I came through a lot of problems for the past 2 weeks, with my new Xperia Arc. Currently i ve flashed to .587 stock ROM and then flashed Vengence kernel, Installed the Ultimate HD v3.03 using CWM. I also installed the modules of both vengence and stock .587. But now i cannot access internet, when i download the settings from Settings->Xperia->Download settings. I get this "Could not download settings error" Please insist me. But i can see the APN profile in my networks option, even when i tick that, its not working..
THis is what i followed, a post by Tesla....
Oh man.. They are right after Vengeance 1.32 download.
Called Modules http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mg8x3fl3qxpp9u1
You will need stock too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...3&d=1345565020
I flashed both the modules, but could'int get it ork, Please help me, Any one faced similar problems?
What do you mean by "modules of both vengence and stock .587"? You only need to flash Vengeance modules. Flash .587 then custom kernel then install UHD (remember to wipe everything) and then kernels modules. Good luck.

I skimmed through the Ultimate HD threat, and found that , flashing the vengence kernel's modules is not enough... I must also flash the stocke .587 kernal 's modules... That is which i obtained from that link above, I even tried to everything from the starch, BUt the internet problem still persist, So since i am flashing to .587 ROM 0r Firmware, (which is probably the ROM of Xperiar Arc S) Should i have to download the vengence kernel for Arc S ???? What should i specify in the aroma installer? Arc S or Xperia Arc?
But why flash stock modules when they're already embedded in UHD? Start again from flashing .587 ftf then install Vengeance kernel from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097138 then wipe all, install ROM and then flash kernel modules. I'm not sure but try to select Arc s in aroma installer.
edit:
Remember to flash new modules downloaded from the thread linked above.

i did it 4 times !!!!!!!!!!! And still the same problem, wifi is working great but the mobile internet is not working, the APN settings exists, but cannot use internet, I think there is some problem with APN configuration file in my ROM.. Any body faced the same problem...?? Please help..!
Look for internet settings on your carriers website and setup your phone manually.

I already did that.... The settings are the same.. But there is no internet access.. But its working fine on stock .587 ROM ... Then the problem must be with the UHD rom right??? There is no E symbol at all..
i have the same internet settings problem as well. turned on Data Connectivity but no H or E or 3G or anything. i had to reinstall the ROM to make it work again.. but even then,, it always swtiches down to EDGE eventhough there's 3G signal. might be interference between ROM and kernel.

Hi guys, i need a little help here. I've recently unlocked bl with omnius. So far i'v installed generic stock with wotan. Flashed DoomkernelV20 with fastboot, its modules with recovery. Then Baseband 34 tft with flashtool and its modules with recovery. Then wipes and flashed MooDeD GB 20 Rom from Recovery.
Problem: NO WIFI, if i clik wi-fi on settings status changes to Error.
I cant spot the failure. im pretty sure is DoomKernel and its modules. did i done something wrong? wrong flash order?
Now im not even sure baseband modules were necessary.
Any recommendation? reflash something? reset or wipe?
you have to flash wifi modules again after flashing a new rom
Realized about it 1 minute before your post. Thank you very much anyway Now seems so obvius

on my Arc, i rooted with zergRUSH on .42, installed auto cwm installer, flashed a working DoomKernel V4 (works with other roms).
I tested both the above roms on DoomKernel, doing all the wiping first (system, cache, davlik etc.)
My basbeand is .56 which hasen't seemed to be a problem with anything else.
The problem is after rebooting from cwm recovery after flashing the roms, my phone gets into a boot loop, showing the DoomKernel image, than rom logo, then reboot again, and so on, just wondering what i might be doing wrong
Thanks in advanced.
(also, 1 more thing, I'm new to the forums, so can someone give me some idea of where the GOD DAMN thanks button is)
You are trying the ICS kernel with GB rom.
Thats not possible.
Flash/Fastboot ics kernel to ics rom
And gb kernel to gb rom
From my sexy LT15i
Thanks
Hey man thanks, i flashed my device back to stock .42 with wotanclient, so i got my stock kernel back, reflashed cwm recovery, and then managed to get the 1st rom working on the stock kernel.
However, i can't seem to get wifi working on the 1st rom, and it has somehow removed my cwm recovery.
Gonna reflash stock .42 so i can test the second rom.
(also, i found the thanks button)
For wifi you need to flash the wifi modules
From my sexy LT15i
Still no wifi
Hey mate thanks for the suggestion, i managed to get both roms working on the stock kernel with no add-ons, however as with the first one, i can't get any wifi on the second one,
I had a look at both the rom threads, neither of which provide and kind of wifi module to speak of, and the only module i can find is with DoomKernel, which causes neither of the roms to work.
On both roms, when i try to turn on the wifi all i get is this
Wi-Fi
Error
Thanks in advanced
Witch rom and doom did you use.
The doomkernel v.20 is for gingerbeard roms (android 2)
The doomkernel v.4 is for icecreamsandwich roms (android 4)
Try the wifi module from doom anyway, ir try to contact dev.

Wifi modules should be with kernel thread, if you are on ArcKnight kernel use modules for ArcKnight. For Trinity, use Trinity modules.
I looked at links, on ArcKnight it is google docs page, you will see menu at top, select file and download. You will have flashable zip.
try this
i think you are trying to download either trinity kernel or arcknight kernel wifi modules
i went through the site,,,it's google docs
so just go to FILE ON THE UPPER LEFT SIDE AND SCROLL DOWN TO THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON
DON'T TRY to download individual files ...
***IF THIS DOESN'T HELP THEN try to use different browser and download the zip file(i use chome and it's working fine)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***IF YOU THINK I HELPED THEN SHOW IT BY PRESSING THE THANKS ICON***
Thank you guys. That was helpfull.

Hey i saw the link you pasted and the wifi modules are fine..they are uploaded in docks.google website and the link shows the files present in the zip file..the only thing you need to do is go to https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8PRWqpWN73RcVhFSVZ0MEpmWjg/edit?pli=1 or https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8PRWqpWN73RM0VMVG9xQzU5RTg/edit?pli=1 links as per your kernel and there go to file menu on the top..then select download..
The downloaded file willl be in zip format..then later flash it through cwm !!
Hope This Helps u..
flash it via cwm

hello .i have Stock ICS kernel .587
problems with LuPuS wifi
I have a Xperia Arc LT15i unlocked and running CWM 6.0.1.5
I was following all the instructions in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885559
LuPuS-JBv3-ARC&S.img
WiFi-FIX-LuPuS-JBv3-ARC&S.zip
1) flash LuPuS JBv3 using fastboot
2) in CWM wipe data/factory reset, cash partition, dalvik
3) install SnapSeries CAMP Anzu v02_Si and reboot (lets me move the wifi switch but doesnt stay on)
4) install WiFi-FIX-LuPuS-JBv3-ARC&S and reboot (won't let me move the wifi switch)
5) install CIFS-JBv2-ARC&S in terminal emulator (failed: exec format error)
SnapSeries CAMP released v3 today and I've tried all of the above again and I still can't get the wifi working.
Any ideas?

Did you try flashing the rom then flashing wifi fix.Do not restart after flashing rom, just do it at the same time.
But there is one more thing, does this ROM support this kernel you have flashed?

In fact. Ice Cream Sandwich IS the bug. (/troll)
I had the same issue. I figured out that. Turning Wifi-N off (on router settings, turn on only wifi B/G) fixes the problem.
If it doesn't work. Buy a new router or go back to gingerbread.
So, I went back to gingerbread. (And I have a free router)

Thanks for your reply Pren22. I've had no luck with flashing the rom and wifi fix.
I tried flashing the kernal that was on the rom without success. It said that LuPuS was recommended so I tried that too.

I rooted my Xperia Arc last year and installed Ultimate HD v3. Though it was working fine yesterday after I had flashed Ultimate HD v5, both my Wifi and CWM stopped working (earlier I probably installed CWM manually through copying some files to SYSTEM directory). Now, I have no idea whether its a ROM specific problem or I've done something wrong. I am a noob so someone please help me out. In this situation could someone help with the following:
1. How I can re-install CWM now (my wifi is nor working)?
2. Is there any way to start wifi without CWM module flash?
It would be a great help if someone could guide me what to do and provide some thread link for this. Thanks in advance.

2. Once you have flashed LuPuS kernel and installed UHDv5, there is no need to flash wifi modules.
