[Q] F180K Firmware Update and Other Problems - LG Optimus G (International)

Hi all.
I've recently purchased an LG Optimus G (F180K) through an online reseller. The phone was unlocked and works on my local carrier. Please excuse me if the following problems have already been answered in other forums but this is my first smartphone (moving from a Nokia XPressMusic 5530) and I'm having difficulty understanding all this talk about flashing and basebands and what not.
I want to know how to update it to Jelly Bean since Android 4.1.2 has already been released for the F180K in South Korea. Software Update reports that I'm using the latest update available. I see that there are stock 4.1.2 ROMs available for the F180K in the forums. Would installing that be different from updating through official channels? Also, my lockscreen shows the dual roaming clock and I am unable to change it as the settings are greyed out when I check under Global Roaming. Does anyone know how to change this? I've searched around and someone suggested to manually edit settings.apk or something similar to that but I don't know how to go about it. Lastly, I want to get rid of the pre-installed Olleh apps and remove the Korean characters from the dialler. It would also be nice to get English versions of QVoice and the other LG apps.
I would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through these things. Thank you very much in advance.

I have that same model. I tried some modified apk's to fix that call prompt and SMS char issues but nothing worked. I installed the G2 V5 ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462453 It's a stock based ROM, follow the instructions to a T and all your problems will go away. It's a great, smooth ROM and the battery life is better than stock on the V5 as well.

[Q] How to change the android modified by AT&T for the international version?

Hello evryone! I've just bought an unlocked LG Optimus G Pro. This phone is the AT&T version, but since it's unlocked, and i use it in europe, there are lot of useless apps in it, and it doesn't contains the language of my country (Hungary). I want to change the android for the version what the factory unlocked phone has. Can anyone help me? I've already found a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438088 but i'm not sure that this is what i'm looking for.

You can flash this kdz file at: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+Optimus+G+Pro/Stock/Panama+E980H/
Thank you! I have some other questions too.
Thank you very much! So this is the international version for unlocked phones right? I just checked the software version in my phone and it's running on E9810p. And one more question, the unlocked software version contains all the default android languages? I just found here a file for my country, its in the HungaryE986 folder on the site what you linked (i can't put there links because i just registered yesterday sorry.) but it's number is E98610E. So i don't know it is compatible with my phone or not.

LTE issues on D855

Hello guys,
Before i start i think i have tried everything already(apart from rooting) Flashing a different firmware(Italian), using the codes on the dial-up and a bunch of other minor stuff to get LTE on my Chinese D855(Taiwan).
I tried flashing the Italian 20D/20E/20F Firmware and the UK 20F firmware and had no sucess and everytime after i installed i had an error at startup saying ''Warning! Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[FFFFFF] subset[55]'' Before buying the phone i checked it's specs and i saw that it supported the LTE bands used in Europe so this doesn't make much sense.
This is my first android device ever and any help would be truly appreciated, loving the phone but this issue is pissing me off. I'm in Ireland btw.\
Thanks in advance!

H815 USA Supported kdz Versions

Hi all,
I have an H815 USA version, which I got off eBay but expect to be from the USA G4 trial program, and I have a few related questions:
What is the most recent .kdz file that anyone has tested with this phone?
Is the most recent (6.0 if applicable) supported stock ROM the best, or does it have any significant known bugs, for example failing to send/receive SMS messages?
Does putting on another stock ROM permit any sort of unlocks that were not previously possible with the USA version firmware?
The phone came with v10b-EUR firmware, and would not update itself to anything more recent. However, I downloaded a Polish .kdz from here (H81510E_00.kdz): http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/H815/ and successfully installed it using the LG Uploader (2014 version) tool today.
This appears to have fixed all but one stagefright vulnerability. I am interesting in upgrading to one of the Marshmallow versions there, if it is advisable by the crowd here.
Based on a screenshot from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/diy-h815-usa-variant-hardware-boot-loop-t3311623), it looks like user rogconnect may have a 6.0 ROM installed on this version of the phone, but I am worried about bricking my device or upgrading to a firmware that is buggy and not being able to revert.

Is it possible to install a European ROM (G710EM) in the Korean version (G710N)?

I have a very serious doubt, my phone is the LG G7 G710N Korean operator (open), I have instaled the Korean version libre without problem, the question is whether I will have a problem installing the Spanish version G710EM or not, since at if it can be done the other way around (losing some settings and features along the way, like VoLTE). Can someone clarify the matter for me? , Thank you.
PD: I have android version 10 (30d Korean).
