[Q] Miui Exchange Sync - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I am running [ROM] [ICS] Unofficial Multilang MIUI4 - v 2.12.29. I am unable to sync with my corp. Exchange servers. Screen keeps asking for password security. No matter what password I use, (ie. number, letters with long combos) it does not work. I am not new to the game and have set this up on many ROM's. CM7, 9, 10 and Viper rom's and still this has been the most difficult. I have looked and searched for a bug about this and would really like to get this rom working. Didn't really want to go back to MROM, but it has been the most stable for me w/ extras. Any help would be appreciated.

[Q]CM9 RC2K3 - Apps closing

Hey,
Ive installed the CyanogenMod 9 RC2 with Kernel 3.x to my G2 yesterday.
But i still have problems with the most apps like facebook, whatsapp, maps, etc
They are always closing on error when i open up a new app or unlocking the lockscreen.
The apps from gapps wont even start up, like facebook maps or even the clock (but just when
I go to alarms). They instantly closes on starting.
In the developerthread they all say everything works fine.
Ive updatet from CM 7.2 (latest stable) and wiped cache and everything already
And tried so reflash gapps.
Is RC2 still too early? Other forummembers say, its working fine.
Thanks for help,
KnighToFdemonS
The easiest solution is not to use the 3.0 kernel with Jerl's Unofficial CM9. In my opinion he made a poor decision offering the 3.0 kernel from Flinny's jelly bean test builds with that unofficial copy of CM9, which has too many problems right now if not debugged properly.
RC2 isn't too early, for example Mimicry (in my signature) uses the latest Cyanogenmod9 source straight from their git head along with the andromadus changes, and works just fine. It's not using the 3.0 kernel, but then of course neither is Cyanogenmod 9 Official.

[Q] Best 4.x ROM for everyday usage

Hello everybody,
I have HTC DHD and I was very sad whne HTC decided not to release ICS for it.
I am running 2.3.3 cooked by user Seraphic which means stock ROM with these modification applied
This rom has the following applied to it:
* Rooted
* Zipaligned

Click to collapse
Basically I want stock ROM but rooted.
Overall I am very happy with stock but there is 1 thing that I miss from ICS release and that is Gtalk for multiple account at the same time, which is not available in Gingerbread.
I don't want experimental unstable builds that have a lot of features not working
Can you suggest me a ICS ROM that has almost everything working that worked in stock ROMs please?
Ideally something looking stock with the stability and features of stock ICS and root access.
Thank you for your suggestions in advance

I don't use GTALK for multiple account, but virtuous infinity is the best rom i have ever had ... and, trust me, I try a lot of ROMS
Try it and enjoy!

+1 for that if you like sense
For Sense 3.6, I'd recommend Blackout and for Sense 4, try Sabsa Prime. Virtuous Infinity is great as well but I find it laggy for me although I haven't tried it yet with the new kernel. I've tried most of the ICS roms currently available and find Ice Cold Sandwich works the best for me. Its really a matter of personal preference.
thanks for your answers
do most features work in those suggested roms? (e.g. Camera and Camcorder, ... ?)
Each ROM has their own set of unique bugs. For example, Blackout has a known Hotspot problem which may or may not have been fixed. I don't have a data plan and just use WIFI as its readily available where I am located so the Hotspot is not an issue for me. Sabsa Prime 6.5 should have the Camera/Camcorder fixed from previous versions. If not search the thread for an earlier version camera fix. Just don't ask for it as it is a touchy subject.
If you plan to try Virtuous Infinity, install V1.33.0 Alpha 3 first and then install the OTA updater to get to V1.35.0 Beta 1. I found most features worked better (i.e adding certain widgets to the home screen) for me using this method rather than installing V1.35.0 Beta 1 by itself.
Ics: I would go with ice cold sandwich (lord clokan)
Jelly bean: jellytime r 15 (randomblade).
Ice cold sandwich its an AOKP - Rom, which means that it has allot more options.

i have triend many sense and other roms. all sense roms are slower as compared to aokp ones.
ice cold sandwich 8.7 is best .
BUT camera works better in sense roms.
blackout ics is the one i will prefer if i want perfect camera result nd ice cold sandwich if i am not to keen about the result of the camera

CM 9.1

Hi all,
I'm interested in trying out CM 9.1 seeing that theres a stable build out. I've never used AOSP based ROMS before, only TW simply because I rely on WiFi calling. However, I can overlook that seeing that (correct me if I'm wrong) CM 9.1 has amazing battery life and is rock solid. I'm not quite sure how to go about flashing it. I did a search and didn't find anything. Do I need GAAPS? & what is that ?
Some insight on this would highly be appreciated.
You flash as any other ROM. Coming from TW, clean flash is a must. GAPPS is a collection of google apps you will need to log into your account. Flash it after yiu flashed the ROM. Read up in the CM9 thread for all the info you need.

GAAPS is the google frameword that lets you get access to all the google related apps and sync. You don't need it but you won't get the google stuff.
I've been running CM9.1 for about 3 weeks now and I've been kicking myself for not doing it sooner. It's great, way better battery life and less issues than I had w/ the stock TW build.

Yes, try official CyanogenMod 7 or some rom based on official ones from HTC. If you want a lot of free space, try SuperNova rom - here.

[Q] [HTC Desire HD] Searching kinda stable Android 4.x.x w/o Google

[HTC Desire HD]
Hello folks.
I was enjoying my Stable CM 7.2 ROM for a long time until i wanted to get some android 4/4.2 apps running on it. I tried a couple of CM 10/10.1/11 ROMs but i got allways issues (SD Card unplug / touchscreen starts doing things on its own / other little bugs) with it.
Could you guys probably recommend me an Android 4.x ROM without google implementation, i dont need any special features, only a smoothly running ROM ;D.
Any suggestions?
Thanks and best regards

Thread closed,
Best rom threads are against forum rules. Best thing to do is to simply flash different roms and try them for yourself.
Many thanks,
Ghost
