Need Pro Users Help!! Im a android noob! - Galaxy Ace II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Galaxy ace 2 with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 installed. The current RAM that i have is 600+. I was wondering if there is any other ROMs that can power a higher amount of RAM or a Custom ROM that supports Swapper. As now i am using Jelly Bean i cannot use the Swapper as it always says Activation of file failed. And Jelly Bean often hangs on my phone

Only Samsung can touch ram. Download a custom rom and auto task killer to reduce lagging

I think SWAPER need ROOT. If ROM stock - install root and enjoy. ROOT in SGA II Development

Samsung hasn't made any Jelly Bean for our galaxy W. It means, we cannot upgrade it via KIES. The only thing you can do is flashing custom ROMs like CM9. It should give you the ICS. CM10 is still in development which is Jelly Bean. It is not fully working yet so be patient for jelly bean.
Thats true.
Usually samsung just release 1 firmware update for their device. Max 2. I mean update for android version not just update for baseband or value pack.
So dont expect more from samsung.
Its understannable, since they too often release new device.

It's so stable and the performance is even better than stock. The only thing you cannot use in CM9 is FM radio... Other than that works perfectly. You will love it, I bet it.

Rooting 4.1.1 after jelly bean update???

I use the all in one kit found in the dev area. the all in one kit comes with odin and tar files to be used. I used the tar files that came with it for the 4.0 version but after updating over the air from tmobile I dont have a tar file for the new system....any help finding it would defiantly be awesome...thanks guys..
Galaxy s3 t99v rom install
Hey guys, I'm new to android so i'm a bit confused. I currently have wicked rom v6 on my galaxy s3. A new version v2 wicked with jelly bean was released. I'm wondering if I have to revert to stock firmware (ics), then install stock jellbean and then install the v2 wicked rom jelly bean? Can I just install it over my current wicked rom v6 running on ICS?
Basically, I want to know if I can just install a custom rom over a custom rom? secondly, does this custom rom that I install over a custom rom have to be the same editions (ie: iCS with ICS) or can it go from ICS to Jelly bean without having to revert to stock?
thanks

You mean Jelly Bean
I just downloaded and installed it to check and it is working fine. I am running my own compiled AOSP ROM from source with Trinity kernel alpha 7.
It will really help you if you mention the exact ROM you are running and kernel so others can help you bettER

Oh I missed that Jelly Belly is a ROM! Sorry my mistake
I am using an unlocked GSM Gnex without any specific carrier
Why don't you ask about this app in the Jelly Belly ROM thread so others using the same ROM can help you bettER I guess because it does not seem a 4.2.1 issue at all???
If you restored the app using Titanium Backup, then sometimes uninstalling it and re-installing it directly from the Play Store helps

[Q] flashing ICS instead of curenct jelly beans rom

Hello Guys,
1. Does it possible to flash ICS instead of Jelly beans? I've recently flashed a jelly beans ROM and I would like to flash a ICS based ROM instead because the Jell beans ROMS as far as I've seen doesn't have Htc Sense yet.
2. what is the most popular ICS ROM with sense?
3. also, my wifi isn't working, I can't turn it on. full wipe & restarting the phone didn't help (that's why I've flashed the jelly beans ROM, I thought it would fix it), any ideas what can I do?
Regards, Ofir
1. Yes of course, flash any ICS ROM the same way you flashed JB.
2. For features and Sense 4, it's ViperDHD.
Other Sense 4 stable ROM is Sabsa Prime and for Sense 3.6, Blackout ICS XL.
3. Is your battery cover cracked by any chance? That's also the WiFi antenna. Also, what radio are you using? Check in Settings-About-Baseband version.

ICS Camera On Stock ROM For Jelly Bean Custom Roms

I need some advice I brought the Arc S and updated it to ICS (official).
But I really liked the Camera on the ICS but I rooted and blah blah blah flashed a Jelly Bean ROM
Is the way to get that awesome camera on a Jelly Bean ROM as a mod
Sent from my Xperia Arc S using xda app-developers app
Not yet... It would require heavy framework modding as the framework of stock is different to JB
Also due to unavailable camera libs, its not available yet.
