I have Dslr Controller, and it works perfect with my phone. My problem is I use to be able to view the sdcard in the camera thru my gallery in the S3, and now I cant. I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this problem.
It may be a default setting that I activated maybe, but i have no clue what to clear, or anything.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like a hardware problem to me, something is not powering up your screen..try another, you can find good deals on ebay...if you want to perform it by yourself.
Hello- I was wondering if anybody could help me out with something. I want to be able to chat with the wife through my Evo to her PC and it seems that Imovicha is the only way right now (just saw the news on Google!). I have downloaded it and my wife uses an HP Netbook with a built in webcam. When I test the camera in the program, it comes up fine, but when I call with the Evo it won't show up. I plugged in an external cam and it works fine. Does anybody know how I can make the built in one work? Thanks
I have a Tab 3 (8.0) with android 4.2.2. Can I connect via OTG cable my Nikon D200 camera to the tablet so I can view a picture shortly after exposure. I tried just making the connection and the tablet does not "see" the camera's CF card as an additional storage or hard drive. By the way, this procedure does work on my computer using Windows Explorer. I read somewhere that android 4.3 update will allow this should it ever become available. Any ideas on how I might be able to accomplish this? Thank you all.

IF you can set your camera to a mode that it looks like a storage device for your computer, then it should work fine as a storage device ONLY with the tablet and OTG. IF it needs a special driver to work on the PC, then then Android will not recognize it.

Thank you, DigitalMD,
I will have to check into that. I know when I first connected the camera to the PC it did load a driver of some description but I don't know what. Until Samsung decides to grace us all with 4.3.2, perhaps I would be better off using my 7" net book instead of the tablet. Too bad but thank you again for your rapid and helpful response.

Are you trying to achieve control or just file transfer? If you are trying to control the camera during shooting or view when in shooting mode you will need an app for Nikon control. When you connect a new device to a windows PC, it will search an online database of drivers and download a new driver if needed. Android does not work like that, for OTG there is a very limited set of devices it can recognize mainly , storage, mouse, keyboard
You might try DSLR.Dashboard or similar apps.

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help. I've got a nexus 7 built into my car dash and would like to use a Web cam as a journey recorder. The Web cam works but the issue is software . I'm looking for something that record on a loop plus time and date stamp plus GPS location stamp. I've seen plenty of apps that offer this but non we an external camera. Is there a way to trick the nexus that the webcam is internal? Or does anyone know of an application that will work?
Thanks for your help

Hi everyone,
I know this forum is more about software and the functioning of custom roms. But maybe someone has experiences with data recovery from a SM-A320FL, stockRom, with a broken display.
The mobile of my son has a broken display. The mobile still works, I can plug it in to a computer and it is still recognized as normal. I can not get access to the data via the laptop because I have to unlock via the phone. I know I could just get out the external sd and save the data, but my son would like to save his data from the phone as well.
The display is completely black and broken. We can not access the phone. Touch does not work.
My idea was to access the phone via an USB-C hub and plug the phone to an external monitor with a mouse and keyboard. So far it has not worked. Has anyone tried this solution and could tell me his /her experiences?
Has anyone experiences with such or a similar problem? Are there any other solutions to the problem, e.g. break up the phone and connect a new display to the phone,?
Many thanks for your help and any suggestions
Best

As far as I know, the phone is not capable of displaying its screen over the USB-C and never has been:

Your only chance would be to use adb or Microsoft's Your Phone. But for the latter, you need to install and set up the app, which would be impossible with a broken screen.
How to fully backup and restore your Android device without root
One of Android’s little-known tricks is its built-in backup and restore process that allows users to save their private data...

As a matter of fact, you could still root your phone and make a backup using the buttons on the side of the phone, however, you could only do that with a blindfold on as you have no screen. (However, there are many screenshots and videos available to see what theoptions are.)
Of course, if you bring your device to a repair shop, they can attach a touchscreen and perform the backup for you.
