Help me please..i have been searching but can't find the settings to makes S Note sensitive to the S Pen only. In other words, if you hit the screen with your finger or the heel of your hand, you won't leave unwanted marks
At the bottom right you'll see a palm/hand sign, tap on that.

Hey does anyone know if it'd be able to make it so we can unlock the evo without any hardware use? I mean completely bypassing the button on the top and just sliding from one side of the bezel to the other like Blackberry Playbook users?
This made my head hurt.

lololol bro, i mean if you could slide your finger from one side of the screen to the other side and somehow make that unlock the evo without having to hit the button on the top
The name of the app is escaping my mind right now. But there is one where you can tap the Proximity Sensor and it will turn on the screen.
I know it's not sliding across the screen, but lets you bypass the power button. Widget locker can use any hardware key you set.
**Found it real quick...gotta love Google, right?

No prob, just click my thanks button.
It just occurred to me but the whole tap tap app has sprung lots of ideas with it, have the proximity sensor turn on the flash light with the same method, or perhaps pause/play a song or skip a song........just to name a few lol

impossible to put my hand in bottom of the phone while writing in s-note, stupid thing when you know that you can disable hand-writing and use only the s-pen, is there any way to lock the 2 tactile buttons while writing???? thanks

I was actually annoyed that I couldnt tap on the menu button and back button with the s-pen and found that there is a command for back and menu.
Open the help from your apps and choose s-pen and then commands to see it. You basically have to click on the button on the s-pen and while holding it down draw a command which is from right to left diagonally down and then to the right again for back. For menu if I recall its the top of a triangle from bottom left diagonally up then down right...I should have used my note to respond and paste an image in here

I dont think you understood me, but thanks anyway.
My question was, when i'm writing with my s-pen, i always accidentaly touch the back button, or the home or the menu button (physical and sensitive) . IS there any way to lock these buttons???????? like when watching a video and locking with power button, you canot anymore touch the home/back button, is there any way to do that in s-note? or any other apps
When I use the S Pen, the menu and back buttons are automatically disabled.
As a test, just on your home screen, hover the pen so the blue circle appears, then try and press the back and home buttons, they should not work.
Move the pen away, and they work again.
I too would prefer a way to lock the hard menu any back buttons. It is true that they don't work when the pen is in hover range but the moment it is out of hover range there is a high possibility that you hit them and they respond. It is impossible to always stay in that small range.
This feature would be really of great help when using the camera also. I keep accidentally touch the back button when trying to use the camera.

I understood the opposite of what you wanted
Mainly because as other member posted these buttons are locked while using the s pen. . However, if the s pen is not in range then they can still be pressed so you do have a point. . Maybe a customization feature in a rom. . ?? Feature request from the dev of the rom you are using?!
Well if you didn't know the s-pen shortcuts. . Now you do. .

Yea thanks
I'm not sure if that's possible but i know there's a post in the" how satisfied are you with your note 2" (or something like that) thread which has instructions on how to enable the on screen keys and disable the capacitative ones.

the problem is for me that my hand touches the back button before the pen is close enough to the screen...
stupid that there is no real setting in S-Note to disable the back + menu completly...
yeah I want that option too

that in writing phone, you have problems with writing.
forgive me for asking this question if it has already been asked.
does anyone know how to disable the back button at the bottom of the screen when using the s pen?
In the s memo. . You have a small icon at the bottom right to toggle between s pen only and both finger and s pen input

I do not know
There's a solution.
Just use app called gmd spen control. It disables all finger touches of you need it to.
You can even set it automatically to disable finger input when you pull out your spen.
(this app doesn't work on 4.4.2 yet)

Well I just got my hands on a Note II and I was wondering, is there a way to make mouse over instant using the S-Pen as a hardware mouse?
the pen work as a mouse, activate air view in s-pen settings and you can see a dot when the pen is close to the screen. If you over that dot in webpages, it works as a mouse, handy for hovering menus.

Elaborate please. i fail to understand what youre trying to achieve
just to note, it will hover even if you have Air View turned off. just that you won't see the dot.
but yes, it will act just as if you had a mouse and were hovering over an item.

what I want to do is open popup submenus in webpages. for example in newegg, in the homepage, if you put your cursor over a category a popup windows will open with all the sub categories. now, if you don't only place your cursor there but click it, it will transfer you to a different page. but to do that in android you have to hold your finger on the link, and wait for the popup to popup . so what I want is to use my s-pen as a hardware mouse.
Mine does that already. If i just hover over a menu it will automatically pop out.
As far as i know all i did was turn on airview. Everything else is stock

On my 8.4 it's power and the home button at the same time. I'd assume it should be the same for you.
Press and hold the power and Home button at the same time.
The border of the screen will go white when it's taken a screenshot
I set mine up to swipe my hand over the screen as I'm less successful with the power and home button combination.

Go into settings>device>motions and switch on palm swipe to capture. Then, for example, if you hold your device in portrait mode and swipe from right to left with your hand pointed up straight (not with your palm), this will perform a screen capture. It takes some practice at first, but I have much more success than the home>power button combo. This may not be for everyone though.
Will post a video when I have time.
