Angry Birds is out!

So I see Angry Birds Beta is out on Market. For those that never had an iPhone or seen the game - its amazingly addictive and the #1 seller in that genre on iTunes.
Unfortunately the sucker FC's on my 2.2 JPC - anyone got it working?

I had to move it back and forth from the memory card a few times to get it to work

Why am I not seeing it in my market? I've searched and went to the games just in? I live in chicago, what time did it drop where you live?

Looks heavily overhyped.. Played many games which seem almost exactly the same on flash before.. Anything special about this one (didn't seem to be from the preview)

I had issues installing via market but worked via the AppBrain

I played it on an 1st gen ipod touch, but on the SGS S-AMOLED its luuurvely

Installed it just now, works amazingly, IMO it works better than the iPhone/iPod Touch version. The graphics are crisp and stunning on the SGS's screen, the game is fast and doesn't lag at all, it lags on my iPod Touch at times. Overall much more enjoyable on a 4 inch SUPER AMOLED screen
Can't wait till the full version is out, looks promising at the moment.
Oh and to the people who can't find it, get Eris Market Fix from the Market and apply it, reboot your SGS and it should be there.

I'm struggling to install this on my galaxy...i can download from the market, but it refuses to install.
I tried to pm install the file from a folder on my sdcard, but see this:
Install_failed_container_error
I'm using a lag fix, and wonder if this is contributing to the issue.
Can anyone help?

Order & Chaos Online MMORPG now on Market

The MMORPG Order & Chaos has just been released on the Android Market. Most gameloft games are pretty good, so I am thinking ahout buying it!
I thought maybe this would be a thread for people to talk about it and maybe add each other. Make a Galaxy S II XDA clan or something This game is fun for playing with friends, offcourse.
So, people that bought it: is it worth it?
Price: 5.49 euro.

I've bought Order & Chaos yesterday but I have already posted on the gameloft technical forum because the game doesn't run smoothly on the SGS2!
There are several issues:.
1. The game often freezes for 1 sec, this happens every 30 sec/1min. The game doesn't really run smoothly.
2. Opening the minimap takes 2 sec and browsing the minimap is really slow
3. In the options, asking for the ping indicator or the camera being vertically or horizontally fixed doesn't work
The gameloft custumer care has already told me that the dev team is working on these issues and apparently I'm not the only SGS2 owner who has these issues.
I hope they are going to resolve this pretty quickly (especially the freeze/lag) because the game in itself is really fun and addictive

I have same problems like you, but i have freezes for 1-2 sec every 10 sec . I hope they will fix it soon.

Wonder what they where thinking when they decided you need WiFi to play it...

This game is Huge, Massive, GODLIKE. Such an incredibly detailed game and plays beautifully. Insanely addicted. Seriously, this is World of Warcradt IN YOUR POCKET!

I just downloaded this game, it is very very nice, and with Anti Aliasing 4x (thanks Chainfire3d) The graphics take a whole new dimension.
The problem is this random stutter/freeze mentioned by everyone every zone loading.
Will wait for a fix, game looks great.

Hows this compared to pocket legends?
Its also a WoW counterpart.

This happens due to GPU not running at 267Mhz I believe but at a lower clock rate. This happens on Asphalt 6 and GangsterMiami etc.

Pocket Legends has NOTHING on O&C. This game is just something that you would never imagine possible on this sort of hardware. It's incredible.

Guess ill just have to try and buy this, unfortunatly im not able to find it on gamesloft website. I can only find it for iphone and ipad.
Cant get it from market since i dont have a credit card, jeez.

i have downloaded this game
about 20 days ago
and its really was laggy on my sgs2
i deleted it
there was alots of lags
i also have lag with gangstar 2
and with dungeon hunter 2
but the rest of gamelofts games runs smooth

Can someone tell me where the game's cache is saved? I need to manually delete mine

go to setting ==> applacation ===> manage applacation ===> then click on the game ==> then clear cache or data or what ever u want
dont forget to press thanks button if i helped

Did that and the game still runs.. Tried it with my other gameloft tittles and they all still run lol. Just the settings were reset

It can only remove the cache on YOUR PHONE; all game data (characters/maps/weapons in your inventory) is stored on the GameLoft server.

Im actually refering to the big downloaded data through wifi..

Some guys said that flashing a kernel that supports Tegrak, and installing this app might fix the freezes.
I'm on Oxygen, not really having the time to test this, but anyone on stock might give this a try and post feedback.
- install Tegrak
- OC the GPU to 257 Mhz, or find a good clock
- you might as well downclock the CPU a bit to prevent heating, 800 will be enough to run this.

Working games list

As we all know this phone has a issue with some games. I thought it would be useful to list the games that did and did not work for you. I'll start.
Working games:
Game developer story: Sound cuts out from time to time but have not had a crash with any of their games.
Myth Defense: Works with sound off. No need to change the graphics.
Muffin Knight: Works most of the time but I read reports of it crashing.
Non working games:
Dungeon Defenders: Large mobs crash it. And something about the mob coming from the left if your facing the crystals. He has his own door. Whenever I attack him the game crashes. Coding glitch maybe?
G5 stand O food 3: Crashes randomly. I doubt any G5 games will work for us.
Other notes:
I've been e-mailing developers asking them to give us a option to turn off sound instead of turning the sound down.

AdventRush - Had one non-reproducible issue. Picking the second character, after beating the first boss, the game closed without warning. Have had no issues otherwise, however.
Quell - Works fine
Doodle Jump - Works fine
Battleheart - No issues so far, haven't played much yet however.
Words Free - Works fine so far.
Godville - Works fine

Eternal Legacy
Not Working -

Spectral Souls - Looks like this crashes on the Epic 4g Touch. Pity, really, I would love to have this working on our phones.
Gameloft -
Dungeon Hunter 2 - Worked fine for around 30 minutes, then closed without warning. After re-opening the game, game closes while trying to load a save or start a new character.

Gameboid randomly crashes for me and so does Copter

Madden 12
Madden doesnt work

Plants vs. Zombies worked for about 2 levels then just crashed out of no where.
Stupid Zombies would load and give a black screen. (got it to work went through a few lvls and it seamed fine. it does have openfeint and it stalled it seamed on that. force closed the first time opened it again and I was able to get past it and actually play the game.)

Tap Sonic closes on some songs during game play.

(Now, if I can just figure out how to get 9mm to show up in 'our' market, I'll be a happy camper....
Anyone else get that game maybe sideloaded from another device?)

I can't find a working version of 9mm for our phones yet...

Dead Space works with Qualcomm driver. Samurai ii works with nvidia driver as does sprinkle with latest chainfire update.

having owned the PS vita for a short while, I found AR is quite interesting.
is there good AR apps (not maps etc), more of static objects or maybe games, that looks and feel as good as PS vita AR.

so I guess, there are no cool ar apps so far!
