Is my Note II N7100 or N7105? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to identify whether my phone is the LTE version of N7105 or N7100? I searched around and couldn't find any info on a way to identify between those 2 versions.
Currently I'm running this 4.1.2 Stock Rom for N7105 with zero issue, but I don't know if I'm just running a N7100 on a N7105 ROM or not.

yea but isn't that "flashable" through firmware? When my phone came with stock ROM it displayed as "T889" with no indication whether it was N7100 or N7105. After I've flashed the custom ROM it says N7105.

Both my box and underneath the battery showing only SGH-T989. there it's no info on whether it's N7100 or N7105. my guess is that it's probably N7105. but any other suggestion to find it out for sure?

"SGH-T989" is a Galaxy Sll so you mean SGH-T889
Does seem strange a to have N7100 on the box but not under the battery...

simple.. go to settings->more settings->mobile networks->Network Mode.
what are the modes u have there? if only GSM/WCDMA (Auto Mode), GSM Only, WCDMA Only.. then u have 7100.
if u have lte (dont know what samsung calls that in the settings), then u have N7105.

I own a N7105, the Setting->About should display N7105 if you own one.

That's not a decisive way to tell if its a 7105 as on my 7105 is gives 2 options under network mode
2G,3G,4G
Or
3G only
7105 isn't the only note2 variant to have a 4G band built in so seing 4G does not make it definitely a 7105
As mentioned by others it would say N7105 in the menu (like my 7105 does) if it was one.
but he's got 7100 on the box & you would assume it would say 7100 in the menu so it would be helpful for 7100 owners to clarify what theirs say in settings under "about device".

No its not meant for the ATT model. If your trying to trick or be funny, bricking a phone isnt funny since flashing this software will probably do that. Please, joking about flashing the wrong software is not a good idea. Development isnt a joking matter.
If you were serious, i wish you read the model number of the att phone and the model number in the article.

Find my mobile.

Find my mobile is like the popular find my iPhone for Apple devices except for our note 2's. I have a problem though... Apparently not supported on the ATT note? Makes no sense as its supported by the Canadian version. Here's a screen shot of the Samsung website. Anyone got it on there att phones or know how to do it? Thanks!

I use "lookout mobile"...
No idea on compatability for that application.
However. ..if a user was rooted, and either used a Canadian variant build, or set the build.prop to emulate a Canadian device it might just work. ..g

That's what in was thinking about making them think you have the Canadian version. But since its a setting that's not even on my phone... Would it create itself?

I posted the exact same thread in the Sprint forums. I am swapping to T-Mobile, but have an AT&T version. Can I flash a T-Mobile ROM and it become available?

Technically, yes.....give it a go an report back here.
It's easy to find out really.....g

what will i miss if i get the tmobile version

so basically i dont live in usa i live saudi arabia
there is this guyz who got some devices from the united states sealed and new
i will get cheaper than the i9505
so i know i will be probably missing lte due to different frequencies unless they secretly has the other bands
other than that
what is the difference between i9505 and the tmobile version what will i be missing
and some other questions:
1-is the boot loader locked ? if yes is it unlockable what are the limitations of it
2- is it possible to get rid of tmobile boot animation
3- is it possible to get rid of t mobile logo on the back using alcohol or stuff like this
4-it might sound stupid but what will happen if i flash other versions roms with the same hardware the at&t version or the i9505 or maybe the sprint one ?
any other info would be appreciated

Dont be too lazy to look into 2-3 threads. You cant find all in one thread.
Ok here is answer u need.
International version is OCTA core and our US verion is quad core. ( in simple words 8 and 4 )
1) tmobile version is bootloader unlocked . Att is not. There is no limitation after u unlock once. You can do whatever u want.
2) yes
3) never tried that but u can buy flip cover that comes with back cover.
4) you will be screwed. Dont do that. Thats why we have separate forums.

Yup you can do that if you know how to change files between att and tmobile roms. Before flashing though.
Some devs port each others roms too.
But I dony recommend that.

Working International Roms For Our AT&T Note 2

Hey folks,
Can you link to any working International Roms (if any) that are for use with our AT&T Note 2's?
Ones with the code N7105 should work. But there is no "list". Thats just the international LTE version that has identical hardware for all intents and purposes

Its also true for the i317m. Which is identical to the i317 except the bloat. And being in India i doubt it would matter if it had At&t bloat VS Rogers/Bell ect

Understand.... Just merely pointing out that you told OP to search for model number of phone, which guessing is SAMSUNG-SGH-I317, based on signature.
Way cool the i317m is online. Should mean the i317 should be up sometime soon,

might be a long wait... but you never know. Last i317 AT&T firmware posted [on Sammobile site] was in Jan2013 which was the official MA4. Seems like every update since [i.e., MC3, MK6] have been appended "updates" to current firmware. IMO, one our our stellar developer's packages is your best option.
Thanks for the quick reply, yeah I guess sticking with the xda devs sweet roms is the way to go, and with so many tw roms out already there is always so much choice
