I like to use my One in landscape mode in my car, but I didn't like the long USB plug sticking out of the right side. I didn't like the way it looked, and it seemed like it would put too much stress on the port. There are a ton of adapters with different male and female ends, but it was tough to find an adapter with both male and female micro USB connections. I found one at last on eBay, and it costs less than $2.50. It's a 5-pin cable, so the phone detects it as a charger connection.

If you're like me and want to use your One in landscape mode with the charging port on the right side, this is the one you need!
Hi Experts,
i have a HDMI cable that i use to connect my HTC One X to my samsung smart TV, thts of type -
http://www.ebay.in/itm/MHL-Micro-US...1?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item3a85d7b7a7
Now i want to extend the wire for another 1-2 meteres.
So basically, i will need a wire that is of the type of the charger, but female to male.
Whr do i find such a wire, what is it called, what do i search for on ebay?

would probably be more reliable if you bought a mhl (male) to female hdmi, and female micro usb to charge. then you can just use whatever normal hdmi cable you want to use. if you start mixing lots of cables and extending etc you could run into problems. It could also work. But just warning you.
If you want to stick with the cable, just google for female hdmi to male hdmi and there's lots around.
A lot of the time cables are made to a certain specification. The HDMI Specification can be found here http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/specification.aspx
Although the HDMI Spec doesn't mention a maximum length for an HDMI cable, signal attenuation limits the length of most cables. That's why you won't find many HDMI extension cables, they just aren't recommended for any kind of quality signal use.
As for MHL (which is the cable that connects to your phone), I reckon that would suffer the same limitations as HDMI.
I have a cable which plugs into my charging port which then has a usb slot on the end. I want to watch films on my tablet which I can now do but I also need to be able to charge the tablet at the same time. Is there some kind of double socket I can plug into the charger point that I can then use to plug the charger and my existing usb cable into use both at the same time? What would this be called, I've tried searching splitters and adapters but this only seems to come up with car chargers which is not what I need.
Thanks!
Ok - this may be a silly question but I'm looking for a shortish cable that has a USB-c Male with a USB-A male AND a USB-A Female plug on the other end(s)
I've tried googling but all I find are usb-c males with either just usb-a male or usb-a female connectors on the end
The idea I have I could plug my phone (motorola Vision One) using the usb-c, have it connected to my pc (usb-a Male) so I could transfer file to/from pc (while the phone gets charged as well) & have a USB Stick plugged into the usb-a female connector (not sure if it is even possible to have a 'split' data connection to a Stick & pc at the same time)
Yeah - I know I could plug in the stick into another usb slot on pc but I might need to transfer stuff from phone to usb stick while away from computer but still be able to charge the phone up from a mains plug
If you're not sure what I mean here's a bad photoshopped picture of what I'm looking for
The 'best' idea I can come up with is perhaps a usb-c to 2 usb-a females & getting a male-male connecter/coupler pluged that into one of the {f} connectors, but I what to have as little stuff to carry around without the possibility of loosing any adaptors etc
Any suggestions or comments appreciated
Thanks in advance
I need an extension/adapter that works with my Dex Cable so I can put it behind my all in one Lenovo instead of it sticking out the side. I bought one off Amazon (CERRXIAN 1FT Flat Slim High Speed HDMI Extension Cable A Female to 90 Degree Down Angle A Male Cord), but it doesn't work, so can anyone recommend one?
It's an HDMI in port so I guess a female (for Dex Cable) to male adapter cable (into Lenovo).
An "L" adatpter would be optimal. So it can wrap around the back of the unit.
Thanks.
DEX CABLE HMDI > HDMI ADAPTER > My Device's HDMI Port
The issue (most likely) is that HDMI is not receiving a sufficient amount of power. You should try to use a repeater. The fastest way to confirm it would be to buy it from a local store and eventually return it if it doesn't work.
