I am trying to do the OTA update of Jellybean for my at&t Galaxy SIII. I used a tool box to install custom recovery and root. Everytime i go to install the over the air update it take me to CWM recovery and i get a signature error. Can anyone help me with this, Does this have something to do with the software i installed to root my device?

I thought if your rooted the offical image won't work because you need the samsung recovery? i could be wrong, but if you want the jellybean rom why not a just flash an official rom with root injected? I can link you one and if you follow the directions you'll have a stock Jellybean Touchwiz rom with root injected but you have to flash it via odin.

I rooted using the easy root for the OTA 1.47 and my new build is 1.17. I figured i was rooted. I downloaded Rom manager from the market but it wont let me flash or even download clockwork so i can do a recovery rom so i can flaxh custom roms....... help please NOOOOBIE.
use the simple root ota 1.47 to flash a recovery or use the first part of taostcfh's root method part 2 to flash a recovery

i would like to root my phone but would still like to receive stock ics when it comes out, but i read if you are rooted and have CWM you wont get OTA updates so i was wondering is there a way to root only. i found this (link at bottom) would it just root and not install anything else?

well, most of the ROMs are based off stock, and will probably get the upate notification. However, you might have troubles updating through OTA because of this..
You can:
update through kies
flash a deodexed and rooted stock ICS ROM when released for t989
flash stock build through odin.
I would just flash a rooted rom to make like easier.
I have searched first no luck however maybe someone can help me out.
I currently have the Galaxy S3 i747 running cwm recovery (did the option to disable the stock recovery from reseting). Right now i am running on 10.2.1 cm. Firmware is i747ucuemjb
here is my question... i know that there is a newer baseband firmware out for kitkat.. in the near future when there is a stable non snapshot cm11 id like to move over to that.
Can my current jelly bean run on the newer firmware that came out with the kitkat update?
is there an easier way to update my firmware to this than going back to stock?
the cwm recovery is would stop that if that is the only route so what to do about that and get the stock recovery back?
if the newer firmware wouldn't effect me running jelly bean id like to update it however.. id rather not go all the way back to a stock device in order to achieve this.
I have samsung kies and odin on my laptop that i used to flash cwm and am familier with its use.
anyone point me on the right path here?

I haven't really used Kies too much earlier. I prefer using rooted stock ROM and I know that if I have stock recovery I can get updates with Kies. Is it possible to install updates with Kies if I flash also custom recovery or do you need to have stock one for that?
Additionally, how do you need to modify stock ROM images from sammobile to make then non-wipe ROMs. Is there instructions somewhere to get started?
Hi awesome peoples! anyone happen to know a healthy rom without any aggravating bugs and a link with the best way to install a recovery? My phone is a sprint SPH-L520 its on 4.2.2 right now not rooted yet. It's asking me to update though on firmware na7.
Um once I root with odin can I use flashify to flash the recovery from the 12.1 thread? I don't know how to convert a .img to a tar to get it working in odin. I don't want to experiment with my phone please someone stop me if this will mess it up.
