Chronus? - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I just installed TWA_PRIV's 1/28 revision of CM10.1 and whenever I start my KF I get a message 'unfortunately Chronus has stopped'. Does anyone know what Chronus is? The unit is working okay, but this message is quite annoying. BTW, the ROM is amazing and super smooth...I'm sure this chronus message is on my end and nothing to do with the ROM itself, but would like to get rid of it if anyone knows how?
Thanks
Pete

Okay, so I did some searching and found the rouge app...it was a weather/time app that must have been running in the background, so I've frozen it in TB and alls well now...
Cheers

I think if you go into Manage apps, you can clear the app data for Chronus and should be fine after that.

My apps in Market

Hi everyone,
Got a bit confused now. I've installed some apps from the market and when I go to "My apps" I see a list of installed apps.
The problem is, their status is set as their price tag, like 'free', but not as 'installed' as it should be.
Those apps are still on my phone and they do run, but in this case I don't know if there's an update are not.
Is there a way to fix this, please?
I hope someone has a clue.

Have you tried to restart your phone?

Widget Problem (solved)

I'm running stock 4.0.2 and tried to install some apps with widgets. Problem is, the widgets don't show up under the widget slider.
I thought first it could be a problem that the widgets install automatic to 'sd card' and not phone memory, but couldn't find any option to move in the app info dialog, so maybe it's something different.
In the market comments there are clearly people who got it working on a galaxy nexus, so it must be something with my device?
Examples: Android Weather, World Weather Clock Widget
Any advice? Thanks!

This may not be very useful, but I had a similar issue with a widget. I uninstalled the app and re-installed from the market and then it appeared.
I tried deinstall/reinstall many times, but it didn't help.
But got it working now, a simple reboot did the trick. Ouch!
Maybe it had to do with the Market updating itself to Google Playground, didn't reboot since then.
Anyway, it's solved now. Thanks for trying to help!

MoDaCo - Google Play silly question

I installed MoDaCo gr8 and it is working perfectly (thank you Paul O'brien). Well, except for one trivial thing, the app icon doesn't behave like all other app icons. I tap the icon and go to Google Play when I go back to Home the Play icon isn't on the carosel. It never shows up on the carosel. Also, on the app page, when sorted by recent, the Play icon always stays on the bottom, even right after I use it.
I have read dozens of threads about problems getting Play to work properly, fortunately I don't have that problem, but no one has mentioned this quirk.
So the silly question, does anyone have any idea what I have done and how I can fix it? This is obviously a trivial problem but if someone knows off the top of their head I would really like to know.
I have tried wiping and reinstalling MoDaCo but that didn't change anything.

Not just that, some of the icons show up as flat grey boxes with nothing in them.
PS - Moved on to other roms after playing with this one for a while
I have no problem with Google Play. Yesterday I noticed that XDA premium got grayed but I was able to access the app. However this morning the app was gone , without any reboot. Simply re-installed and got back. It may not be from the Rom, but could be from KF 6.3

I haven't had that problem, at least not yet. I don't mind the stock KF look which is why I used this rom. Thanks for your input.

That is just as weird. I didn't notice any problems with the stock 6.3 or even after I rooted. After I rooted I installed Market/Play manually but I didn't have the full access to Play that MoDaCo provides. I have wondering if my previous install of Market may have left some residual files in there that aren't playing well with the new rom. But you could be right about it being 6.3. Thanks.

[Q] Is there a way to keep the Sound Search Widget (Google Ears) stick?

Hi guys, I'm using the Sound Search widget (Google Ears) outside US so I have to defrost it in Titanium Backup every after reboot. I also noticed that the app automatically gets frozen over time so I have to remove the widget, defrost in TiBU and add the widget to the homescreen to make it work again. I just want to ask if there's a way to stop it from being frozen over time? Is there a specific background app that locks it back again? Its fine to do the steps above everytime I reboot the phone. I just want to know if there's a way to stop it from being frozen again until I reboot my phone. Thanks.
Google Play Music has been launched in the UK and yet it still freezes the sound search widget. Is there a way of defrosting permanently?
EDIT: Running GNex 4.2 stock rooted semi-deodexed, stock kernel
I noticed that the sound search widget now remains defrosted when I upgraded to 4.2.1. Check yours if it does the same.
Can somebody post the apk for Google ears?
jelly buttery smoothness
I was using the one from the link below before I upgraded 4.2.1 ->

i have the same problem from italy. did you find a way to fix it?
upgrade to 4.2.1 don't resolve for me.
If you guys are rooted, using Package Enabler would activate it even if you do a reboot.

[Q] YouTube Widget Disappeared?

I just updated my YouTube app and noticed it removed the YouTube widget. Anyone else notice this?
Gone!
Yes, same here. YouTube Widget is gone on my Nexus 5 running stock 4.4.4. It's not even listed in the list of widgets anymore.
@Maris_ just updated the app on my phone to check and yeah your right it has vanished.
I ain't ganna update my Tablet Youtube App until they fix that. I dont get what they get by getting rid of it - Stupid decision.
Same here. I've been looking for a solution on Google but no luck...

BTW for everyone wondering whats happened ... @ChuckeeDroid @Maris_
I found out that Google have removed the Widget for the foreseable future. Reason behind it was Google claim less than 1% of youtube hits were via the widget so they have decided to get rid of it completley with no intention of returning it. Shame.
[No Widget] , Uninstall updates in settings/apps/YouTube or here is last version apk.
Guys, everybody who wants the widget back can do this 2 ways..
1. Go to settings, then app manager or applications, then click YouTube, then click uninstall updates.... Voila, you will get an older version of YouTube with the widget for your home screen.
2. If you want a more recent version, here is the apk. ver. 5.9.0.10
I attached it here, just make sure in developer settings, third party apps is checked off.. hope this helps..... Im using it.
