This is at least the fourth thread I've seen asking this...I know this will sound annoying, but search just in the Q&A forum for "multiwindow" and you should find it, there were some roms mentioned that had it but I'm not sure if anyone mentioned a CM10.1 nightly
@Whiplashh Its not a TW feature the galaxy nexus has it and its pure google android

Pretty sure the galaxy nexus calls it multiview instead of multiwindow and the apks and files are different. Multiwindow in the note 2 is part of the tw frameworks as well as its apk and it won't work without the files in tw frameworks and the frameworks folder. Multiview I believe is the android alternative that was included in 4.2.x for the nexus 4/optimus g

I don't follow this comment. Paranoid Android Rom and FreeGS3 are no where near the same type of rom.

I've ported it to the AT&T S3 but haven't made a thread for it yet because I have one bug left in it, call audio doesn't work. I could port it to the Sprint S3 and upload it in this thread if anyone wants to test it. Call audio should be the only bug, well if there's any bugs in CM10 those will be present too.

The more ROMs the better
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
well im personally using aokp right now. it takes care of a lot of the cm10 bugs and it has a few customizations that i really enjoy already baked in (i.e. center clock and circlemod battery). the main reason i want the paranoid android is the in depth ui changing. and with jellybean now having 3 different uis baked in id love to go through and tinker with all of that. i really want the 7inch notification bar ui and the tablet camera ui ( i love the option wheel look). but just like it was mentioned earlier, more roms is never a bad thing but the only way i see me giving up aokp is for some PA love lol
Yup it is pretty badass

Yeah it would be very nice to have a flash zip mod for all TW jb roms!!

Rooted Galaxy s3 alive and well!
Right just a flashable zip. I don't want the whole Rom.
I appreciate the guys who aren't so sensitive when I just asked a question.
And I did search first. That's why I started this thread.

All I can say is don't start. People just can't say search first when some stuff is difficult to find or doesn't exist. Be helpful, don't start up a fight.
Back onto the topic.
I think it would be a good idea, but I think it's more complicated than just an apk. Has to be built into the whole set up you have
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
There aren't any zip files but sac23 unofficial synergy ROM port has it working perfectly and it's awesome  the ROM is buggy though
Its not just an apk it requires mods to the frameworks it's not something you can just flash to a rom ot has to be hardcoded into the frameworks and a few other areas.

When will the Sprint GS3 Receive 4.2/Premium Suite?

What do you all think?
Most likely after s4 releases. Not to be rude, but threads like this are made up all the time, and locked. There is already a thread titled "premium suite update poll".
Look for it in general and ask there.

Multi View mod.. huh?!?
And after 1 Google Search- is this what you're talking about? If so, I am not running a 4.1.2 ROM nor am I running a Samsung (TouchWiz) based ROM, so it won't work for me :/
If that's NOT what you're talking about, please let me know lol.
EDIT: Nevermind that can't be what you are talking about because it's from January lol. So can you please point me to what Multi-View mod you are talking about? Hopefully it works with AOSP ROMs!
Found it...
Pretty sure this won't work on my ROM though :/

Yes I hear you.:beer: I guess if its a known issue why is it not in the OP?
People didn't seem this quick to yell in the epic ROM threads.
But the same thing happend with Bluetooth on the OG Epic and Android 4.2.2 the driver stack broke BT, but it was not always listed in the op.
But I'll become a helpful S3 forum member as i learn more.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
It's wouldn't be in the OP, because HDMI mirroring has to be supported at the kernel level for it to be present at all. It has absolutely nothing to do with the rom.
I think this is why you're not getting any straight answers because you're asking the wrong question.

Devs don't add this to their OPs because it's not a ROM related issue. In fact it's not really an issue at all. The simple fact is that vanilla android, also known as AOSP does not support HDMI-out and with that said there's no need for any OP to state that HDMI-out isn't supported because it's known across the board with AOSP. This also includes the Google Nexus devices since they have no manufacture overlays and are pure vanilla android, which is why I suggested looking into Slimports because I heard they provided HDMI-out support for some Nexus devices but don't hold me to it as I never purchased one so I'm not sure if that logic is true. If so, they might work on othe oem devices running AOSP ROMs but again don't hold me to that. You should look into it though.

I understand kernel vs rom. But IMHO if a device does not do x (Hdmi bt etc...) that it did stock it should be said just for the fact that there Would be less confusion (noobs & new ppl to said device)
I don't even have an HDMI thingy, but i would like to use it at my one friends house
Thanks guys for clearing that up for me

It might be known across the board to devs that HDMI mirroring is not supported by AOSP, but the majority of people are ROM users who wouldn't know that. It should be stated in the OP of every AOSP ROM, otherwise their threads are gonna get filled with these types of questions. Thanks for the info though, knowing is half the battle. However, I seem to remember running a few different AOSP ROMs on my GNex that did support HDMI out, not just Slim ROMs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Touchwiz is not an easy thing to tinker with.....plus it seems here that the majority of people don't care for it......so the demand for it is very low. In fact, there's only like 3 or so custom touchwiz jb roms...vs tonnes of aosp.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
You cant port something without a base...we don't have a base for 4.2 touchwiz yet so we cant get s4 roms. Also like @kj2112 said its not easy....have you ever wondered why a touchwiz rom is 3 times larger than an aosp rom with gapps baked in?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Also....custom tw roms only have a few extra options usually....cause there is really only so much you can do with them.
Check out xposed. There's a lot you can customize with it. Just do a good nandroid first. Sometimes I find exposed can mess things up.
