I used the "[MOD/LOCKED/ROOTED] Imperium Agent Tuned Stock Jelly Bean v1.1.0" on my stock JB and my calendar does not sync anymore.
I am in need of calendar sync. How do I undo this mod?
Also, I would have posted this in the thread but as I have under 10 posts xda does not allow me to post over there.
Sync fix
Thanks for the quick reply but unfortunately after I did I clear the app data within the calender app info, I went to "Accounts & Sync" and I still get a sync error. I keeps saying "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."
I haven't received any reports of this yet so let me flash back to v9 then update to JB and apply the mod and see what may be the cause. It will be a bit before I can get back to you though.

did you do a clean install? factory reset and everything? when i didnt factory reset on the v9 version it screwed up my calender sync but once i did a clean install it was fine. hope that helps
You may have a point. Everything I release is tested on clean phones. I also have always flashed mods/ROMs/kernels on clean phones as well (a bricked phone many moons ago got me in that habit).
EDIT-
So I have gone from v9 to ZVB, applied the mod and calender sync works. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke I did this a number of times and sync has worked every time.
If you cannot get sync to work and want to undo the mod, the instructions were posted in the first post of the thread.

Does LGNPST count as factory reset? Or do I press factory reset within the phone's setting (menu-> setting- > backup & reset -> factory reset data)
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2
menu-> setting- > backup & reset -> factory reset data
Thank you both. That definitely did the trick. I did the factory reset, re-rooted, and apply the mod again. Now everything is working fine.

how can I remove initial google account? I have a problem with google checkout on this initial account and need to remove it.
I tried remove the cache and that didnt work nor did it trigger a notification.
Any suggestions?
How can I remove all google apps?
If you're simply trying to change the Google account the phone uses, go to Settings > Accounts and Sync, and then add your new/other Google account and remove the problematic one.
Thats does not work.
It says the "problematic" account can not be removed because its used by other applications.
And this is AFTER you added the second account? You may have to do an entire wipe and then sign in with the new account on first boot.

I think the answer to my own question is yes;therefore, should I just follow these instructions?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747381
im good, disregard.
I must have missed the part where you were rooted, but yes, I always suggest a wipe from recovery. When re-flashing, dont forget to install the latest gapps.
Is a rom install needed? Can't he just reset data via factory reset?
It's only his account that need's changing.

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone else has had same problem i'm having right now. When opening Mail(not gmail) i get the following message:
the application Mail(proces com.htc.android.mail) has suddenly stopped. Please try again.
I keep on trying but get same message every time. Restarting phone does not help. Don't want to do a hard reset because then i will lose data/apps...... Anyone know a sollution? I've deinstalled any apps that i installed between when Mail was and was'nt working. I have a stock DHD(dutch). Not rooted yet
My native language is dutch so the "error" message might be different on WWE phones. Sorry for any mistakes in the message.
Happy new year

I dont have a different radio installed, everything is Stock from HTC. Tryed to set up account again (and deleting old stuff) but get different error. Getting frustrated. Thinking of doing a hard reset. Any backup programs i should install before reset?
Just a thought, have you tried settings, applications, manage applications, mail, clear data and clear cache? I had a similar problem with gmail app and that cured it.

Preacher65, thanks for the tip. But that did not solve the problem. When i add an exchange account(because with previous procedure the account has been deleted) i can complete every step except the last one. Then i get a error saying something like setup was not succesfull, try again later.
I can see the sync item appearing in the taskbar though? I'm out of ideas?

Sorry it didn't work. I don't use Exchange on this phone so out of ideas, really.
To answer your earlier question, though, you can use apps like Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro to backup any non-stock apps and data to your SD card, then if you wipe you can restore them quite easily and quickly.
Or if you have Auto-sync on, and "Backup my settings" and "Automatically Restore" ticked in the Settings/Privacy option, Android will re-download all your Market apps automatically. It saves your settings to your Google account and uses that data to restore your apps after a wipe. I think it restores app data too, not sure though as I only used it once - I use Titanium now as it's much quicker.
Hope that helps.

I just opened my phone & tried to open my gmail & it just closed, no FC or anything just a black screen that opened & closed real fast. I then tried to open the market & it says you must add a new account so i hit yes & that just closes to, so i went to settings accounts & sync & my gmail is not in there so i hit add account & there is no gmail in there. Anyone know how i can get my Google account working again? I also tried loading the market webpage on my laptop & it won't even open. Wonder if Google is having problems.
I had this problem before but can't remember for the life of me how i fixed it. I am rooted & running Shooter Rom. I don't want to restore my phone, that's my last option.

(If you are still experiencing this problem)
Restart your phone once (works most of the time)...if that doesn't do it, clear cache and dalvik and reflash the rom (without full wipe)...
Alternatively, you could also try fixing permissions from the recovery.

Yes. You will have all your existing apps and data. Reflashing should replace missing files and redo the permissions.

Hi guys,
I'm sure there is a simple fix for this, but I've been searching all over the internet(s) and can't seem to fix the problem. I flashed Liquid JB a few days ago, and other than this sync issue, everything has been going well. From what I've gathered, this is an issue linked to restoring Google information through Titanium, instead of letting the phone sync on its own.
If this is simply "factory reset and begin anew," or flash a different ROM, that's okay with me; however, I'm just curious as to why I can't enable auto-sync on either my Google account or my FB account.
Am I on the right track? Any one have information on what's going on?
I think it's more likely a ROM issue. I've tried some ROMs where it works and some where it hasn't

Make sure you flashed the gaaps package. I've never used liquid but there have been a few times where I've been wtf I have no contact info and I had forgot to flash the gaaps. You can just flash them at your current state right now it won't harm anything.
As far as fb goes I use haxsync to link fb to my contacts so I'm not sure on that one.

Before doing a factory reset I would try wiping days from Google Services Framework and from the Play Store. Reboot, then sign back in to the Play Store...

Try removing and re-adding your Google account via Settings > Accounts.
My i19082 goes into a constantly repeating reboot cycle if the "Sync" function is activated. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance for any comments.

More details? Rooted, or installed any custom mods or etc? Try factory reset, if else not working then you will have to flash your firmware again.

Thanks for the response. I'm a novice - how do I find out if the phone is Rooted? How do I do a factory reset? Or, where can I find information on these issues?

Alright, if like that means you haven't play anything on your phone yet, To resolve that, go to Settings > Backup and reset > factory reset your device.
Warning all apps will be lose your apps and all will be reset to default. (*just like you have newly bought your phone)
You can backup your SMS messages using SMS Backup & Restore app. Search for it in Playstore, If you want to backup your contacts, just export your contacts to SD card.

Or, you can try remove all your account and add them again then disable the Sync, See if it helps, if not, try reset your phone. If you are very unlucky even after reset the problem still presist, you should sent to Samsung Service Centre, maybe is hardware related issue.
