[REQ] NFC Screen Off - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Looking for a flashable zip that will allow NFC use even while the screen is locked and/or off.
Recently got some NFC tags to turn bluetooth on in my car, but its kind of defeating the purpose if I have to use my phone to enable it.
I'm on 4.2.1 currently using MMuzzy's ROM while I wait for a stable build of CM10.1
NVM, just switched to a ROM that supported this.

NFC Issue

I'm running on CM10 nightlies (up to the latest). I can't get my phone to do anything NFC related.
I have NFC enabled in settings, beam is on, and I installed Z-Device Test from the Play store and it tells me the NFC is indeed active.
I have a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 10 which I can use to beam (they beam fine to each other). I took my phone and ran it along the front and back of both the 7 and 10 and it does nothing.
I've searched but couldn't find anyone with a similar issue. I even installed NFC Enable script for JB - no dice.
Can anyone help me out? Am I missing something?
Edit: I should add that I have a Laza extended battery with NFC and I've reached out to them. I also stuck the stock battery back in just to see if it was the extended battery and still no luck.

Does it work on stock?
Nope.
Same here, no luck with Nexus 10.
running PA v2.55 for some time now and happened to notice this issue as well.
really wanna use this feature (particularly after seeing holiday TV spots) but just cast that silly notion aside, considering how much more mighty my phone is than everyone else's.
hope there's a keen solution

[Q] NFC while screen is locked / off with stock 4.2.1

Hey,
i have a Galaxy Nexus with Stock 4.2.1. I would like to use NFC when either the screen is looked or the display is turned off.
To do so I found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709586
But the NFC replacement is not starting on my Phone. Also the developer wrote at the first Thread there might be some Problems with stock 4.2.1.
Does anyone have another NFC replacement working on Stock 4.2.1?
Thanks

Is there a working Auto Airplane app for 4.2?

I really miss my auto airplane app (by DON) working up until the last couple JB updates.
Does anyone that is on the current JB N7 version have a working auto-airplane app functioning properly?
I'm fully stock not rooted.

Just use Green Power, Setting Profiles Lite, or Tasker... Never heard of what you're talking about.
No need to go into airplane mode, i assume you're just wanting to turn off wifi? Bluetooth uses zero power when not active.
I use Widgetsoid. Use airplane on my phone, not my N7 (use wifi on it). Almost infinite customization.

[Q] Recommend a ROM

I'm looking for Android 4.2.2. I use group MMS a lot at work and hate GoSMSPro. I am not the most advanced user, I have flashed ROMs before. Any recommendations? I would prefer something functional vs. something with more bells and whistles.
Android 4.2.2 AOSP roms have group message/MMS which works great. Unfortunately, there are few issues with AOSP roms, such as camera focus (there is a script by Sputnikk23 to get focus to work every time) and call log (only when dialing out, it looks as if call ends and then dials the number). These are being worked on.
If you do decide to flash one of these AOSP roms, I would recommend you turn GPS on and get a lock on whatever stock rom you are on and then going into recovery to flash the AOSP rom and GAPPS. Otherwise, GPS may not lock. Make sure to make a nandroid of whatever rom you are on as well.
I would recommend CM10.1.
Before you flash an AOSP Rom make sure you flash the teenybin through lgnpst first, it's located in the dev section. I'm running aokp and it's running flawlessly

Am I reading it right that CM10.1 is basically issue free?

That depends on your definition of "basically."
Camera Focus only works on first launch. There is a script to use for launching the camera to fix this.
Camera is limited to 8MP resolution in GAPPs.
Photosphere is troublesome to get working.
Placed calls appear to end as soon as they start, but the call goes through.
Using Android Beam to transfer files via bluetooth complains that a valid SIM card is not inserted, which required me to reboot each time it was used in order to once again access network or wifi data.
Bluetooth multimedia audio is lower latency than stock, but impacts wifi bandwidth.
CPU Frequency appears to stick at 1GHz unless a third party tool is used.
Some complain that the colors in the screen appear washed out or dim.
No built-in method for configuring the behavior of the capacitive key backlight.
All this being said, the experience of using the phone with CM10.1 is superior to stock. It's just that everything that makes this phone different from the Nexus 4 doesn't work properly.

[Q] Working NFC while screen off

Is there any xposed module or modified NFC apk out there for the LG G3, which enables NFC when the screen is off?
I'd like to unlock my phone with a NFC tag without turning the screen on first.
I was searching google, reddit, xda but couldn't find anything for android 6
I'm running XenonHD if that matters.
Thanks
