Mount SD card
Insert an SD card for mounting
Erase SD card
Erases all date on the phone's SD card, such as music and photos
The last two items (Mount SD card and Erase SD card) are grayed out.
Have formatted the card several times to fat32 through computer, where it works, using a memory card reader. But for example, the music widget doesnt say "please insert sd card", instead "no music found...." and when i go to the application then it says insert sd card, but not the widget. Also LeeDROID POST screen when vbooting states: "Detecting phone storage:microSD"
Has any1 had similar problem? Is there something i can try or is the card irreversably corrupted?
Try to use recovery from my signature, and repartition it. (using recovery)
canĀ“t flash it. only oneclick method would be possible, but your intructions there are confusing start runme.cmd what does that mean?
It's in the .zip file, double click it...
when i click on the .img file, powerarchiver opens. and the recovery is still the same
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=661320&stc=1&d=1311252283
Download and extract on your pc to flash while your phone is fully booted (not in recovery).
usb debugging must be on (settings/applications/development)
unzip the file
If you are on Windows: start runme.cmd // Unixfreaks start runme.sh
finished
adb server is out of date, it says. then goes into a loop
seems like i downloaded something else earlier.
It doesnt find some data/local/tmp/flash_image etc files. Plus it always complaints that adb server is out of date
I'm out of ideas sorry.

Make sure you installed android sdk correctly:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Howto:_Install_the_Android_SDK
Then turn off your phone and start it with pressed back button.
Open cmd and navigate to your android sdk folder.
Connect your phone to your computer.
In cmd enter:
Code:
fastboot devices
to make sort fastboot recognizes your phone.
If so, enter
Code:
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
Now your sd card should be recognized again.
Swyped from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
Have tried it several times. fastboot devices shows my device, but the command afterwardsgives me an bootloader command error
Amphor, why did you start a new thread on this same issue? I've given you 3 fixes for your problem...
The problem turned out to be something different from why started the first thread? Didn't it?
Does your PC see your card??
How did you fix your 1st problem btw?
Because i see your still getting bootloader errors ... the same errors you were getting in your last thread!?
The errors are the same but the problem is slighlty more accurate, i feel.
Computer recognizes the card both through card reader and through recovery "Mount USB storage"
Something problem with Android, because i tried it into an old LG with LG's own operating system and there i could view the contents of the card, for example. I had nothing on the card at that time so i couldn't test music playing, for example
Formatted i n FAT32 and i believe it's the only option

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
It's not, i was just saying that the card is formatted in FAT32 and said that it's the only file system possible, i think
gparted looks like this

edit: formatted as i always did in FAT32 and the problem disappeared. I guess that's one of those problems that solves itself

I am facing the similar problem, I am struck in FreeXperia logo on screen. Device seems to recognised.
I am facing similar problem as I have to push .zip to /sdcard/ location. After a long process I was able to see devices when I executed "adb devices". But now I can't push .zip files because of permission problems. I get Permission denied. How to fix it.. ??
Laptop should have SD card slot, insert your micro SD card into laptop SD card slot with the help of SD card adapter then put into SD card then put your micro SD card back to your phone, boot into recovery then install.
Mass Storage does not kick in

I have got Xperia S and it does not kicked even when I tried to choose mount SD Card as the option. Please help me, I am stuck at Free project Screen, because .zip (cyno Mod 9) was corrupt.
My Sd card is working fine.. but some times i cant access it using programs like media players or file explorers cuz they keep crashing ....
the only way i've found to solve this is taking out the card , restarting the phone , clearing data in media storage (system app) or even disabling it , then putting the card and resatart
Its not a permanent solution and i tried everything like formating and the card works perfectly on my pc
PS: this problem occurs in every rom and kernel even stock and am using cm 10 lupus kernel right now
: I cant keep the media storage app disabled cuz without it i cant set ringtones and my phone wont ring ..
in cwm i can access the card without problems
Plz i need help ! or atleast the cause of this problem thanks

i tried all the simple solutions... looks like it has something to do with the android.process.media or a damaged file i need a permanent solution but thanks for ur help
the first and fastest check I would do is to put another SD. if the apps are still crashing, the problem comes from there. if not, the problem is on SD. in some cases, at some point the SD will start having problems... no matter what you do. so it is possible that your card just reached its EOL (end of life)
Change the way the sd card connects to PC to mass storage mode. Then hold shift and right clic in first folder that opens when you click on icon for removable device for sd card. Click on open command prompt windows here. type in chkdsk /f and then type in Y if it succedes and asks for permission. Hit enter and watch reports. If this doesnt work try other sd card, but probabbly problem is in device and not sd card. If you have any problems pm me...
Hi All,
I have quite a unique problem here.
For some reason i can not format my SD card. Here is what i am using:
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Micro...09119&sr=1-2&keywords=64gig+micro+sd+class+10
I tried formatting in TWRP and that didnt work.
I tried Formatting inside android via the settings option and that doesnt work
I tried manually deleting the files and folders when i connect my phone to my pc and that didnt work.
I have a GT N7100 and rooted using Moon rom at the moment.
I tried XNote Rom and that didnt work
When i try to format the card it seems to format it and once it remounts the card its just the same.
When i try to delete the files manually, it shows that the files were deleted but when i restart my phone BOOM the files are there again.
When i try to download any new files and copy it over to the card it shows i have copied it correctly and when i restart the phone the files are gone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Exact same problem here. Formatting in CWM Recovery does nothing. Will try formatting in Windows via card reader. Very odd that this happened after I upgraded my stock ROM.
Turned out to be a defective Sandisk SD card. Has been replaced by Sandisk.

Hi. Can someone shed some light on this? I have a 64gb memory card and I'm running PA I know exfat isn't supported but when I plus the SD reader into the computer it says please insert disk. I get a notification when my SD in my phone so i try reformatting with my phone itself but all I get is the same error stating it is corrupted and needs to format. I did some research and other people say when the SD is plugged into the computer you can try changing the drive letters for example F: to Z: because windows xp to could be using the same letters as others drives

Dont need to change path or reformat just follow instruction n first post by OP.
Edit.. OP use path d: you will need to change it to path your card is using.

You will need a card reader then follow procedure from the link. Windows will recover all your files after it verify contents of your card. Just be patient when you do it mine took 10 mins to verify contents of my card.

I downloaded the program and opened it and selected the USB drive which my SD card was in and it won't let me click next and recover it because apparently my computer didn't install it. But on the bottom of my screen it showed me it's installed.

No program needed just go to RUN and typed CMD........from new window, type Chkdsk d: /r. change d: to whatever g: or h: check the path of your card reader when you connect it to your usb. *Windows will check all the contents in the card and verify it. It is really important to change the path when you are doing Chkdsk to same path as your card reader is.
