[Q] Turning on Wifi freezes phone - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I will try and be brief but will list everything I have attempted so far. I have a great Desire HD which I have recently rooted, s-off et al because the wifi was intermittant to say the least.
After several days of research here there and everywhere I still am no closer to solving the issue which varies slightly with each new ROM I load.
Firstly, turning the wifi on in most roms freezes the phone so the only solution is to battery pull and reboot and keep the wifi turned off. Slightly better with cyanogen 7 as the wifi will sometimes connect to the hub (BT Home Hub 2) but withi minutes phone has again crashed.
I have tried the following:
Full wipe and reinstall roms to varying success
New SD card
Installs with & without sd card present
Different Radios
Physical inspection of internals - no damage is obvious
Static IP attempted when available for long enough
Reset hub until it is blue in the face along with changing channels, renaming SSID and as many other setting I can think of
Tried a few wifi fix apps
And probably more I cnt recall
I have not yet run a logicat as I need to get the apk.
I am still of a mind that this is software (?) as some Roms get to connect and then freeze up.
I will continue to investigate and update progress but if anyone has more ideas please point me in that direction.
very many thanks

I'd try running a log cat. But sound like a software problem to me. In the words of Teichopsia 'Did you check the SIM cover?'
The Corner approves..
That thanks button ain't gonna push itself!

Thanks very much for the swift reply etc. I will be running a logcat as soon as I can get hold of the apk and will post here for anyone with greater understanding (probably most!)
As for the physical side yes both covers checked and cleaned contacts. Have not tried new ones but as the wifi connected, albeit briefly with cyan I am going to exhaust the software side until there are no more answers.
Thank you

Thanks - this has been tried so I should add that to my list of "whats been done" so sorry I missed that off. Same condition - wifi connects for the briefest of time then hangs/freezes phone up which still leads me to believe its software somehow.
I have attempted a catlog which is attached and there is mention of wifi hang but I do need help to decipher and find a solution if there is one!
Also from hboot my readings are:
ACE PVT ENG S-OFF RL
HBOOT-0.85.2425
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.14.04.28_M
eMMC-boot
Thank you very much :good:

Have you been full wiping between ROMs? And which ROMs have you tried?

Thank you - yes full wipe between roms, cache clean and dalvik as well. Tried Jellytime R29 & 30 with no wifi success but everything else ran ok and am currently on cyanogen 7 which has connected a few times but I still get freeze after a while.
Just tried a new wifi kernel so I will report on that too soon.
Cheers :good:

Well I thik so?
I have ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0
I have tried all the features I think and have also tried FULL_WIPE_1.5_EXT4.zip as well
Also tried lordmodUEv8.6-CFS.zip kernel
Not doing too well at solving this! I wonder just what it could be?
Thank you most appreciated

The kernel shouldn't be the problem; all ROMs I know of come with working kernels.
In CWM, for a full wipe, you need to go to...I think it's Advanced? (I might be wrong.) Anyway, somewhere, find the options that say "format system," "format data," and "format cache." Use them. "Factory reset" only wipes data and cache, not system. This WILL wipe all your data. Then flash. I would try flashing stock or ARHD first.

Well blessings so far - Full wipe and ARHD 7.1 for a couple of hours and full wifi, no freezes.
So.....it is software? What now if I want to try other ROMS? (at least I can get back to stock!)

For other ROMs, give a full wipe and flash a try. My hunch is that the lack of a full wipe was the problem.

Power button reboots phone with Skyraider 3.3

Hey all
I've searched for an answer to my problem but have been able to find it. Anyway, I have tried about 8 different ROMS over the past month or so and Skyraider is easily my favorite. However, I had to remove due to the fact that whenever I would try to power down the device, it would reboot instead.
I've tried installing both manually and from ROM manager with the same outcome. I've cleared date & davlik and performed full wipes each time. My last hope was fixing permissions but that failed to correct the issue as well.
Again, I really enjoy using this ROM and do not relish the thought of not being able to use it. Does anyone have any thoughts on a possible fix?

You sure its Skyraider? That happened to me... Phone wouldnt shut off, if your in dark you can see the screen doesnt even shut down. With me though, it would shut off if plugged in.. Turned out the phone was damaged, a power surge damaged it. Got it replaced. If you flash another rom and it still wont shut down, then your gonna need a replacement.
Thanks for the response Mike. No, It does not happen with any other ROM I flash. Been bouncing between CM, Virtuous and uncommon for a week now and the power button works as it should.
I dunno, I realize I am a n00b with all of this but it simply doesnt make sense to me
Again, Thank you for the response
What radio are you using? A lot of people using 2.05 were having that issue and it went away when they upgraded to a 2.15 radio baseband.
No problem. But what you have going on is very odd, i wasnt aware that a ruu could do that. Try upgrading to the latest radio.
That's the baseband version correct? Sorry, I'm not too saavy with radios. Anyway..it says 2.15.00.07.28

Yes, that's the baseband version and you should be good to go with the one you are using. The only other things I can come up with is to ensure you are S-OFF and running HBOOT 0.79 or higher.
Please forgive my ignorance here. I am definately S-off but I am unsure how to see what HBOOT I am running. I go into recovery but I dont see any version.

Not a problem. This is how we learn. To find your HBOOT version power down then reboot into recovery. When you get to the white recovery screen look in the top left corner. The first line should state S-OFF and the second line should state your HBOOT version.
I was really hoping I would see it lower than 0.79 but it's 0.92. ah well..I suppose it's simply my phone doesn't play well with this ROM.
Thank you for the suggestions
I had this happen to me on Skyraider 3.3 after I tried to install a taskbar or battery icon from his older roms. Try just the stock rom for now until he updates.

Well that's unfortunate. I read a couple of posts in the Skyraider thread that sounded as though a couple of people had the "recommended" setup (like you) but also had the reboot problem. Those posts seemed to get no response so I guess there was no fix found. Most of the discussion on this problem starts around post #2432 in the Skyraider thread if you want to do some more digging but I couldn't really find anything more.
Some other factors to consider:
When you first flashed the ROM did you wipe all data? (factory reset, wipe data cache, wipe dalvik cache).
If you flashed a custom kernel, try going back to the stock kernel.
What version of ClockworkModRecovery are you running? They released a buggy update a couple of weeks ago and it was pulled shortly after release so if you have a version higher than 2.5.0.5 then you should revert to an older version of CWM.
You could flash the 2.15.00.09.01 radio baseband but I don't think it would make a difference with this problem. Also, if you screw up or accidentally flash the same radio over itself then you will have a brick so use extreme caution if you decide to go that route.
That pretty much exhausts my knowledge on the subject so if everything is as it should be then you could always try wiping everything and flashing the ROM again.

<SOLVED> Help!!!! data connection kills my wildfire!!!

Hello all guys!
Thank you a lot for the work that are you doing, sharing to all of us how we can make our phones free...
Recently i found xda-forums and because i own a wildfire, i wanted to make it better.
I started reading and i learned how to make things better... S-off my phone, rooted, completly wipe internal memory and flash a new rom. All good.... i had GPS problems first time, but i managed to fix it... anyway... Now i have a REAL PROBLEM...
A few days ago i flashed CyanogenMod7 nightly #232, after a full wipe. All good, but now i can't use it because data connection kills it... it doesn't matter what i do, but when i try to use browser/e-mail/market or any app that uses internet the same thing happens: reboot or power down.
I restored my stock froyo nandroid wich i had, same thing... Anybody knows a way to fix it??? please help me out, tethering phone's data connection was my getaway, but now it reboots my phone...
Here are my phone specs:
Phone: HTC Buzz Wildfire
S.OFF:Revolutionary
Hboot:[6.01.1002]
Recovery: [v.5.0.2.0] ClockworkMod Recovery
ROM: [2.3.7] CyanogenMod7-NIGHTLY-buzz #232
Kernel:[2.6.35.14]-nFinity [email protected] #1
Radio: [13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10]
OC: SmartAssV2 min:[264]Mhz max:[691]Mhz
Jit=yes
VM Heap size: 32m
Help!
Edit: flashed the previous CM7 kernel (2.6.32) -> nothing happens
reflashed radio, still nothing... flashed 3.35.19.25 radio... still nothing...
Edit 2: now i see that if i connect phone to power socket, stays awake... i can use internet only with the phone. tethering still reboots my phone...
Final edit: Problem solved, i sent the phone to the sellers and after a failed attempt (where they thought that a sw update and a screen protector can make me happy), they figured out that all the phone needed is a new battery... they sent me the new one, and now all works just fine... i'm happy again, now i'm searching new tweaks for the BuzzFire... thx all who tried to help me out , special thx to 3xeno
Anyone can help? Desperate user here, guys!!! I'll pray for you... i just search for an answer but i cannot find a thread with the same issue or something close to it... Pleaseee!!!

Does it reboot when you just turn the dataconnection on? and are you using v6turbocharger or the 3gturbocharger scripts?
Some options:
1. Reflash radio file to your phone
2. Get a official release of cyanogenmod
3. Make sure you wipe data/cache/dalvik before you flash the rom
Hope this helped, if it did please press the thanks button!

no, i don't use v6turbocharger or 3g turbocharger... i don't need them, phone acts verry well without those scripts...

I have 3 zips of CyanogenMod7 nightly (#202 #220 #232)... i allways perform a full wipe before i flash the rom... i reflashed all 3 radios from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 ... same result...phone get killed or rebooted...
Now after a full wipe i have restored only Boot.img and System.img from my original Froyo nandroid backup, so basically i belive that could be a fresh install of the original Sense Froyo... the kernel is the original Htc kernel... but i still have the same problem... phone get killed after enabling data connection... i don't know why phone acts like this... All this "phone dies" story started suddenly... one day i woke up and the phone started acting like this... i think it hates me
Partitioning card helps?? i'l give it a shot... i'll tell you if it works... thx in advance...
wiped dalvik cache and cache... patition - 128 mb ext - 32 swap... nothing... same prob...(((((
Partitioning an SDCard can prevent freeze ups / network issues? That is a new one!
On topic, try flashing an RUU and check for the issue when on the stock ROM. I can't find the post, but it worked for someone else who was facing similar issues,

since i am a noob... i try all the suggestions... even for me sounded strange... anyway... i choose the RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.2_R_Radio_13.45.55.24_3. 35.15.31_release_130814_signed.exe, since i don't know what i had in my phone when i bought it, and i don't want to use a Froyo RUU because i'm afraid i won't be able to S-OFF and root my phone again... but another question... If i have HBoot:6.01.1002, the RUU is able to downgrade the HBoot, or i have to make it myself?... thx @3xeno... in advance... i hope this will solve my phone disease...
Edit: When i bought it, the phone had Sense 2.1 Eclair, but i made the 2.2.1 in-phone software update (dhaaaa)... i'm happy i managed to s-off it after that... and i didn't used AlpharevX (i had no idea at that time), i used "revolutionary-0.4pre4"...
You can use a Froyo RUU (WWE 2.22.405.1). The HBoot will not be touched. (You will lose Clockworkmod Recovery though, but, since you know how to use Fastboot, it shouldn't be an issue at all I am assuming). Also, your device, except the SDCard, will be formatted, so make sure you have your important stuff backed up.

I learned this things thx 2 u... i have backups... fastboot... now i have to download the RUU... i'll tell you if it works in a couple of days... i have a poor bandwidth ( +>- 5KBps)... i'll pray to all the Gods i know (i'm christian but doesn't matter, maybe my God doesn't now a shee about ANDROID) ... i'll make you know if it worked, if not, i'll apply the RUU, downgrade Hboot, and i will go in the shop where i bought the phone and ... i'll make it pieces in front of the sellers... or request for warranty... am i correct?
Yes, do that, definitely if the RUU method doesn't work as well.
Anyway, it doesn't matter my data... if the phone doesn't work as it should, i don't think data is so important... data is a thing that can be refound... a phone with unknown issue.. is a really phookin' problem... the incredible thing is the fact that the phone works quite well without data connection... rarely app FC's, smooth UI... i'm amazed... did'n tried wifi... i will... maybe will work...

sorry for stressing you with questions... assuming that i may have some little knowledge (i think) about android and wildfire... let's say that RUU does his job... but what really does an RUU?? Rom update utility... removes clockworkmod+ performs a fresh install of an original HTC rom+ sometimes upgrades or downgrades HBOOT+S-on's the phone...
this stuff we can do it via Fastboot and adb... I have my original rom... i backed it up when i thought that AOSP ROM is something that definetly phone needs ( well i can say that: yes... it needs... <3 CM7NB)
so... if i "advanced" restore my Sense nandroid (only boot+system) after a full and complete wipe( i performed the wipe via clockworkmod-->mounts and storage--> all "format" options+ yes + wipe Dalvik cache + reboot in HBOOT -clear storage= phone boots and reboots in HBOOT... cuz there's no boot or operating system)... it means i have the original stock froyo... without configurations and stuff like that... am i correct?
Yes you can do that, but with an RUU, you are practically guaranteed a clean install. It's a good way to point out where exactly an issue potentially lies.

That's the point... ( linked to my phone issue)... if it's not the kernel or the radio or the custom recovery... remains the hboot... in your opinion can this be the problem?? sorry if i'm stressing you again...let's make this thread useful and discuss all the aspects... for the future, in case that this can be useful for all the community of XDA... maybe is pointless... but i wanna learn, and this is a verry good subject to discuss(i think)
While i wait that RUU to download (14% of 130+MB)
I think that since my nandroid is clean...(btw... i made a factory reset before making the Stock Froyo nandroid) and i know that data connection worked before and after... it just doesn't make sense for me why the RUU can fix things...
Sorry, but I am not so technically proficient as to go in depth and explain stuff, because, I myself don't know about it. I suggested something that has been known to work for others, and, it stays just that - a suggestion. It's totally upto you what you wish to do, what you wish to experiment etc. Its your device and your wish.
Hopefully, someone with in-depth knowledge of how stuff works can explain these to you.

Thx for your time and advices man!!! God Bless you!!
RUU installed, but issue not resolved
Bad news... looks that the RUU (2.22.405.1) did remove the custom recovery, flashed new radio and flashed the stock Froyo rom... didn't touch the hboot... but my phone is not cured... still dies few seconds after i enable data... i'll try to downgrade the Hboot to 1.01.0001 S-ON to see if the problem is resolved, if not, i think it may be a hardware problem and i hope i can send it for a warranty intervention... God!!! Why are you doing this to me?!!
I had it wrong doesn't matter.

Wildfire Random Restarts - please help

Hi all,
I have HTC wildfire for almost a couple of years, recently it started to randomly restart, about 5-8 times a day (the phone is off during the night).
At the time it begun I had OLDWildPuzzleROM_2.2 Froyo v8.0.11 ROM, with HBoot 0.8.
Before the restarts happened I rooted my phone using unrEVOked-3-2-Windoze (it stayed S-Off though).
I don't think the restarts happened right after the root so I'm not sure that is the cause
I few days ago I flashed it with "RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Radio_13.55.55.2 4H_3.35.20.10_release_160191_signed" which changed my HBoot from 0.8 to 1.01.0001. I found the ROM here and followed the instructions.
I had to make a goldcard (I formatted the SD card using the phone and not using the PC).
My phone continues to randomly restart.
We don't have HTC representative in my country, only non official labs that deal with repair, so I can't go to the company for repair. talking to the lab guy he says it is probably a software issue and not a hardware issue, though I don't understand how it is possible since I flashed a completely new ROM. Oh, and the lab guy says he will charge me whether the repair works of fails....
Do you have any suggestions?
Many thanks
PS
I read about boot loop, I'm not sure what boot loop is, but when my phone restarts it shows the HTC logo as it does during power on or full restart.
bootlooping is random restarting or continuous looping of boot.
reasons could be many......
overclocking your cpu to high.
low on memory (too many apps installed / running).
v6 / supercarger / juwwes ram scripts etc etc.
MokeeOs
So that doesn't apply to me
I don't overclock
I have restarts even without installing any apps
I don't know what v6 / supercarger / juwwes ram scripts mean
any ideas of what should I do?

like slymobi already mentioned it could have several reasons - but we've already excluded a few...
Another idea is to start your phone without the sdcard and look if the reboots continue
Important: flashing a different ROM to solve the issue almost doesn't help if you haven't done a complete wipe/factory reset - it has also been reported (not confirmed, though) that Clockworkmod recovery randomly fails with wiping - so it might also help to repeat the procedure.
Probably slymobi will point to a thread where he explains a complete wipe... (you could search in his threads - I'm busy and it's really hot here atm )
I mean: to be sure I always try to format + wipe + factory reset (sound redundant but feels safer...)

thank you,
I will try to find a tutorial that illustrates how to do a format and complete wipe, I will appreciate it if someone will have the time to point one, but will look for it myself too.
so I understand you all think it is not a hardware issue.
BTW I did a factory reset on my original ROM before I flashed a new one.

Sorry, couldn't find how to do a system format. can you help?
Does "wipe" as you call it the same as factory reset? if so that I did but no format.
In the recovery go under Mounts and Storage and select Format System.
Technically factory reset is a wipe, it wipes cache, data and sd-ext

There's another thing you might want to check: a lot of people had reboots when they (or the phone) switched on 3G. So do you have reboots, too, with data/3G off?
Furthermore I also know of at least one case where the reboots were caused by a damaged battery - so it might be a hardware issue as well - but in most cases I know of it hasn't been
Re. how to do a clean wipe/format: in this thread I describe my method (sometimes I'll do it different, though) and slymobi describes how he does it (your choice): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833966

yes but as you probably know, sometimes that might just not be clean enough...
reboot into recovery, power off then volume down button and power button at same time,in this menu, using trackball to select,
wipe data / restore factory settings,
wipe cache,
go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
press power button to go back.
go into mounts and storage,
format data,
format cache,
format system,
format sdext,
DONT FORMAT SDCARD
you have now wiped your phone clean.
press power button to go back,
install rom from sdcard, navigate to where your rom is on your sdcard and select / confirm,
let it install..........
don't reboot,if gapps are needed?
flash correct gapps in same way as you just flashed rom........
reboot.

Thank you eventcom,
Actually I didn't think about it but the restarts started a bit after I started using the 3G internet.
If so will the format-wipe-flash procedure will help? this phone suppose to be 3G capable, no?
Many thanks
If the reboots happen because of you enabling 3G I think re-flashing the radio will fix that. (Not so sure on that, someone please complete me)

Thank you slymobi,
but as I wrote above, when I did the RUU thingy I had to do the goldcard procedure and so I formatted my SD card.
Does it have a ROM image after I did the RUU flash?
what is "flash gapps", is it one of the option in the menu? sorry, I'm new to all of this
thank you for your patience and valuable help
gapps is the google apps package.needed for most non sense roms I think
its fine that you have formatted the sdcard at that stage. I meant whenever your performing recovery wipes to be careful not to format sdcard as it does exactly what it says and you will delete all contents of sdcard.

yes you can. I'm busy now so hopefully someone will guide you.
if not search forum on how to flash radio etc etc.

Yes you can.
First download the file I attached and this file: http://www.mediafire.com/?lkhsl6hojm7vplv
Put both on the SD card
Flash the first one in the recovery, this will give you a temporary 2.5.X recovery, that goes away on reboot.
Within that recovery flash the second file I put up (the radio file itself)

I feel so stupid asking this, but how do I 'flash the in the recovery'? I don't know the basics, also the 'Within that recovery and flash the sec file' is a bit esoteric for me
I feel stupid since I am an electronic engineer and working with J-Tag and embedded systems
Thank a lot
Flash them both, just like you flash a ROM
Once you flash the first file a new recovery will pop up, within that one, flash the radio file

That's my point exactly, I never flashed a ROM on a cell phone
I used the RUU exe, it was as simple as running a windows application.
Do I have to root the device? and mimic a ROM update procedure to do that?
Or wait, is it by using the bootloader menu that comes up when you press down+power on?
lesicnik I would have thought you of all people would give better instructions. Especially after yesterdays pm. lol.

[Q] codefireX problems

I have installed the rom of cfx_ace-4.2-BR11 & cfx_ace-4.2-SR1 and install all my apps, change my wallpaper and stuff, butt when I reboot my phone it resets to first installation (lose my wallpaper, my apps, and settings). Can someone help me with this? I really like this ROM.
I use a HTC Desire HD.
Did you a Fullwipe before flashing the ROM?

Yes I did full wipe, dalvek & cache
Download again. Flash rom. Reboot. Wait a few minutes. Do your settings, reboot, flash gapps, reboot.
Technically, it doesn't really matter in what order you do it (I believe it so), some people swear by x or y method. In short, you should be able to flash the rom and gapps without needing to reboot in between and without loosing anything. It's odd that you are. After flashing both of those then download your apps, that is, if you use gapps.

Dalvik and cache is not a full wipe. A full wipe is system, data, and cache.
Yes i know, tried it still doesnt work. Installed another rom that One Works fine, going to try and reinstal the rom this weekend.

i wonder why when certain features are working on one release, some of those features can get problem in the next release?
what happened during the firmware/rom writing process?

Things just break sometimes. It's not as easy as it seems to make a ROM with so many features by oneself. If you're talking about GPS not working since SR1, that specific issue was because synergye's source code hosting site BitBucket merged some of his code together and messed things up, and he had to sort that out to get it fixed. That's what I remember reading. GPS and Bluetooth will be working in the next release.
@OP -
Something is messed up in your wiping/flashing process. No one else has the issues you described, save for the wallpaper resetting on restart sometimes. Like Teichopsia said, wipe properly and reflash ROM and gapps. You might think you're wiping correctly, but you might be doing it all wrong. There are many guides on what constitutes a full wipe. Report back here if it still occurs after full wiping and re-flashing properly.

First time trying anything like this on a smart phone. So tonight I did a "back to factory" restart to get the phone like it was when I opened it out of the box. Then I read about this ROM, and thought why not. So I rooted my phone, then installed the ROM. Everything went fairly smooth, and got the ROM working. My problem is I dont have a google play store app now, and I didnt sync anything, so I dont have any of my apps, nor do I have the ability to download them again. Any help with this?

Flash gapps. Linked in cfX OP.
I do have the gapps file downloaded. I just dont know how to get it on my phone and working. I used a ROM manager app for the ROM file.
From recovery, same way you flashed the ROM (except for the full wipe part; don't wipe.)

You need to use "adb reboot recovery" from your computer. There are several good adb guides; check the Ace Think Tank link in my signature. Then, depending on your recovery, find the option that says something like "install zip from sdcard." Use it, navigate to your gapps, and select it.

Figured it out, thanks!
Next question is I downloaded Gmail App, and it wont sync with my account. I login, and everything but it just sits at the screen saying "Waiting for sync, your email will appear shortly" I've waited well over 10mins and no sync. Ideas?
Have you set up your account in Settings? If you reboot between flashing the ROM and gapps you need to do that manually; it doesn't show a first boot thing.

It appears I didnt. You solved the problem! Thanks a bunch. Sorry for all the questions.
Ok last question, will adobe flash player work with this ROM? If so how can I get it. I search the market and the app isnt there. And its not on my phone either
4.2 in general doesn't support flash. You could try searching for the apk and sideloading it. Make sure you enable installation from unknown sources in Settings - Security.

So, when fixing one thing, the process could probably break some working features.

[Q] Help needed- Bootlooping

HI,
I am facing a peculiar kind of a problem. I recently rooted my Desire Z following the cyanogen wiki to the letter. I have tried many ROMS but whichever ROM I install, I am facing this problem. For the first few days of Install, my phone works perfectly. But after a few days if I reboot, my phone gets stuck is a bootloop( i dont know if thts the right word, coz it boots and it starts the android but before the launcher is started it restarts again.
First I was using Flinny's CM10.1 test builds, and then I changed it cause I thought that was the problem. Now I am using Andromadus' Mimicry 1.5 which is also giving me same problem.
Everytime this happens I have to use the PCIMG10 file to restore it and then root it again and then install the ROM..
Is there any way to solve this problem.. I'll provide logs if u require... I am desperate..
yes a log cat would help much maybe a cat /proc/last_kmsg or have adb running during the bootloop and post here.
seems a strange issue and may just be an evil app installed or something else entirely but without more info i would just be guessing. and do actually have to reroot? i mean what would happen if you were just to wipe clean and install a new rom via recovery? also it may help so could you provide all that is on your bootloader screen
also see HERE for some more help, feel free to post in there as well (trying to reduce the clutter in these forums)

I have a logcat from when I was running Flinny's CM10.1 test builds.. I faced this many times with that ROM and so I took a log last time it happened.
BootLoopLog_CM10.1
The latest time since I was in a hurry to get my phone back to working condition couldnt get a log. But soon after, it happened again. I installed only "Explorer" and "What'sapp" when this happened again. I have captured the logs and here it is.
BootLoopLog_Mimicry1.5
And ya I did try and restore a previous backup, and I also tried wiping and installing the ROM, but in both the cases the Phone will hang at the boot animation screen or restart again. Here attached is a log of the phone restarting after a clean wipe and fresh install of the ROM.
BootLoopLog_Mimicry1.5-after reinstall
Code:
Bootloader screen info

Please help me out... this is kind of frustrating.
P.S- I did see that thread.. but since my phone was not bricked, I didnt post it over there..
are you sure you did a full wipe? there was definitely more than just a couple user apps installed, could be some leftovers from last rom. there isnt anything im seeing too specifically in the logcats to show your issue, all of them seem to bootloop in slightly different times but while running some java system frameworks
anyhow, if you were to start completely fresh, unroot, reroot, flash rom, etc - all works fine? lets say you just signed into gmail, then reboot phone, would it loop? or do you need to run the os for some time then turn it off and then it happens?
for now how about this, flash THE DZ ONE through bootloader as described in the thread,
then flash SUPERWIPE through recovery
then when all is done flash rom of choice, for fun lets do mimicry, let it boot, sign into google, let phone sit like 10min, choose reboot and see what happens

What I mean by full wipe is.. First I would do the factory reset from recovery, then proceed to wipe the "cache partition" , dalvik cache, battery stats, and then in the mounts and storage menu, again do a format of cache, data and system... Is there anything else I should do to do a clean wipe?
And If i start fresh, nothin happens immediately.. u need to let the OS run for a day or two and then this happens..
Anyways.. i'll try what you suggested and get back to you.... thanks for all the help..
