[Q] some problems in ics 4.0 build by KeiranFTW..??

hey guyss..i hv installed ics android 4.0.1 as build by KeiranFTW..this is the bestest rom..
if all the problems will fix this will be the best rom and my daily rom..but i am facing some problems with it..first, the keyboard is not fully shown on the screen, it is half hidden..second, camera is not working..it says cannot connect to camera..third, bluetooth is not working
so can u plz tell me how to fix these problems..!!

!!!!!!!Mmmmmm the bestest rom!!!!!! Your opinion i guess,me I prefer a rom with full functionality.
P.s no such word as bestest and you should go to rom dev section and ask the developer!! For your answers.

only just seen this +1 scratch the only thing i cant seem to get my phone doing on cm7 is getting up and walking on its own lol.

You have to wipe and then flash the ROM - I think Keirans was the one with the best functionality

yes i am im always on 4g and i was on De-odexed and same problem and now on odexed ... and still the same problem and i dont know what to do ?? and are you having problems with it ... if not can you tell me how to fix this problem .

No problems but I just saw your other post about tethering and I don't put that kind of demand on 4g.
What I can try maybe is tethering my laptop and seeing if its a demand issue.
Have you posted in the wicked thread to see if those doing the rom dev have any thoughts ?

There's a known issue with TW based ROM's where when using 4G there are random reboots. We're all hoping it gets fixed with the final release.

Videotron SGH-T999V rerty no connection

Has anyone else here notice or know how to fix. the verry frequent "No connection error / retry" when using 3/4g in the play store a a few others application too?
I don't have problem on WIFI and when the problems occured, i have of course the 3g/4g active...
It does this even after factory reset since day one...

Never happened here...

because 1 of my friend can confirm that this is happening almost everything when hes not on wifi..

yeah, same issue for me

not quite sure ... but i think i had this issue on stock rom ... i'm gonna do some test late tonight and tomorrow and give feedback !

I called videotron 3 time and 1 of them finally found a ticket for this for investigation.

Also th eproblem doesnt happen when Using CM10.... so its firmware/ os bug

Do you get sometime a "gateway timeout" message when surfing on the web ? (on 4G)
I'm a bit pissed about that

oh mine on Wifi is perfect . its really is just when using the 3g/4g network.
Anyway like I said earlier It is a firmware bug becasue the issue is not present with CM10.

Well it happens to me on every rom so im pretty sure mine is hardware related i also changed my internet provider to videotron not sure if it can mean anything..
But my iphone 4s is working whit no issues on the home network...

I'm on exajoule and after some testing, I didn't get any connections error. So like state above.... Probably a os bug.

So far i tried cm10 , aokp jb , frostyics, stock rooted ... all the same results..

Maybe you could try to go in recovery and fix permissions? Don't know If that could help.... Won't hurt definitively.
Are you running the latest play store build?

To my knowledge you do have a problem and I don't. Same phone same carrier..... If you're not willing to try to fix your problem yourself and put the blame on vdt or the hardware.... Good luck my friend.

Galaxy Ace IIx: Any Custom ROMs or Devs?

I realize this is a forum for a completely different phone, but as there isn't one for the Ace IIx, I was wondering if there are any custom ROMs for this phone. Or for that matter, any developers. I was specifically looking to get CyanogenMod on here, or Jelly Bean, as I don't predict this phone will get an update anytime soon.

With ICS sources you can build CM 9. 10.1 too if you're good.
So far, no one from Ace II has tried building CM. As for custom roms, if you have your phone's system.img.md5 then I think we can make a debloated rom or even with a few other features.
Kernel dev would be Hafiz. You should know that if you want help for a kernel, you should be willing to test it. No worries, it wont brick.

Whoops, accidentally thanked you. Though I guess you could interpret that as agreeing with your sarcasm.
Considering any phone with "M" at the end of its model number is Canadian... we are the only ones with this phone, and apparently 90% of the world is unwilling to even learn how to use technology, so...
Why do we always get ripped off? They don't even have the decency to give us a phone on equal footing with the rest of the freaking world. Gah.

CM9 sources... and a device tree. I think I could try building a ROM with one of the guides floating around on the Internet, but a device tree? Got no clue.
As for the custom ROM that's not CM and kernel, are you saying some Ace II devs would be willing to help? Our devices are so different though.

Maybr they will. If they are not busy and since they're building blind, you who own the phone should be willing to test (or make the sacrifice)

Of course some of us would test. I do have a backup phone, but it is a far worse phone than this one (ironically it now has CM10.1 on it, though it's not as fast as CM7.2 was). Would simply popping in my SIM to my old phone restore its functionality if it's still locked to the same carrier?

I know that there are custom rom..but these are not stable , these have a lot of bugs..

Dual Booting like in S3 ?

I believe that Note 2 can be dualbooted just like the s3... Siyah Kernel for S3 was just awesome... But sadly note 2 doesnt have a kernel which supports dualboot yet... I wish someone would do that for note 2 too... The thing is that I dont wish to flash a custom rom loosing all the Spen features.. If dual booting was possible like in the siyah kernel I could switch roms and never worry of losing the Spen functions again...
How many would like to see a dual boot kernel for NOTE2 ??
