I really like my LS970 and hate being stuck with a damned iPhone....

I am using the Sprint LS970 ZV9 Stock .bin file provided at pastebin.com/0KK0QynV
I tried using IRC but couldn't get anything rolling.

You can find links to the bin files in the root guide, and the irc.
Your problem is probably the radio/modem. ZV9 radio only works on ZV9 Roms. You have JB. If you had recovery you could just flash the radio.

Another option is to hope on the irc, there is an autoinstall of LGNPST
You might need to uninstall and reinstall drivers and LGNPST.
Which .bin are you using? Use zvb, or zvc.

So what .bin file should I use? and I finally got LGNPST to recognize my phone. So I just want your suggestion on what .bin file to use before I give this thing a whirl.
