I'm going to buy a used e971 but the software said it is e973, and the first 4 Imei numbers is 0044 so are there any chances I'm buying a test/defect unit?
Pretty high.
As i know, first 2 digits is area code and 00 is test one.

Hey,
What are the North America numbers? I notice that the ones you gave were 11 digits, not 10. Or, was the 9 at the beginning just to get an outside line or something?
Thx.

In case some one didn't hear 3space yet, he is asking for the North American numbers. You know?
3space, those numbers are for the UAE. +971 is the country code.

Ok - One more number (their tech support - live answered in one go)
+971 4 3477999
And believe it or not, I did have the North America numbers at one time, because my device turned into a brick with a ROM upgrade, and they fixed it for me in about 60 seconds!!! Damn, wish I kept that person's phone number...
Where to begin? I purchased what I thought was a real HTC Touch(GSM), only to have received what I think maybe a Chinese clone or Chinese version of said phone. The phone itself is tagged HTC even in the battery compartment. The phone doesn't say DOPOD (Taiwanese subsidiary) anywhere on it but I have my suspicions. Aside from the roms and badges, is there any difference ,hardware wise? I know the Chinese versions can't utilize a 3G network. Is this issue Hardware or Firmware? If it's a DOPOD, will it take a U.S rom once I unlock the CID? Can I save the old ROM (just in case)? Are you tired of me asking questions yet? With the info bellow can it be determined if I was scammed?
ROM 1.11.706.1b CHS
model ELF0100
model# HTC P3450
p/n 99HDM030-00
I picked a bad week to stop drinking tequila.
I had enough of this, I,m going to drown my sorrows. I'll check back in the morning.
Appears to be a regular Elf model Touch?
It appears to be, but looks can be deceiving. Also there are tell-tale signs,( spelling and grammatical errors in the UI, missing features, etc.).What I really need to know is if it is, are there any physical hardware differences between a US model and an Asian Knock-off? I went to the US HTC website to check for updates and I found a rom update. After inputting my ser. number for the download, it replied that it was not a legitimate serial number. IF it is a Chinese version can I convert it to a US model? will I have 3G accessibility? Inquiring minds want to know.
Unfortunately, that I cannot answer--although if it is a knock-off, and therefore of no use--might as well try, right?
Well, yeah, I can try, but I can also end up bricking my phone if they're not the same. Can't I?
Hi everyone,
For the folks with the SGH-I747, can you please give me the model number of your charger? My charger got stolen along with some other stuff on a recent trip and I'm trying to replace it with an OEM part. Even better if you're Canadian, although I don't think it should make much of a difference. If the cable has a model number, please note that too.
Thanks!
I got the model number from a friend who has a Telus GS3. The model number is ETA0U61JBE in case anyone needs it. Thanks!
I see model numbers listed for the 2014, but I do not know one variant from another.
I am interested in the United States wifi only versions.
Can someone tell me the model numbers ?
16k and 32k ?
Thanks,

Next month I will have had mine a year. Fantastic!
I know there are multiple H815 models, The EU version being the only unlockable one right now.
My questions are;
1) what are all the H815 model numbers, and if the models numbers are not different for different locals, how to tell them apart?
2)What accessories come default in each local package? (I know some come with 2 back plates, some with headphones, some with mail in offers)
I would like to purchase a H815 EU model, but as of now I have no real way to tell if what I will be purchasing will be what I actually want until I try to unlock it.
*EDIT* I know this could be in Q&A but when this is answered, I would like to be able to edit this into an informative post to help others.
My h815 is from Taiwan. I know this because that's where it shipped from. Plus on the box it says h815 TW. But no where n the phone does it say TW. So the only way to know as far as I know is the box. Mine came with one set of headphones, one back, and us/TW charger for what it's worth
IMEI test to show suffix

One way to tell apart differences between phones within the LGH815 model category seems to be to identify the suffix of the individual phone.
See post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61159318&postcount=68 for test of IMEI of phone that reveals the suffix particular to that phone.
