Restoring to stock not using right CSC?? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hey there I am attempting to restore my note to stock. My csc for sasktel is BWA. I have downloaded multiple different images that are stock that say are BWA and for sasktel. Everytime I flash one I am stock but it also auto applies the Bell csc, giving me Bell bloatware. What is going on here? Thanks.

Use Kies to restore.

Download Kies on your PC. Go to the restore area. You will have to have your model number and serial number. Its behind the battery I think. Following the instructions and this will return your phone back. Just like you got it of the box.

I'm using the Stock AT&T firmware (4.0.4 ice cream sandwich)
Please Help :crying:

I wish I knew more about how other countries did the whole using another SIM card deal even though technically it's still the US in a round about way.

It wasn't you who rooted it ? I assume you got it second hand and someone unlocked it and it just won;t work on your network ? did someone use it before on Claro ?
Is it a i747 or i747m model ?
Below is the link to all the modems. You just reboot into recovery and flash it there. Make sure its the one for your model. It's an option to try.

You're right, I rooted the phone using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28019751
The phone was bought in USA, when I bought the phone was locked to the original carrier (AT&T), on at&t network the 4G worked without problem.
Nobody used the phone on Claro before.
It a i747.

Ahhh makes sense now. So you rooted with the rooted :
Puerto Rico Image - New!
Current I747MUMBLL1 (JB 4.1.1)
Mirror 1: Download root66_PCT_I747MUMBLL1.7z
If you don't have a custom recovery do this:
The fastest and easiest way to install TWRP is to use the GooManager app:
Play Store Link
Direct Download
1) Install GooManager from the Play Store
2) Open GooManager and provide root permissions
3) Hit Menu (or the button with the 3 dots on your screen) and then Install OpenRecove
then boot into recovery (hold power and volume buttons down and then release power when screen flashes or use the goo manager app to boot into recovery)
and flash a modem and see if you get a signal.

[Q] galaxy note 2 wont update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. What should I do?

I have a Samsung galaxy note 2 gt n7100, and for some reason it won't update to the 4.1.2, I bought the same phone for my father and he receives any update when it comes out but mine doesn't. When I click update in the settings it says that I currently have the latest firmware. What should I do?

Yours might be carrier locked. which means you'll only get updated once your carrier releases a new firmware. You can always flash stock firmwares using odin on your pc.

What the person above said. Download a firmware from sammobile.com, extract odin, open it, choose PDA to select firmware. Put phone into download mode by pressing home+power+volumedown then volumeup if a message pops up. Connect to pc using cable and press start. Takes about 2~3mins and will reboot if options are left as they are.

Just download any firmware listed under N7100. Any will work fine. If you're going to keep it stock, you might want to use one that doesn't show a carrier name in brackets as they're branded roms.

I tried to flash the MG1 modem from the tread using mobile odin (untar the MG1.tar, flash modem.bin using modem2 option). When I rebooted the baseband under settings/about was unknown and I couldn't get any reception. What am I doing wrong?

Try re flashing your kernel of choice... If that doesn't work you'll have to stay on the modem specific to your carrier 1337m don't have any issues flashing international modems so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I tried to re-flash using ODIN 3.07, and I get an error saying that the C++ runtime crashed. I wonder whether the file is corrupt (I have re-downloaded MG1.tar, still same problem).... Very odd..
Somewhat, mobile odin broke my CWM recovery as well during this process. When I try to reboot into recovery to flash the kernel, the phone simply reboot after showing th small blue rebooting recovery text. So, I had to reflash the recovery through desktop odin again... Anyhow, long story short, I have reflashed google play edition 4.2.2 kernel that I was using, and still cannot get any reception (modem section still unknown) with the MG1 modem file...

Ok, back to square 1. Fixed the unknown baseband and I am at the original MDL.
Now, I decided to go the DESKTOP ODIN route. Extracted modem.bin, fired up ODIN 3.07, clicked phone, selected modem.bin, unchecked auto reboot, hit start and got fail!. The phone screen shows "secure check fail : mdm". Is this MG1 modem maybe not compatible with M919?

[Request] Metro PCS Stock ROM

So I have my S4 unlocked and am using it with Metro now that they started to offer SIM cards. Everything works great with the stock T-Mo ROM. However, I would just for a day or two like to use the Metro ROM. If anyone is willing to upload a copy or knows where I can get one, let me know. Thanks.
Also waiting on this anyone have any info. Also if anyone does upload or find one will this stock rom bring everything back to stock including the recovery mode to make it look as if nothing ever happened. I guess what im really hoping for is a stock firmware anyone have a download link to one. or know of any info.
You guys should be able to use samsung keis .I used it to get back to stock when odin failed on me and it works .However you must provide the full model number and serial number of the device for it to work and it works like odin but its slower but it works it always a good when you have options especially when you need to revert to stock rom in order to send it in for repair's or exchange after you have downloaded samsung keis on your pc or laptop go ahead set it up and you will see the tabs at the top it will be the one on the right click it and follow the directions to the letter and if you've done everything correctly it will install the stock firmware and rom to your device and when its done it will reboot the s4 and your back to stock good luck

Hey thanks for the advice but for some reason samsung has not support for our device yet i installed kies before reading this trust me i tried looking everywhere for the stock firmware. in keys it just says your device is not supported. but what is weird is i dont know if i should call it a tmobile phone or just a knock off tmobile phone reason for this is. in google play store if on browser it asks u witch device to install to and it says the correct device number but at the end states tmbile. now even in kies it does this it says m919n tmb for tmobile. so im not sure what to do should i just flash tmobile firmware and then just unlock it cuz i mean from everything im coming up with it just seems that this s4"metropcs" phone is just a tmobile phone with an n and if thats the case a tmo firmware should work on it right??
Before you start flashing firmware's did you take out the battery .because thats where you can confirm that it is a sgh m919 if there is another letter at the end of m919 then you should do more research that way you dont end up with a bricked device. However if it's sgh m919 I would flash the M919 firmware for tmobile and call it a day and by the way you can get the stock firmware from chain fire's thread

To be honest with you I dont think you guys would ever see a stock metro pcs rom on xda because it wasn't sopprted in the past thats why you guys aren't getting anywhere with it .as a side not it always better to be safe than sorry even if is a extra step to take out the battery and check the model number there and you can check the serial number at the same location ive witness it countless times all because they wanted flash stock firmware a xtra step never killed anyone the last time I checked.

I do have a SGH-m919n. all I am wondering is if there is any location for me to find a stock metropcs firmware. Your didnt understand what I was saying . Xda has never supported any stock firmware for metro pcs.thats why your having a hard time getting any support for the stock firmware .and as a side note it is clear that you can't flash the stock firmware for the tmobile variant code name SGH M919

Since you have a M919n, notice the N at the end of the model number, why don't you do a factory restore and save the image before you boot up again? Once you have that back up you can then upload it and share
This is all assuming you have the stock Metro ROM to begin with.

Since you have a M919n, notice the N at the end of the model number, why don't you do a factory restore and save the image before you boot up again? Once you have that back up you can then upload it and share
This is all assuming you have the stock Metro ROM to begin with.

I really need the Metro Rom cause I just rooted it and wanted to unroot it and I couldn't find the metropcs stock firmware so I used T-Mobile's by accident and I can't switch back to The metro rom! I really need it.

Ok, here's my story. I rooted my MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S4. I wanted to unroot it but used the T-Mobile .tar file when I was unrooting it and now when I boot my phone, it shows T-Mobile on the booting proccess, though when I am brought to the lock screen, in the bottom it says MetroPCS. Does anyone know how to go back to original stock firmware? I don't know how to get it for the MetroPCS version.
Tired of waiting. Went with 4.3 GPe, haven't looked back. Owning a Nexus 7 I couldn't be happier. Still wouldn't mind trying out that Metro ROM for fun. There is a demand for it. Just saying.
Will be getting a metro s4 soon so I'll have to root it and upload a tarp stock backup for you guys

Thx, I look foward to it, also I have a question. How exactly do you upload a tarp stock backup, my family member also has the galaxy s4 from metro and I could borrow it from him and upload it but the problem is I don't know how to.
Well number one you will need to root it and numder 2 you will need to install a custom recovery and number 3 once your custom is installed I suggest cwm and the person that needs the tar backup must also have cwm custom recovery as well .boot into recovery and do a complete backup .When thats done go to cwm backup folder and you should see the tar backup .now you upload it to where ever you need it and that s it on your part is done .Now it's up to person you've uploaded to and all he or she needs to do is download it and then move it to the cwm backup folder and when thats done your ready to flash the backup all should go well as long as the stock tar backup doesn't get corrupt .good luck

Hey did you ever get a chance to upload the stock ROM for the s4? I really need it! Thanks in advance
No, sorry. Not a single person with a stock ROM wants to help :/
If I ever get it, I will post it and share. Till then might I recommend an Google edition ROM? That is if AOSP is your thing

So I have my S4 unlocked and am using it with Metro now that they started to offer SIM cards. Everything works great with the stock T-Mo ROM. However, I would just for a day or two like to use the Metro ROM. If anyone is willing to upload a copy or knows where I can get one, let me know. Thanks.

Did you clear the counter with Triangle Away, and unroot with Supersu Pro before attempting??
Also what method is your ROM setup for... Odin or TWRP?
I have a modded recovery loader so, what I am able to do will be different in results beyond the basics.
Download which one you want from this page:

And odin it.

This isn't for our device specifically, but it's all the same. Kies, tools, emergency recovery.
Just make sure you allow kies to install all the drivers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261153
Kies won't connect. Says Failed to retreive device info.
