they are all alphas, until morfic starts on a new kernel and the alpha gets moved to stable. anyways, the "stable" 4.1.2 kernels work well with 4.2.X Roms also

alpha7 doesn't have the sound mods included, everything else is there. what app are you using to control the kernel? if you are using a built in cpu control option from whatever ROM you are running, it might not show up in it, since there are different ways of implementation of these options.
Whatever came with ROM got fast charge app and it works but no color changing

the color implementation is different then. are you using a cm based ROM? here are all the options in the kernel(alpha67)..

yea, its a lot of cm in that rom. cm implements things differently that most of the other developers. they definitely do the colors differently that morfic does, so youd need a separate app for it.

ive never used it, but i hear trickster mod is alright https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod&hl=en
I highly recommend Franco #342 nightly. It has colour settings, fast charge, frequency control and more.
Some settings need his app to set, but most will work with others like Trickster or whatever you usually use to set kernel prefs.

Yes, using the "anykernel" script on installation it will support most any rom as it keeps the rom's ramdisk intact for highest possible compatibility.
I personally run an excellent (gsm only) aosp rom.
It'll run on cm9/(+kangs), aokp, aosp, like i said, most anything.

Better is a subjective term. You'd have to try it yourself to see if it is really better for you. But typically I believe Morfic goes for a lean and mean approach. Not a lot of unnecessary mods and a lot of undervolting and overclocking.

Will having your app and francos both installed at the same time affect one another? Or would you recommend uninstalling the one your not currently using?
I'd recommend uninstalling the non used one...seems in other trinity thread its a common issue.
Be sure to give trinity a good day or two of use. Yes the colors will be different than what your used to. But after the first day...everything else looks wrong except trinity colors.
On the ns4g trinity is a lean built kernel. Usually gets strong battery with impressive performance....even at regular CPU speeds. I regularly had a 1.1GHz kernel that performed as well as if not better than other kernels at higher clocks.
From what I've seen so far with the gnex things seem to be the same standard.
Last but not least....we get Dune references on a regular basis. /case rested

My kernel of choice w/out a doubt! Fast usb charge (Trinity toolbox app) works just like it says too. FAST! (edit added text) Phone has never been this cool either.

Of course, some features are missing, e. g. navbar customization but that should come soon with the next nightlies.

if you guys are afraid about how stable a nightly is, you can do as i do:
1) Backup your rom
2) Flash a random nightly
3) If stable (for you), make a nandroid and let this stored whatever else (so if have some bugs, you can try a new nightly).
I almost flash a nightly 1 or 2 times at month to test (same as pa, btw isnt for this thread).

Also, can you post a screenshot of inside of the Android OS portion of the Battery tab inside Settings? Just go to Battery inside Settings and click on Android OS and post me a screenie. Maybe I can help with that.
Also, if you're over clocked that can really kill the battery.

I get deep sleep...pic posted above the other^. I can never get a WiFi lock after booting from a fresh install. I flash rom , gapps then reboot...no lock...wipe dalvic and cache then flash zen kernel...then I get a WiFi lock instantly. I have the zen kernel on the preset values on all the Roms to see how it runs first.
