This. I wish the 900 had gotten more developer interest, maybe we would be seeing something other than just stock 7.8 on this .

If it's the Tegra 3 version then all I have to say is,
Why? Why buy that at all when an S4 version will be out shortly?

There is debate right now about which is better. I will personally be waiting until mwc is done and they get proper benchmarks from both

I personally used to be a huge HTC fan. After the Vivid I think I'm done with them for a while. I like the hardware, but the little things erk me. FB info in my Google contacts notes. Their inability to keep their word with the whole locked bootloader thing.
If they are shipping 5th April then why not wait till we get proper reviews. :/
HTC decided to go with the Qualcomm quad core. YTF would u go up against a name like NVIDIA if u want to play a graffics feature. It will be Lionel (Messi) but we'll soon see.

I don't see how I am wrong. The link you posted further proves my point.
They both are great.
Krait CPU > Tegra 3 CPU
Tegra 3 GPU > Krait CPU
But Tegra 3 is more likely to have better games and better visual.
^ Give this man a medal, he gets it.
Also, if you're on AT&T the One XL is coming (LTE, Krait) soon.

Also looks like the AT&T version has only 16 GB which is kind of a deal breaker with out sd card slot.

There are only 2 phones anticipated this year. The iPhone 5 for what reason I don't know, and the SGS3. There are some HTC lovers somewhere left on this earth lol. I don't see anything else this year that I will spend my money on.

That's what even I thought initially, but I heard in couple of tech podcasts like theverge.com where they mentioned the AT&T version is only 16GB. Below is the specs from the official htc site which confirms only 16GB for the AT&T version.

Getting WP8 running on note 2

Is this possible? Getting Galaxy note 2 running WP8? I feel WP8 is a lot better than android. Anyone thinking the same thing?

That's the thing with the Note (I or II) - they are UNIQUE and every other ecosystem will be jealous until they get their own "Big Daddy" of phones

Buy the HTC HD2 and get a dual Windows/Android boot.
Also the the Exynos chip details being released, the chances of a sd card dual boot could be a reality. The type that might allow WP/Android dual boots.
get an hd2. we even got f'king meego working on it lol.
yeah HD2...my last phone before the Note 2...
No way. All windows phones use snapdragon processors. Someone would have to do some serious hacking to get it working with exynos

Has everyone seen the Samsung ATVIA? Which is similar to the Galaxy S 3.
the Nokia Lumia 920 is a gorgeous phone. If I were a big fan of Windows like the OP I would be all over that. I'd love to see Windows perform well in the smartphone market. More competition the better.
While we cannot get Windows Phone 8 on this device, we can make your phone look like Windows Phone 8. Check out Launcher 7 or Windows Phone 8 launcher. I think there is one for Windows 8 also.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I used my Note 1 with Launcher 7 almost exclusively. But it's oudated now - no small tiles, which would be great on the big screen. I'm waiting.
The Windows 8 mentioned above, if it's the same one I've tried, it's an ad fest (you get notification for ads even with adfree installed, terrible, disgusting app.

[Q] From Android to Window 8

Hi, anyone know if it is possible to switch from an Android platform to a Windows mobile 8 on the Sprint Galaxy Note 2?
No it wont happen. There is a very slim chance to actually pull it off. And we bought android phones for android. Sell your phone and get a windows phone.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
arm windows 8 is proprietary and driver locked... if you pull it off it's illegal and to pull it off you would need to write your own drivers

While I don't place all that much emphasis on benchmarks, I must admit that I was wondering why the gs4 seemed to perform so much higher than others... Doesn't take away from the fact that the phone CAN perform tasks those levels. Just that doing so on a regular basis would undoubtedly reduce battery life to some degree.
Waiting for someone to call this "benchmark-gate" or something along those lines. Or perhaps Apple will find some obscure reason to file a patent lawsuit over this..

Just the international variant. With the not so US 4G version aka snapdragon, it ramps the speeds to maximum

Hello,
Is it the New Nexus 7 released in 2013?
If yes, I am not even aware it is available yet although I did read in the news that a man from China got it by mistake while shipping it from USA.
Do not tell me that you are that guy
Well, if you have the old model, Nexus 7 2012, then you have posted this in the wrong thread.
If you have the new Nexus 7, It depends that you can run custom roms or not. No one has seen the binaries or flash images for the New Nexus 7 so I can not say it might work or not. You might have to take the risk if you still want to try.
Also, I think unless LTE is integrated with some system files, you will be cool to go and not be able to use communications but that is still highly unlikely because from the old Nexus 7 LTE model, I know the source binaries were quite different.
You can even hard brick your device.
My advice, enjoy the LTE till it is official.
I work for a mobile company in the UK. So I have a final test one. A nexus 2013 LTE.

Any word on a release date?
Can you make a nandroid of that rom beforehand and upload it?
(I would recommend against using TWRP for the moment as it has a lot of issues with nandroids, there seem to be a working CWM at the moment)

Probably never will make any voice calls, they so far go on overlaid 3g networks due to lots of upgrades required in the backhaul. Voip, ie. CSipSimple, is the way to go. And you will need a headset.
The Phone App is in the filesystem but doesn't show in the ui.
I'm hoping this will be different as it uses a different chip than the nexus 7 3g(2012)
The 2013 N7 LTE should be using a APQ8064-1AA + MDM9615A + WTR1605L,
which is very similar to the APQ8064 + MDM9615A + WTR1605L on the N4.
While it might be (hypothetically) possible for it to do so in hardware, it could still be disabled.
Both the N4 and 2013 N7's wifi/bt chips also support fm radio at the silicon level, but it's disabled at the chip level.
The LTE on the N4 is disabled at the firmware level (as the lte mod is due to leftover code, if it were not for that it doesnt have LTE period)
It could have voice calls disabled at the silicon level, chip level, firmware level, or rom level, since they can easily spec modems that have broken voice call support since it's not used in the first place.
