Bell, Rogers, Telus all the same size? - LG Optimus G (International)

Hi,
Are the E971 and E973 the same dimensions? I know know are differences in the US models, one is wider. So are both these the same?
Really I just want to buy a E973 from Bell, and buy the Otter box commuter, but their website says its only compatible with LS970 Sprint, NOT a E970 AT&T.
Problem is, neither Canadian model matches those numbers so I have no idea what form factor we have. So many models, so much confusion!
Are 971/973 same? And same as which US version?
Thanks!

Thanks, but had already seen it. Decided I couldn't trust it because it was different than what was on the Bell website, listing a 13 Mpixel camera which Bell does not have. I also thought the Bell one had expandable memory, but I guess I was wrong on that too.
Wikipedia for the win.

[FYI] google.ca/nexus now showing Galaxy Nexus!

As the title says, http://www.google.ca/nexus now shows the Galaxy Nexus instead of Nexus S. Also, Canada now listed in the drop down menu!
wow please take that alert off the title. this info isnt even remotely close to being important.

The link doesn't work for me either. Type "Nexus Canada" or something similar in Google search and use the link it gives from there and you'll see at the bottom there are selections for Canada English and French.
http://www.google.ca/nexus is working fine for me here, in Canada...
I'm happy to see that they've finally added Canada to the list... I was starting to get worried.
Does anyone have confirmation of the post that claims Bell will be getting this phone on Nov. 14? I would love to find this to be true!
Is bell compatible with tmobile like band wise?? Thinking aboot driving to Canada if I can't get GSM stateside

Haven't heard any news about a Nov 14 release on any site other than here. The guy who claims it hasn't made any replies regarding that either so it's pretty unlikely to happen. It'll be great if it does though

The big Canadian carriers (Rogers, Bell and Telus) use bands compatible with AT&T. Some smaller ones like WIND Mobile use bands compatible with T-Mobile. But doesn't a "petaband" phone mean the Galaxy Nexus would work on both? (someone please confirm or correct me on that)
Yes. Pentaband means it carries the 1700 band aka aws. The other 4 are 850/900/1900/2100.
I invented cyberspace. You're trespassing.
Can we get some confirmation that it actually is coming on the 14th - a link from a credible source?
Until then, I remain skeptical.

This phone is pentaband. It works on AT&T (so Canadian carriers) AND on T-mo.
If you're ever worried then just look at the official spec sheets. Its going to work on any GSM carrier in the world pretty much.

will this work on verizon lte

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...l-core-/200739106754?_trksid=p1468660.m200036 it is a good price IMO, but the description says it is 3g. Will it work, or will I screw myself by buying it.
That's a GSM model. Considering it says "unlocked" and "GSM" in the description...
i9250 will NOT work on Verizon. You need i515.

The GSM model is "plummeting" worldwide. Phones get cheap 4+ months after they're for sale. Not a huge demand for it either honestly.

Difference between unlocked GSM and international GSM????

I live overseas and have a Galaxy Nexus international. I know this because on the back of my box there are about 40 two letter country abbreviations listed.
I just purchased a 2nd Nexus that is the "US" GSM unlocked version but the box is sealed and want to give it to a friend. The box is slightly different btw. I want to know if it has the same hardware as the international version and therefore will work the same on a European network.
Second question. My international version has a british power adaptor. Anyone know where I can buy the little adaptor for the european plugs?
Most of them are the same device BUT sometimes they are diffrnt in Radio Frequency.

All Nexus since the Nexus One have been factory unlocked even if sold by a carrier. The only thing you have to worry about is if it is GSM or the CDMA and LTE version.

No, all i9250 GSM models have the same frequencies.

Canadian Note II Users

I understand the launch is likely tomorrow, or in the next few days. Despite this, Rogers and actually most of the other major Canadian carriers run on the same bands for GSM, 3G and LTE as AT&T. I know for other Samsung devices, this has meant a shared forum for all these carriers. Does anyone know if this will be the case for the Note II as well?
I guess we will have to wait and check our model #s. It would be a shame though for users to assume that because their radios might be the same, that their model is the same, and they brick their device (assuming they would in fact be different).
If anyone can enlighten me on the situation, let me know.
Thanks,
Kiwinadians
Not sure about Bell or Telus but Rogers is definitely using the at&t variant, model numbers match. Wind, Mobilicity and Videotron are going to be using T-Mobile's variant with AWS HSPA.

Thanks for the reply. This was the assumption I was making based on what I know about Canadian network frequencies, but you know what 'ass'uming does. Bell & Telus are usually similar, but I think they run a different lower freq. band for LTE (don't quote me on this, I'm thinking back to a wiki reference from a while ago).
I'm a 7-11 speakout user, so for me its the Rogers network, so I'll buy the non-contract Rogers variant. Thank goodness it also seems to be the cheapest!
Cheers
I placed my order with Rogers today for a.corporate account can't wait

according to wikipedia the telus, bell, rogers variants are all SGH-i317M. seems to me that this will be the same phone as the AT&T version, with just an M to signify its the Canadian version.
Previous samsung phones with the M have been exactly the same hardware, just branded to the Canadian carrier, which should mean that mods/roms etc designed for the AT&T variant would work just fine for us Canadians.

Samsung Galaxy Note II superphone (SGH-I317M) - launch delay
Highlight:
"Samsung will roll out a series of launch activities starting October 30 for the official release of the Samsung Galaxy Note II superphone in Canada. However, due to global product delays, Bell will begin shipping product to channels starting Wednesday October 31st. Please begin selling upon receipt of inventory."
Then he adds:
"Mobile DNA Hi James Fan really hope Bell could start processing the shipment. In addition to the global delay, bell also move there warehouse to a new location which is causing huge delay for all the shipments : ("

Pretty pathetic for a company to launch a product and have absolutely zero stock on hand to sell. Samsung really fudged things here. A lot of pissed off posts on their Facebook page.
I just ordered mine yesterday through rogers, I will post the information once I get it. Does anyone actually have a note 2 in Canada from one the carriers?

D855 on straight talk, quick question.

I have an S5 active and it's time to get a new phone. I like the mods available for the d855 and was looking at getting an unlocked one off Amazon. I'm using straight talk (at&t), and like the att service coverage. I keep finding mixed answers, some say the 855 won't have 4g lte and others say it will. Can someone tell me for sure if the d855 will work? The d855 uses the same bands as my g870a, so I would think it would. Looking to order a phone today, so any input is appreciated. Thanks

I have no clue how to even find that out. I just want to find out if I can use a d855 and get 4g on att. The dev selection is a little better for the d855 over the AT&T d850.
