connect pc to internet with HD

hello!
i need a software or what ever to connect my laptop to internet with the HD.
what do i need?!?
i can connect the HD to internet. but how to share this connection with my laptop?

When you insert the USB lead you should be presented with three options.
1) - Activesync
2) - USB Drive
3) - Internet Sharing.
Choose three and then connect on the HD and it'll just work.

do i need to install a prog/cab on my HD first?!?

I'm assuming this will only work for windows based computers....
Any ideas on how I can get this working with my Linux based netbook?
Plugged my blackstone in, selected option 3 and nothing!

I don't know, for Dutty's 3.0 you had to install a cab to get it working, you'll have to go looking through your Rom's thread or ask the question there.

Um.. No idea I'm afraid.

Prefer to work over bluetooth myself. Been using it all weekend, standard ROM.

How does that work then, please?

You'll need Bluetooth PAN protocol on your laptop/desktop. Simply pair the two together, then right click your system tray icon for bluetooth and activate PAN connection.

i found the solution (for my HD)!
after connecting the HD with the option "share internet" with my PC,
i have to start the programm "internet sharing".
put in the correct provider and everything works fine

[Q] cant connect to intel pro wireless 3945 ABG WNA

I want to connect my HTC desire to a wireless hotspot provided by my wireless network adapter (intel pro wireless 3945 ABG) on my notebook. I googled for some program which can provide this for me and found Connectify, small program not very hard to use. I install it on OS Windows 7 32-bit, followed all instructions and everything went fine. When I try to search for a hotspot (named it Connectify-me) Desire actually cant see it. Also tried to connect Nokia 5800 to the same hotspot and everything went fine.
Next day I tried to make hotspot with the same program but on the other WNA (my girlfriends notebook) and actually i made a connection without problems.
My assumption is that there is some incompatibility with my WNA and Desire. Also i need to mention that on the site of the program Connectify stands that my WNA is not fully supported which means it cant act as Access Point just as a HotSpot which is not the problem for me cause im using separate internet connection over LAN.
If anyone had the same problem or know the solution, plz help.
Also it would be helpfull to tell me some other way or program that can do the same job as the above mentioned one.
Is there anyway htc desire can connect to intel pro wireless 945 ABG?
P.S. Latest version of drivers is downloaded and installed from Intel site

I'm not an expert, but I've had a similar problem with wifi and solved it using little zip file called wpa_adhoc-signed.zip, search for it on Google. Your phone need to be rooted to flash this from recovery. Also, android doesn't like WEP, use WPA or WPA-2 (at least, that's what used to be my problem).

Thank you very much. It actually helped. My phone wasnt root so i followed unlocker guide on this forum about how to do that. If anyone have the problem using the unlocker guide one can post here and i can try to help him, cause i also had some problems using it.

Root and GAPPS instruction for TCL P600
Since TCL P600, TCL P606 and Alcatel One Touch Snap 7025D are the same phones I just write about TCL P600 now. But it's working for both.

HowTo Root TCL P600:
- Extract the file
- Start the flash tool in extracted folder
- Make sure under options it is choosen “with battery”
- In FlashTool load scatter file contained in folder
- Click checkboxes of BOOTIMG and RECOVERY
- Doubleclick on BOOTIMG and refer to TCL-P600_130417__boot_patched_130508-162244.img
- Doubleclick on RECOVERY and refer to TCL-P600_130417__recovery_130508-162244.img
- Switch off mobile and unplug it from usb
- Click “download” in flash tool
- Plug in usb in phone
- If you get a green circle from flash tool saying OK you’re ready with root shell
- Unplug phone and reboot into CWM
- Start Droidtools and plugin usb to phone again
- Install superuser of your choice into phone.
- Ready – you have full root to phone.
If you experience any problems please check if you used the right drivers. Please check drivers attached in folders. Only use them.

Full instruction of getting a well working TCL P600:
1. First of all I updated the phone with TCL updater to the latest firmware.
2. I rooted it as I described before.
3. I deleted lots of China Apps and also under system/media bootup sounds and some - for me - other stuff not needed in order to get more space on system partition.
4. I installed GAPPS through CWM. I did it with this one: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
After rebooting I got crash of google search. I ignored it and added my google account. After opening playstore then I got update for google search. After updating there is no crashing anymore.
All other gapps are working quite well. I tested GPS for the TCL P600 and was really suprised it works quite fast and accurate.
The only thing: There is no A-GPS setting. Let's say: There is no GPS setting at all. You can only switch GPS on and off. Settings are not included. Maybe this will be unlocked with a modded rom.
I'm now testing all functions in detail but up to now it works really great.
Hope you got it also up to this point. After all steps this phone is really perfect.

Custom Recovery
Hey i want to know if this recovery can be ported to my phone the alcatel one touch fierce it is the same as th one touch snap/7025d just without the 8mp camera and splash water proofing everything else is the same i had tried the aoutomatic port for CRR recovery but when it flashed the recovery i got a security error on my alcatel that says "error 101 unaouthorized software installed "it would not boot upand was bricked i bought the same phone again and i am wondering how y'all ported it to the fierces sister phone the one touch snap .thanks and have a great day

I don't know about porting possibility. I guess there is no way. This thread is not about changing the ROM but just how to root the TCL. There is no custom ROM out actually. So I don't see chances to port. Why should this be necessary? Is the stock ROM having problems?

the keyboard works, after loading another

NO i just want to see if thos recovery could work in the case that ne2w rom development would occur and to create a backup for people who need it that is why i wanted to see if it could be ported

Solved the problems
Solved the problems.
I was able to upgrade wiht "TCL 2.7.4 Updater Setup.exe" the mobile software, I had the "TCL 2.7.9 Updater Setup.exe" version and this version told me it was updated. When I tested with 2.7.4 has recharged my sw and have gone back to the top, I rooted again with wiemerd instructions and now everything has worked correctly.
Thank you for your instructions and weimerd Sixpenny by spend "TCL S 2.7.4 Updater Setup.exe" saved me.

Yeah this root will work if not try kingo root its great plus its one click just t urn on debugging. And make sure that your pc recognizes the phone also try motochopper

Thank you, i will try. I must install some other version of OS, official is fully bugged. After i used ROMs from xda for last 2 years, on my old phone, i forgot how bugged is official android.
There are so much crashes with official version, corupted SD card and so on...

please help me. after reflashing of my rom with flash tool. i have lost my imei and i have not done backup of my efs. my alcatel ot 7025d can't recognize any sim. i need efs backup or way to solve of my problem. i live in ivory coast there are not alcatel sav in this country.

I used kingo for root. Its really one click root tool. If your phone is rooted, you can restore to default. You can try to restore it with that tool.

I have huge problem with this phone. There is all the time problem with memory card. I am using kingston class 10, 16gb memory but from time to time, after i take some picture or use default gallery, i get message that my memory card is corrupted. I need to restart phone and everything is ok, but sometimes it require even 3-5-7 restarts and its really anoying. Cant take pictures, use ringtone from memory cartd etc.
I tried with official updater but still use 4.2.1 version. Anyone have any newer custom rom?
Sorry for off topic but i am sure that this problems can be solved with some newer OS.

Yes, buy new card I tried million things, formatted card using computer, phone, different phone etc. At the end, i bought new card and there is no problems at all. I give my card to my gf and she is using card without problem for last half year.

Help with Amazon Fire TV Stick

Hi All.
I am looking for some guidance/assistance please. I bought a fire stick a long time ago and then went on to install Kodi on the device. After not using the device for a few weeks after I then thought it was lost. I have recently found the firestick and was hoping to do a full factory reset, the only issues are (and this is where I need help please) I have changed my internet provider, had a new laptop and forgotten the pin to the device. Is there any way of being able to reset the device? It doesn't even show the new internet provider when scanning for a new network, it doesn't display any.
Any help is appreciated

If you are on a rootable software version there is something you can do.
I had the same issue with I fire stick i bought off ebay.
So if your on a rootable software version what you need to do is root your Fire stick with Kingoroot, then after you are rooted you need to disable the parental controls.
Im unsure of the commands needed if you are going to do this through adb but the way i managed was to install Titanium Backup and navigate to anything related to parental controls and freeze the services.
This will now allow you to change any settings without a pin.
Dont forget to disable updates using method 1 on AFTVNEWS site, so not to lose root as when you connect to your Internet it will automatically download then attempt to update.
Safest way to accomplish this would be to have the fire stick plugged into a laptops usb 2.0 port for power, as usb 2.0 gives 500ma max, and fire stick dont like being plugged into this and wont update automatically.

once i connect them to tv all i get is waiting for an update . and stuck on that message .
i don't get registration screen . nothing . just keep saying waiting for an update .
unplug the power plug again the first thing i get is the update screen and stay like that .
so i have no way of registering them .
any help i can pass that or register or factory setting . and help to revive my firetv and fire stick .

Try holding down Right + the back button on the firestick remote for 10 seconds. This will invoke the factory reset options on your firestick.

the fire stick or fire tv both new from the box stuck on update screen
they are not registered yet .
there is no way to register them . need to pass the first screen update first which don't happen .
rooted or no rooted i did not get to that point .
just want my firestivck to boot normal and get the home screen thank you

Sorry, misread the Wifi part. Are you sure you are not blocking any Amazon HTTP/HTTPS addresses thru your Router ? I, in the past have had problems getting thru the first boot up & update screen when blocking Amazon addresses. You might have to try to do the disable internet for that device at a specific time if your still trying to keep a Root option.

Not when you don't have a custom recovery like TWRP installed. If that was possible then folks that are on stock ROMS would be able to update before it's their devices turn in the new update queue.
When you first bootup your device. After the white Amazon logo but before the color Amazon logo. Do you see any reference to TWRP or some. Like a none Amazon splashscreen ?
I would call Amazon support again & ask them if there is a way to do a full Factory Reset from before it gets to the update page. I think there must be a way since it does probably have a stock recovery. Maybe a few Factory Resets will help with things. If you have access to a different internet network. You can try to get it to boot there. Maybe there is something on your current network causing a problem.
There are so many possible reasons for you problem that at this point you are just trying to get luckly & hope something works. Good Luck.

no reference to TWRP. normal boot no sign of anything .
i did many times force factory reset by remote but after the boot same error hung on update screen .

Previous owner must of borked the update or maybe turned off the Wifi setting some how. And since there is no ADB access there is no way to clear that. When the device stalls on update. See if your Router is still assigning an IP address for it. Then try to see if you can ADB to that IP address.
I would pester Amazon everyday to try to get some replacements. Probably your best bet.

Your router or modem hybrid should have a way to log into & see a list of what is connected by device & IP.

Is your router set to restrict access by MAC ? Is your router DHCP disabled?

Hello I have brought firesticks from a seller on Facebook and they are all stuck on the sorry can't find an update I have done the rest and unplug it so many times still nothing is there a way to bypass this I called Amazon and they said they wouldn't be able to do anything which sucks so is there a way to get past this or somehow update it so I can get them to work

Ok! I have buy a new sealed Fire TV stick 2 that was reported lost/stolen! No way to bypass the update screen after connecting to internet, the device is blocked by amazon. I find a way to go to settings and check ADB Debuging and Unknown Application.
I have installed Amazon remote on my smartphone, after connecting to internet and display the error can't update i have pair my phone with the stick and press SETTINGS on my application.
After i have connected with adb from my pc
