Looking for best lightweight indoor texting gloves [SOLVED!] ... - Galaxy Note 10.1 Accessories

Hi,
I typically use my SPen for navigating on my GN10.1 but when I write and rest my palm on the screen it gets funky real fast (we humans are slimy creatures).
What I would like is a nice pair of lightweight gloves for working on the tablet. I am not looking for warmth but thinness and effectiveness. Most of the gloves I have seen online are designed for cold weather wear. That is not my purpose.
All suggestions appreciated...

My suggestion; fingertip-less gloves for $0.99 at your local Target, and a decent screen protector ( i've heard some of the $5 ones on eBay do the trick quite well, and work flawlessly with the sPen)

Thanks. Yes the problem with gloves that cover your finger tips is that it becomes hard to hold the pen.

There are actually gloves designed for artists that probably do exactly what you want. Try a search for 'Cintiq glove'.

Excellent, thank you! These are exactly what I have been looking for. $20 with shipping not bad for something I will use every day. The 2 finger and palm size is perfect for me as I tend to rest my pinky and ring finger on the screen as I write.
The fact my index finger is uncovered doesn't matter as I just used the pen to click the screen when I'm writing.
You can buy them here: http://www.smudgeguard.com/index.htm
Thanks again!

No problem! They're not something you see everyday

You also can buy them from Artistic Visions for $9.74 USD plus shipping, which was $1.99 for my area. http://www.artisticvizions.com/Home.html

POst back when you have tried it! I should be getting one to review as well
Will do

I eagerly wait for your review! I have been looking at cases for my SG2, and this one may be the perfect one. This case would make it much easier for designing a tripod adapter.
It looks as though the buttons holes are too deep to use them, maybe it is just how it looks to me. I hope so. I want to get one of these as soon as I know about the button holes.

Those look awesome. However I wonder if they have a liner or something on the inside to prevent damaging the phone itself.
According to the website OP linked they do.

Raises up the camera and screen so as to have less chance of scratches on either, less chance of scratching the sides, which seem to me the most tender in terms of scratches, and offers an easier item to hold. I only want to know if the holes are too deep to use the volume and power button. If that is the case, than I wont buy one. But they do look really :awsm.
One of these in black + a Zagg Invisible shield should be the way to go Pitty BestSkinsEver don't have quicker shipping options to AUS

Airbrushing isn't that hard, just sand the thing down, prime it, sand it, paint it, then clear coat. Take you about a days wait, with about 2hours work.
if you're lucky, the letters will be in plastic, this way you can use a sugar cube to scratch it off. the reason for the sugar cube is because its not hard enough to scratch the paint/metal off yet strong enough to remove plastic lettering

does anyone have this case? im planning on getting it simply because it has a crazy good price and looks like a decent product.
Looks very nice and fits my budget! Right now im using the $29.99 Belkin Acer Iconia Stand case with my custom cutouts for rear camera... Its a nice case but doesnt quite fit snug and the volume rocker is hard to use.
Just ordered this case you suggested, thanks for the find!
I ordered the case a week ago. Im rather pleased with it. Especially since it was so cheap.

I have been using mine for a little over a week and it's awesome. It doesn't have as many standing options (for lack of a better term) as some of the more expensive units but it's sturdy, tablet is held in with velcro so it won't slip, locks in place pretty well, and overall feels good. Solid but not too big. Highly recommended.
Whoah this is almost the same case as the rooCase that I bought sans the logo.
Bought mine for 30+.

I bought this case a week ago, its the best case for galaxy 10.1 hands down.
Best price, best fit, best angles and camera cutouts of any case currently sold at stores. I got it for $9.99 and it makes the $59.99 Samsung case look like a joke!

I was wondering if anything goes on the actual screen? If so does it affect your viewing of movies or games?

no nothing goes on the actual screen, except the frame you see on side (which does not affect your viewing of movies or games).
how hard was it to actually get everything lined up correctly? was the process a pain in the ass?
thanks
You're welcome.
the process is very simple. It took me about 5-10 mins.
This looks nice, I was always thinking about getting one of these skins but I don't know... $20 seems kind of hefty to me.
Hows it holding up to daily use? I would love not to have a case but I miss the unique looks, and this seems like the perfect alternative.

It's not an alternative to a case. Why you think a skin would be is beyond me. It may protect against light scratches or scuffs, but won't protect the tab from damage if it's dropped or banged. You need a case or cover.

I said that "I would love not to have a case" which means I dont like them. But I buy them for everything, because I dont like my items looking the exact same as they came, or what everyone elses looks like. So a skin suits me. I dont throw my valuables, it seems dumb to me why'd you throw a piece of technology our society revolves around. And I dont see how you know what I need.

That one's just like mine.
I'm rather satisfied with it.
For sure no fancy and high quality materials... but... it has all the features that a good cover for the SGN10.1 must have:
no magnets
one opening specifically designed for the S-Pen extraction
the other three corners protected in case of dropping
opening to charge the GNote10.1 even with the case closed
other ports accessible (but for the IR port and the MicroSD slot when the case is closed)
no front stripes near the front camera and luminosity sensor that can cast shadows on them
the front cover is hinged on the lower side so that you can use the back camera without having to fumble to manually keep the cover raised
loudspeakers free
I use it at school (where I often have chalk on my hands) and it's good enough for that.
In case I wanted to get a better and classy and elegant one, with HQ materials, I'd take this one: apart from the materials used the design is (more or less) the same

I've got that case too. Pleasantly surprised by it really. It is a nice fit, nothing is covered that shouldnt be. Seems quite stable when up in stand mode.

I got the Mako one and I'm not happy with it, but don't hate it. I think this one looks a lot nicer. How is it working out for you?
The mako one for instance has a grip that covers the slot for the s-pen. It's very annoying.

[REVIEW] NuTouch Gloves

If there's anything I hate more than snot dripping down my nose in a snowstorm, is not being able to use my phone while out in the cold. Back before capacitive touchscreens it wasn't too complicated of an endeavor to place a phone call because you could bang your fingers on the buttons to make a phone call through your gloves. Now it is more complicated than an adult trying to open a child-proof pill bottle.
Newer Technology hopes to change all that. Ok, maybe not the snot dripping thing (or the child-proof pill bottle problem for adults), but they have come up with some gloves which enable you to use your touchscreen while out in the cold AND keep your fingertips from going numb. They call them "NuTouch Gloves" and they are available for purchase on Amazon. They market these for iCrap devices, but they obviously work just as well on all touchscreen devices.
These gloves do in fact work. I am able to slide my finger across my Galaxy S III and Note 10.1 just as if my fingers were naked. I haven't once had an issue with having to duplicate a swipe or a touch due to these gloves thanks to the special electricity-conducting fibers on the finger tips. I did, however, have issues with my hands becoming cold as these gloves are not very thick. They also make my hands more slick, thus causing me to lose control of my phone a few times. Luckily no damage was done, but my life flashed before my eyes a few times. Even with a rubber case on my phone it was still slick.
Overall for the price you can get these for at Amazon, roughly ~$10USD, they are a bargain and make a great gift.

Cool! Thanks for the post :cyclops: My mom's looking for a glove like this

Worth buying, and which is recommended for online store?
How's the stitching on them? I have a pair of touch screen gloves but they were cheap, 3 dollars from ebay, and the stitching is horrible! And they're the ones with the silver tips so it says to the world "hey i'm using touch screen gloves". .. ugly. Thanks for the review. I may consider these.
