CID : VODA120
HBOOT: 0.43
Radio: 1.1204.90.13
I think, according to my experience I can format and install new custom rom of JB
i have backup via recovery 5.8 then i format system
when try to install boot.img and try to install rom via recovery and restart i have boot freeze on splash HTC animation
Q: what the best why to install custom rom of JB
kind regards
You need to update your hboot first...
DL this firmware: http://goo.gl/CdHgD Place it in your fastboot folder
Then make sure you have the original Unlock_code.bin in handy because you're gonna need it.
1. fastboot oem lock
2. fastboot oem rebootRUU
3. fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
4. fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
Then flash the recovery of your choice and you're good to go
ok that help me !! thanks alot im now on new custom rom !!!
Nice! Enjoy

I have just tried to do a restore from a backed up rom using recovery and it wont go past the HTC logo screen.
I have wiped all settings but still no luck
Help needed please
Go into bootloader mode (vol down + power), fastboot, type 'fastboot erase cache' 'fastboot reboot-bootloader', and then reboot.

So you have re-locked the bootloader and have a stock recovery right? Try erasing the cache in fastboot.
I think the command is "fastboot erase cache" but I'm not 100% sure on the command.
NVM, UnlockedNand has got this one.
Cheers guys
just tried it and no go sorry
My bootloader is unlocked
Flash a new boot.img according to the rom you are flashing. Superwipe, and then flash the rom.

just flashed 2.6.39.4 kernel and all is good
Thanks! It worked!

This is the exact solution which worked. I was stuck after I unlocked my Sprint HTC Evo 3D via htcdev.com. I did these steps:
1. "fastboot flash boot boot.img" (extracted from Cool ICS rom)
2. Wiped everything including partitions using 4EXT
3. Installed Cool ICS rom
Thanks!!!
tried flashing jb hd revolution rom and now stuck here.
force restart takes me here and hold vol down does nothing?

You cant flash any JB rom because your hboot do not support them. Only the aosp roms probably work like CM10. I suggest you update your hboot first to JB
Do the fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
Fastboot oem readcid
Post them back and i provide 2 options to update the hboot

You can do this :
Download this file
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
It will reboot and there will be some warning sign in the bootloader, keep it there and execute the RUU from the PC with admin rights. Click the ruu.exe with the right mousebutton and select
Run as admin (or similar command)
Note : this will flash the phone to full stock. After the ruu you boot into the phone and check manually for updates to JB !
Second option :
Go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
Download the firmware package for your CID and rename it to firmware.zip
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
Then perform the next commands
Fastboot oem rebootRUU (bootloader reboots)
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
This will update the hboot only .....
After this you unlock the bootloader again and flash the custom recovery, flash the boot.img from the Rom and do a new clean install of the rom
I'm waiting for RUU to download
I let you know if I did it right
But Tanks Anyway

Mine does it too, especially after InsertCoin or AOKP. Now I'm running Charmeleon v. 5.0.0.
Did you flash boot.img via fastboot?
Without it, the phone won't boot.
Every time you flash a new ROM or kernel, you have to flash the boot.img as long as we don't have s-off.
Here's how to do it :
Extract boot.img from your rom or kernel zip.
Reboot to bootloader.
Type FASTBOOT FLASH BOOT BOOT.IMG
Now you can flash roms or addons.
* You can even flash boot.img after flashing rom.

Hi all ,
I have a HTC ONE X on the UK 3 Network.
After an update and reboot it is now stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
I have tried many ways of trying to get it to work, no luck so far.
I have unlocked the boot loader and successfully flashed Team Win Recovery 2.3.3
I don't know really where to go next, I have tired following some guides but this is as far as I can get.
Can anyone direct me what to do next ?
Depends on what you want, go back to stock or go on and use a custom rom ?
