How many backup you make?go to settings /storage and see where is your last memory.

Make a backup of ur internal SD on ur PC and formate ur internal SD card. I had the same when I bought it from someone. Not a lot apps where on the phone but had low space. I formatted and now I have more than 8 gig free with almost the same apps on it when I first got it. Hope this will help 4 u. Good luck brah

Somebody mentioned in another thread, the demo phone units had only 5GB of storage.

I saw some forum also that some people get the demo set and only have 5gb storage

You basically have to start to delete stuff you don't need. Go to system settings and storage and start from there. You can actually move apps to the sd card. There's a hack in the development section posted by zedomax. I haven't tried it but you can check it out. Make sure you carefully read the instructions.

The app2sd hack works I have my 32GB memory card on my internal storage and get to have a lot more applications and everything really if u can also have a formatted micro sd card in fat 32 then install highonandroid and when it boots up u will see ur sd card as your internal storage I think you cab go as high as 64gb haven't tried but 32gb confirmed for me hope this helps

Can you please provide a link or more info on the hack? I ask because there are more than one hack and I haven't been able to find one that works. Thanks!

Link2SD problem

What does the following error in link2SD mean?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I have enough space on my partition so I don't understand the problem
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
not sure but i am having problems also with 64gb sd so i would probably think it's the same with too big partition, it's advised to be less than 1GB
hopefully it sorts out the problem after testing
Sorry this maybe off topic but undisputed guy what rom you using? And how did you remove am/pm from status bar
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I'm using Gin2JB. I think AM/PM goes once you change it to 24 hour time format

The strange thing is that I had it working fine but then I wiped my partition (not before moving the apps2SD) because it was full and now it doesn't work

How I that that rom for gaming against nxt le because I use nxt le with a visualization mod wich makes it look alot better is gin2jb just gb themed to look nicer?
And haha how stupid of me not to realise that lol thanks mate
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Gin2JB is just gingerbread themed to look like Jellybean. It works well and gaming is smooth although I do experience bad lag on some games such as the amazing Spider-Man. Not sure how it compares to NXT as I've not used it.
Regarding link2SD, I got everything linked eventually by persisting but then saw that my 1.5GB partition was somehow full which I didn't understand. I don't get how apps could take up over 1.5GB so I decided to move everything back onto the SD card and try linking them again. Don't really know what I was thinking. This led to the phone displaying and having less than 1mb internal storage which meant I could barely do anything. I moved 2apps to the SD card from settings to free up some memory but I don't know why it did that as I already moved them to SD using link2SD.
Anyways, my problem currently is why my whole 1.5GB is being filled up? Why is it taking that much storage?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Less than 1GB partion? Oh Dear.. My partion's 2.5GB and its fine. Im running a 32gb SD though and my phone decided to move all of my apps back to internal storage.. Sigh. And I dont think its booting up anymore. >.<

I had a 2GB partition on my 32GB SD but this 64GB card is causing problems without a partition.
Is it normal for a 1.5GB partition to be filled up using only link2sd?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
Well, My partitions 2.5GB with only 0.9GB space left. So I think ive used 1.6GB alone. >.< I only have 404 apps altogether according to Link2SD (Including System Crap)
Thanks for the reply. Looks like i need to make my partition bigger then.
On a slightly related note, why isn't TB restoring my missing apps with data? It either fails or says the batch restore is finished yet i have nothing. I just need tetris and bruce lee as they can't be had from the play store

This problem is really important and no one of moderators here focus on it
is it normal to lose millions of GB's of data with that fault !!!!! it's really important to share discussions about it

Moderators aren't here to make sure every question is answered, nor do they know every answer. They're here to mostly make sure people play nicely and things are posted in the proper areas.

I didn't say that moderators should have an answer....i said that moderators should focus on that problem and share it till we all find a solution for it..
I think before you teach me how to ask a smart question...you need first to learn how to read and understand other's questions !!!

This is the same old old old problem from the module called "MediaServer" , The service mediaserver (media scanner) can go infinite loop while scanning some wrong media files on your SD Card. High CPU causing very short battery life for other phone users. And nonstop sdcard operations can cause bad blocks. And the "wear leveling" will help to distribute the bad blocks randomly anywhere on your card and soon all files will mess up.
the walk around is, check all your media files on pc, or copy them back to your phone slowly, while monitoring if there is a hang.
it seems that android system developers maybe find it hard to duplicate the problem or something. its on the bugs list. No one have a fix so far.

No sd swap available but if you're rooted you can install link2sd which installs pretty much everything to the sd (including data files that are normally installed on internal) meaning you save all internal space. I have hundreds of apps installed and still have around 200mb internal storage free.

[Q] sd card help please

I rooted my s4 but I have no clue how to move anything to the micro sd card its 32 gigs class 4 I bought music from the playstore and some apps and just want to move it to the sd. This is my first android I had ipod/iphones before this
Welcome to Android
First off, congrats on the switch to Android. I personally believe you won't want to go back to iPhone. With that said, I don't have my S4 yet, but if it's anything like other Androids, you can use a file app (I use Astro) and move any files back and forward as you see fit. You can also mount the phone to a PC and move it that way or put the SD card itself in the PC. If your filling up the whole 32GB or a lot of data, the fastest would probly be mounting the SD card itself into the PC.
Hope this helps, but then again.... I'm still waiting for the S4 to release in my area.
I found a way to move the music to sd card just not apps I think they made it harder to move because no apps I download do it but ill try astro. Ipod/iphone jailbreaking is simpler lol.

Not if you plan to install games.
I have a 32gb iPhone 5 and have at least 17gbs in games alone.
I'm also looking for a way to install apps on the SD card.
I haven't open my GS4 yet so I can return it incase we can't.
600+ for a 9GB is a not good.
@@@use " link2sd " application...download from play store...its not only let u too move apps to sd...and u can also uninstall unwanted system apps if u [email protected]@@
