Try this
Instructions:
It's best to complete this procedure in the evening before going to bed, so you can leave it at 100% overnight and check in the morning if the drainage issue is fixed!!!
The whole procedure along with recalibration might take up to 5-6 hours!
1. Take the case off your Atrix (one of the latter steps involves taking the battery out from the phone while it's plugged in. Make sure your case won't stand in the way.)
2. Install Battery Calibration app from the market
3. Plug in your Atrix to charge while it's on, wait till it gets to a 100%
4. When the charge is 100%, open the BatteryCalibration app and lookup what the charge is in MV while at 100%. (Explanatory pic, needed number circled in red). Write it down.
My Atrix was showing ~3400MV while at 100%, which is definitely not the maximum capacity.
5. Discharge your Atrix completely until it shuts off.
A good way of doing this quickly is by turning on wifi, and a video player.
6. Without turning on the phone plug it into a wall charger and let it get to 100%
7. When it's at 100%, without unplugging it from the wall charger, take off the battery cover, and take the battery out.
Your phone will "reboot" and show a Missing Battery icon.
8. Without unplugging the phone from the wall charger or turning it on, put the battery back in and wait until the phone recognizes the battery.
9. Your battery should now be recognized by the phone, and showing a charge % significantly lower than 100%.
Mine showed only 5%. Back when I used a Milestone, it usually showed 60% after doing this.
10. Let it sit there charging for 2-3 hours.
My phone wouldn't charge past 10%, but yours might. The numbers don't matter much as the phone is definitely getting additional charge that could have been lost while flashing ROMs, etc.
11. After 2-3 hours, turn the phone on while holding the volume down button and get into CWM.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
12. Install jug6ernaut's CWM battery fix (even if you had it installed before), do not reboot yet.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
13. Wipe battery stats in CWM, reboot.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
14. When the phone turns on, go into BatteryCalibration app again and look up your MV numbers
- if you were like me, they should be significantly higher than before. After this whole process I had 4200MV at 100%, comparing to 3400MV before calibration.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
15. Before going to sleep - Install Watchdog from the market. Go into it's preferences, set CPU threshhold to 20%, check "Include phone processes", check "Monitor phone processes", check "Display all phone processes", set system CPU threshhold to 20% as well.
Do not disconnect it from the charger still!
16. Make sure your wifi and data connections are off. Now finally unplug the phone from the charger.
Go to bed, let your phone sleep too.
17. Success! Next morning check where your battery % is at and if you followed the instructions correctly / got lucky like me, your battery life should be 90% or more.
I went to bed with 98% and woke up to 94%. So, I consider this mission a success.
(Your general battery capacity should have increased, even if something still was draining the battery, you will be able to find the infringing process in WatchDog with the settings we've set up in step 15 )
Also calibration+wiping battery stats more or less the same thing

The battery didnt die during the process, it just die an afternoon...
When i replace the battery it works fine for a while, until i used the RSD lite to change the Android version...
I cant remember exactly which SBF file i did used from the list, i think that could be the Claro Latin America´s file.

Actually i can change the android version using the RSD lite system...
But none work :S
It is just stuck in the bootloader screen
does the battery charge when turned off?
problem...
i dont know if this is being charged when is turned off, but the battery works fine, it is on during all the process with the RSD lite...
try to boot into boatloader modus ,
If it says battery low cannot program you know what's wrong
If your battery don't charge use McGiver trick ,other battery or else
If it don't boot after flash with rsd
Factory reset from stock recovery would solve your problem

The problem might be the SBF you flashed.
Just try to get the details about the SBF you flashed.. At least the CG version.

I did flashed my defy with this sbf version:
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF.sbf
problem...
The sbf that i flashed was this one:
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF.sbf
you have flashed the worst sbf you could have. i am afraid to say that the phone is now in dire straights.
the battery fixes dont work for that bootloader on normal defy red lense phones. the only chance you may have is to read through my thread but ultimately it may not help so please do your own research before you come knocking down my door.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836958&page=2
i havent fixed the issue but i am able to use the phone but only if the battery is pre charged. no matter what i did or what battery fix i flashed i can not get the phone to either tell me how much charge is left or get it to charge the battery and sometimes i need he mcgyver trick to even get the phone boot.
basically i still havent properly tested it but i have an external battery pack on its way and will be able to confirm one way or the other tomorrow. if it goes as i hope then i will be able to charge the battery sing an external pack put the battery in the phone and use it until it runs dry. then i can charge the battery again using the battery pack and so on and so forth.
i am using white rabbit rom which has a cm7.2 base and is really very good. it also has four battery fixes you can download and there are a few more found dotted here there and everywhere on xda. you will have to search for them. all told i tried 6 and none have fixed the issue however you may have better luck than i did.
i have been told it is fixable but i didnt find one and have given up now. if the battery pack doesnt work then i am just gonna throw it in the drawer and buy another phone.
sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Seriously.!! Why you didn't read before doing anything. Full SBFs kills the option to revert back.
Now flash that SBF again, see if you can boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset.

Go into bootloader by pressing Power button and Vol+ button
Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable
Make sure everything is OK
Locate downloaded SBF. In popup dialog press Uncompress and start flashing
If you get " Please manually power up this phone " in RSD Lite pull battery out > put your battery back > reboot into stock recovery by holding Power button and Vol- button > Choose Wipe data/cache > Choose Reboot system now
That's it, you unbricked your Defy!

actually i did understand totally what you said and if you had read the thread i linked to you would have found the answer in there but no big deal because neo.ank has spelled it out for. do that and the phone will boot again.
the problem comes after you have got the phone flashed and running again and i guess in that respect you didnt understand what i wrote.
if when you get the sbf up and running can you please post back on this thread and let us know if the battery charges and is registered as being used... ie the percentage drops down after 2 hours of use from say 100 to 90 or whatever.
i am very keen to hear if your battery will work when you have the sbf flashed and running though so please do post back and confirm one way or the other. cheers and good luck.
THANKS!!!!

I have the same problem as you. It seems to be a problem with the version of clockworkmod recovery...
So update it and we will see it that solves the problem. I've just done it.
I've had a similar problem where it charges to 92% and never reaches 100%, although by chance one day my phone froze and rebooted. When it booted again it was 100%. I think it could be a glitch with the battery indicator, because it goes to 100% every time I reboot (from having just taken it off the charger) even if it wasn't at 100% before..

Xperia Arc S Offline charging with CWM

hello,
I Have a problem with offline charging. When I try to charge the Device in offline mode, the device automatically boots up. I am running this Lupus Kernel,(but a modified one from antoher post) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867265 and the newest Ultimate HD Rom 3.0.2.
I recognized, that the battery is discharging very fast. 10 % are leaving when I hear music for 40 minutes with the screen partially on. So I want to delete the batterystats.bin. But this is only doable with Offline charging ? Nevertheless I want to have Offline Battery Charging back. Tried already different methods which failed.
Thank You!
PS: Is it recommended to flash another Kernel/Rom, or is it the best Combination ?

in UHD 3.0.2, offline charging is not supported, he should add it in the next update. And for the battery calibration part, you can use an app from the play store called Battery Calibrator that can delete that file when the phone is on
EDIT: The kernel doesn't matter, it is an issue from the rom, i use vengeance kernel and i have the same issue
Press thanks if i helped

cant charge stuck at fastboot

Ok so i have searched a lot about the problem so dont ask me to use search..
i flashed 4.2.2. jellybean update on my rooted one x but formatted the system so in order to get back my apps and features, i downgraded my hboot and relocked the bootloader
now my battery got low and i am stuck at fastboot.... it cant flash/unlock bootloader...
phone now wont charge... when i connect it to charger in off state, red led starts blinking and a "charging" symbol appears... ie a battery symbol with a lightning symbol on it... left it like that for hours but phone didnt charge at all... red led still blinked and fastboot said low battery cant flash..
then i searched and FOUND THE .BAT file.... after hours of charging, the voltage fluctuated between 2700 mv and 3000 mv... did the process several times but it wont go any higher... the max voltage achieved was around 3090mv... after that the voltage decreases instead of increasing... i am stuck in fastboot from 2 days... i NEED to revive my phone.. PLEASE tell me if there is any solution to my problem..

Try it on different computers or laptops! On my pc it didn't work, but on my laptop it did. You could also try different cables. Some Chinese copies did not reach the same voltage as the official cables.

well the problem fixed without changing battery... i juct changed the cable... got a new cable and connected phone to the wall charger. after a few minutes the blinking led became solid red... after about 30 minutes the phone booted in fastboot... checked voltage.. it was around 3400+ mv...
then i used the script and in a few hours battery went to around 3620 mv and the battery too low to flash warning disappeared... at this point i unlocked bootloader and formatted /system and connected the phone to wall charger in off state... meanwhile i downloaded android revolution hd rom... waited for aroud 2-3 hours (actually the phone WAS on as the soft keys vibrated when i touched them). after that i flashed the rom and i was good to go..
PS i had downgraded my hboot so phone would not boot anyway so i had to format the system to charge it... otherwise it just booted in fastboot

good to hear you fixed your phone if you go in fastboot connect the charger and choice option power off and you will charge yor phone

d851 randomly shuts off, won't power on without charging/removing battery WHY??

Hello all,
having a really aggravating problem where I'm using my g3 where periodically I'll be using my phone (playing pokemon go usually, think it happened once while using the web browser) and the screen just shuts off and will not power on or do anything at all, totally unresponsive, no matter how long I hold the power button. I either have to pull the battery or plug it into a charger to get it to power on again.
When I plug the phone into the charger, the battery screen pops up. It shows my current percent and after some time it will boot back into system.
This wouldn't be so awful if it wasn't for the fact that there's no way to reset the damn phone when it's unresponsive without pulling the battery or charging!
Please, would anyone have ANY clues as to why this is occurring? Any logs I can check?
At the very least, is there any way to modify the boot firmware to allow me to reset the phone when it's unresponsive?
The only thing I can think of is that I replaced the battery recently. The replacement is (supposedly) genuine.
Thank you so much!
[edit] Currently using stock marshmallow that is just rooted no custom kernels or xposed (clean flash) and still having the problem but also had the problem on an older version of fulmics with an old version of xceed kernel
Sorry for the bump, but I'm really desperate for any pointers to solving this. To reiterate:
1. I'll be using my phone (touch screen is being pressed)
2. Screen suddenly shuts off, completely black, no rhyme or reason
3. Phone completely unresponsive, will not power on until battery is pulled or phone is plugged into the charger (in the case of the latter, the phone displays the battery charging screen like the phone was completely off and dead)
Please I'm desperate for any kind of help at all. The problem doesn't seem to happen while charging, only when drawing directly from battery though I generally don't use it while it's charging
I also have D851 I had the same problem as u Flash custom kernel like xceed check the andriod development page for g3 u will see it there use 4v beta mentioned on his thread u need TWRP n root for this if ur in clean stock rom ... Thank you so much for your response jinderation!
Just to clarify, you've had this issue described in the OP, but installing the exceed 4v kernel solved the problem for you?
I've installed the exceed 4v kernel so I will report back if I still have the problem.
Regards
Yes i had the same issue mine gave problem when i was rooted n xposed installed on stock kernel i havent checked it in complete stock cuz i recently bought this phone n whenever i buy a new phone i root it after flashing xceed wipe delvik cache also i no longer have random reboots of tmobile logo n no phone being complete dead to pull the battery out n place it back again ... After flashing xceed u also may need to flash super su via twrp for root download synapse from playstore apply on the lower power state mode then ur good to go
Hey everyone. I've installed the exceed 4v kernel as described in Jinderation's post and sadly I still get the shutdown / won't respond without pulling battery or charging problem .
I noticed I almost always have the problem when the battery is under 50. It NEVER happens while the phone is connected to some kind of charger.
I will be extremely grateful to anyone who can offer further advice. Is there anyway way I can run a log to catch what's causing this problem?
Also, thank you so much jinderation for taking the time to help me.
Regards
I was on the stock MM rom about a month in use for the d851 had no issues. Yesterday my phone blue screen wont power back on or no charge no nothing. Plz help!!!

Thats strange u shouldnt be having this issue on that kernel ... Here is one another solution go back to stock via restore via twrp if u had a backup in there ...n flash solid kernel ...solid kernel is best for performance try that... I played n completed Fahrenheit indigo prophecy game on that kernel no reboots or being complete dead... Try it n report back ...also buy 2 stock batteries try running them on ur phone also use geniune stock cable n charger install ampere app see how many ampere are showing when charging the value needs to be 800mah in normal
