Alright, I am a little lost as to how to help my friend. He just received an Galaxy SII from Boost Mobile, and is asking me for help as to how to root it and which ROM for him to use. I came here first, only to find nothing relating to his Model (SPH-D710BST) or Build (LMM76IFI22).
So, I'm here asking for some pointers to the right direction as to what root method to use, and which ROM for a daily runner.
Currently I'm running a Verizon GSIII, and I'm familiar with Odin, which I've seen a few threads reference for the SII.
Any help would be appreciated, and I'm deeply sorry if this is all covered elsewhere.
Howdy! Questions go in the q&a section.
There is a rooted Fi22 Boost one click in Rwilco's repo in the dev section.

The sph-d710bst is identical to sph-d710 the only difference between the two is carrier bloat and APNs. You can use any rom, kernel or modem from the sprint model (sph-d710) on the boost model (sph-d710bst) the bst only specifies that its a boost branded device. Virgin Mobile also has the same exact model that's software is interchangeable as well, that's why there is no specific sub forums for those 2 device's, everything is maintained here

You can first go and search within the general or q&a section. There are about 1467356 threads of it that explains what you can do. I think even in the s2 section I posted a guide on how to get it to work with the new unlimited plan...

It's sure good that you keep the order in these forums. Things could get so messed up.
If it is at all possible, would you put a link to the thread item you move? It sometimes is ever so difficult trying to find an item in the Q&A that pertains to the thread you are trying to follow...
Thanks
Get a ROM like paranoid or codename android. They have it unblocked

Ok, i am very comfortable flashy roms now to the point where it is second nature. Now, like i use to with the OG epic, i am ready to play with kernels. Is there a sticky anywhere or a place i can go where they are easily found and compared? Thanks in advance and pardon my ignorance if i missed something...

There's only like 4 or five. It's all in the Android Original Development section. That section isn't very...crowded.
Thank you very much. I also just noticed that the goodness rom had them included in their rom!!

And as The Root said there are very few. Make sure they match your ROM whether it be AOSP or TW.
Also make sure they are for the Sprint GS3, do not flash a kernel that is not specifically for the Sprint variant.

You can try by posting in the correct section. This is the forum for the Sprint Galaxy S3 D2SPR. You will probably get better assistance in your device forum.

Hello all, I have a quick question I was wondering if someone had the answer to. I have tried searching but could not find what I was looking for. Basically I have a friend that has the Verizon variant of the Note 2, and another friend that wants a Note 2. I am trying to help them both out if possible. Now my one friend uses Sprint as his provider, and wants me to see if there is a way to flash the Verizon phone for use on Sprint with his plan so he does not have to renew his contract. I know there are stock ROM images of the each Note 2 out there. Is it possible to just flash the Sprint stock firmware, modem, etc to the phone and have it work? If not, is there another way? And finally, if it is possible, would all of the features work? Thanks so much for your help!
He can but will more than likely not have access to 4g lte on the network

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S3 LTE (SGH-T999L) from T-Mobile. Once again this is the LTE version (SGH-T999L). I was wondering if there are any custom roms that will work will this phone. Like cyanogenmod or something like that. If so can you please provide a download link. I REALLY appreciate it.
Thanks!
(-Also I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post, mods if it isn't please move it to the correct spot)

I suggest that you start by reading through the sticky threads, including my T999L FaQ thread in Q&A.
Just stick to this Tmobile S3 forum and all roms found here should work on your device.
This being a question should be put in the Q&A section. Click on the yellow triangle at the top right of your post to send a report to a mod. Just let them know you didnt know at first and ask to have the thread moved to the correct section.

XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
