Thunderbolt + 128 SD card + MicroSD adapter - Thunderbolt Accessories

There has been discussion on boards for other phones about using an adapter like this:
http://dx.com/p/sd-to-microsd-transflash-card-converter-module-27001
Also, people have successfully used a 64GB MicroSDXC with the Thunderbolt.
Now that the new ROM is out with great battery life, I think it could be practical to use a normal battery with the extended battery case with the SD card on top of the battery. But before dropping $100 dollars on the SD, has anyone else tried this?

The ribbon doesn't look real flexible... In order for the SD part to fit, the ribbon would end up too far to the left to go into the micro SD card slot... Unless you do the 45° fold twice, assuming you have enough space between the bezel and battery.

There are other adapters like that out there. I'm sure I can work something out with the physical mod. I'm worried about whether it will even work.

I not sure that the thunderbolt can handle anything over 64GB... and it didnt do ecen that much when it first came out if I remember correctly.

So the TB can handle a 64 gig SD card? Hmmm.

True, true. But you can't buy a 128GB phone for any amount of money.

Ebay, Amazon, buy.com. Be careful there are a lot of fakes I wouldn't get a 32g under 50$ but you can get 16g for about 30$.

Do they have these in the store? I gotta swing by this weekend and check it out.
Picked up a legit sandisk 32GB Class 4 micro SD for $35. I have a friend that gets them cheap at his job and sells them. Can't really complain the speeds are pretty good. And so far have 27 movies and still have 16gigs to go haha!

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
It doesn't really matter what brand just as long as the class is 6 or more your straight. I have a 32 gb class 6 pny and it has been perfect 2,000 songs 6 sense roms and still have more than 20 gb's left...

SD Card
Definatly worth the small cost difference for a Class 10, 16GB is reasonable, 32GB gets a little expensive. Also don't go with some name you have never heard of before, they are cheap for a reason. Bottom line you get what you pay for.

Does a sdcard come with the phone?

Just walked out of Walmart with a S2 and it came with no sdcard. Does it really not come with one?

no the phone does not come with an SD card.
Nope. Funny thing is, the fat bastard at walmart tried to accuse me of stealing them on every exchange though...
"Are you taking the 16gb cards out of all these?"
Pffff, I rock 32gb cards pal, gtfo with those lame 16gb cards from the hd2 days....

The reason why it doesn't come with an SD card is because theoretically we have 16gb of storage built in, but only about 11-12gb is accessible.

It's cheaper than T-Mobile.
Do they do rebates too?
Any drawbacks from buying from them?
I'm looking to buy this phone so I'm shopping around for the best price without a rebate.
I know Sam's or Costco have them as well, but I don't have a membership with them.

No rebates. Drawbacks? Yea, a few... The employees don't know anything, they demand the phone needs to be opened, they sometimes open the phones to play with them and sell them as new and they tried to accuse me of stealing memory cards from phones cause I exchanged 3 of them.
Buy from target, they have it for the same price and they're a better company to support.
I got a PNY 32GB class 10 from Best Buy in Washington for $69
Target, best buy, Costco seem to be the best places to buy them. Idk why Tmobile has it for 29 extra the phone gets raised to 324 dollars with taxes. Which is quite ridiculous.

Not really. You can't plug and play the extended capacity ones, you have to properly format and partition them.

How do you properly partition one. I know how to format (FAT32), but do you need to make separate partitions?

Micro Sim Card adapter

Does anyone know where to get a quality micro sim card adapter? I have a rooted Galaxy S4G as my back up phone and in case of an emergency or etc.... I want to be able to pop my some card in and keep going.... I have looked on Amazon but they all say IPhone or have bad reviews

You might want to ask this in a different gs3 forum. You are in the Sprint model forum. We don't have sim cards.

I just bought a few from eBay. $3 for a nano to micro and nano to standard.
I had bought some from eBay but the micro sim card was always so loose and hard to insert in to the phone. I decided to do a bit of research and came across http://microsim-shop.com. It is a little more expensive than those ones off eBay, however, it has corner grooves where the micro sim is firmly secure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjLk-amds9k&feature=youtube_gdata_player has more info if you wish.
