Sorry I couldn't find a direct answer anywhere.
Has anyone tried and know if Triangle away is working on the newest T-Mobile update?
No. But why wouldn't it?

Nothing has been mentioned that I know of. But if for some reason it doesn't work, one should be able to Odin back to a firmware that it does work on, use TA, then Odin back to the new firmware.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Might not work due to security patches that are contained in the update.
I was unsure if Odin would allow a complete downgrade or not to have TA work again.
I have updated to UVJC and tested triangle away and it seems to work for my phone. I'm on Frosty latest build 11.6 with built in Xone kernal.

Dude update was a radio one nothing major . most likely everything is the same just the reception, signal. It's no different when you flash all the other modems

Update = new kernel plus radio.
Triangle away is good if you use it and go back to ICS, then turn in cell to dealer...then have to come back to 4.1.1 later and have counter at 1
I used it on on with the UVJC software and worked just fine to put counter back to 0 and official
Works
I've seen the count as high as 2 since I've been flashing ROMs and updates. Went back to stock added the update and used Triangle Away to reset the count successfully. The description says it works on stock rooted ROMs.

? Just being rooted will not stop the update. In fact most paths will let you take the update and brick your phone if you actually did things like removing system apps. Luckily thats usually a soft brick.
Are you on EL29, some other Gingerbread, one of the 4.0.3/4.0.4 leaks or FF18? There hasnt been a "New OTA" in a month. If your not on FF18 and you want FF18 just odin it.
Fh13 update possibly or just sending out ff18 again.? Hmmmm
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
it's FF18 update and im on el29. I read more about it and mentioned that adobe flash will not work on ICS build and seen battery drainage from users who updated their phones. I guess I'll wait till the patches roll out if needed. Also can't flash with clockwork recovery installed. It has to be stock recovery.

LOL Flash works fine on ICS, are you sure you were not reading about Jelly Bean? Which still works in just no new installs allowed.
Besides as of today Adobe is supposed to have pulled Flash for ALL phones on all android versions that dont already have it installed
http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/14/psa-adobe-halts-new-installs-of-flash-on-android-as-of-tomorrow/
You can flash FF18 OTA, in clockworkmod, or flash the tar in odin that we had 3 weeks prior to the OTA. I flashed a tar/one click earlier for testing and someone else flashed a zip for it in clockwork mod using a safe recovery.
Taking the OTA means you loose root anyways, not sure why people think they want the OTA. With no root exploit youd have to flash an prerooted one in odin.
I tried to flash it with the original update and looked like it was going to update but after the animation showing as a box with a arrow unpacking the update it threw me into the Android with the exclamation screen. Had to battery pull and safe to say that my phone is safe and not bricked.

Well once again its going to rape you of root and the only way to get root is the same way to get rooted FF18 from where you are. Mind you the update to FF18 is not without its issues. Swype for example you have to delete its data for it to work again. Best bet is to backup your stuff and wipe it.

And no worries man, usually when there is a firmware update we will get our hands on it and have a ROM set and ready to rock before the download from kies would even finish

LMAO!!!! so so so true...
Ive never ran across this problem before with the s2 or 3. Im on the stock injected firmware and want to be able to get updates without having to odin back to stock or flashing a different recovery. How would one go about this? Sorry for thread jacking but figured others will have this question. Thanks.

The previous answers cover it. I went back to stock on my S 3 for the last official ICS update, but was really a WOT. Don't have to ODIN back to stock unless you want to run on stock.
You would probably see an Odin update (which will install the firmware and and Modem when a simple ROM flash would not) pretty soon after it is OTA'd, and you could use this and not have to have the hassle of going back to stock to get it. If it is not a complete ROM, you will have to be sure you are already updated to the firmware that the OTA would be updating.

I had my phone rooted and was on the recent jedi rom. I then tried to go back to stock and my phone got stuck at the start up screen. I downloaded the rooted with no tripping firmware and did that through odin and it worked. I then updated to the recent update for this phone , 4.1.2. My phones status says normal, but I still have super su and can't get rid of it. Did I do something wrong? I'm Trying to get back to stock so I can get it exchanged because of speaker problems.

Open the su app, go to settings, hit unroot. Wouldnt hurt to run triangle away before you do that and make sure you have stock recovery also:thumbup:

Thanks! I tried that and nothing happened, I think im going to try and flash a 100% pure att stock firmware and see if that fixes it. The one that I plash before said root in the name so that might be the problem.

So i used the Exynosabuse to to root my Sprint SPH-L900 and now it status is modified.
Everything i've tried including using triangle away won't get the modified status back to normal.
I'm on stock firmware LJC only use the exynosabuse to root but unrooted and everything.
Can i flash back the stock firmware to get rid of the modified status?
Where do i get the latest ODIN for the Sprint SPH-L900 a search brings up millions of results for many other phones.
I found a couple stock firmwares for the SP-L900 so hopefully they are what's needed for ODIN
Can i use the one click method to get it back to stock and normal status?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thank you so much.
First place i've seen anything like this.
I just unrooted my phone, and device status says official. That means its just back to how I got it from the store, and I can get the ota update, right?
When I go to about device and press software update, it will update as if I never rooted the phone, correct?
Pretty much what I'm trying to ask, my phone is back to its full original form, as if I never rooted it, right?

yes. if you have not flashed anything then your back to complete stock however if you flashed any custom rom your flash counter will have been tripped which would require you use traingle away to rest. But if all you did was root your phone with motochopper and have now unrooted it, it should be like stock

Follow this guide that I made if you want to get ota updates again. There's an issue where you probably have to wipe your internal SD. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336392
In my opinion, to get the latest update just download the official .tar rom from sammobile.com and flash it in Odin... You'll ,together, return to box state and have the most up to date official rom...
Always be careful, read read and read before you do anything...
The flash counter increases every time you use Odin to flash (e.g., a rooted kernel) even if everything else is stock. When I needed warranty exchange a few weeks ago I was forced to use Triangle Away even though I had never installed a custom ROM and had only been rooted.
