TWRP Theme Collection Thread (1280x768)
NOTE: The functionality layout of TWRP changed in version 2.6.0.0. Because of this, any themes created for previous versions of TWRP will result in broken functionality if used with 2.6.0.0. For this reason it is recommended to stick with the 2.6.0.0 themes if you are using that version of TWRP.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download theme.zip and rename it to ui.zip
2. On SD card open the TWRP folder and create a new folder titled "theme" (case sensitive)
3. Copy ui.zip to the theme folder
4. Reboot phone in TWRP and enjoy!

Things like this usually take a backseat to stable feature rich ROMs. Will it happen? Yes. When? Most likely around the same time we get some milestone releases for ROMs.

Make sure the title of the "theme" folder you create in TWRP is all lower case. I initially titled the folder "Theme" and it didn't work.
Here you go
HoloDark768
HoloLight768
Now I've only done my testing with HoloDark768, but HoloLight768 should be the exact same in terms of layout and such
EDIT: You'll have to rename the zip of your choice to ui.zip and place it in the TWRP/theme folder

Folder and file name is case sensitive.
Thanks so much RisingFog. That HoloDark theme is absolutely perfect now.
If you don't mind, I'm going to update the OP and add your themes to it. Maybe we can keep this as the central thread for any TWRP themes. I'll keep the OP updated with new themes that people post around the forum or in here.
I too loved the dark theme! It's awesome (the white theme shows some aliasing in the fonts).
If there are any other themes out there that you wish to be ported to the Nexus 4, let me know and I'll look into your requests
For reference, here is a thread with previously created themes for the HTC One X:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947785
If you'd like one of those themes ported over, let RisingFog know.
Making theme change permanent
Is there a way to make the theme change permanent (i.e., replace the stock TWRP)?
I know that it has been done for a couple of version of TWRP (rasbeanjelly, darkbeanjelly), and am curious if there is a way to do it. I am really loving the HoloDark, and want to make it permanent.
Thanks in advance.
How is this theme not permanent?

Deleting /sdcard/TWRP/theme folder (also found at /data/media/TWRP/theme) also deletes the theme.
I want to know if there is a way to "bake" the theme into the recovery partition (i.e., so that deleting any aspect of the /data partition won't affect theme).
I think it's doable (see reference to darkbeanjelly and rasbeanjelly mods to TWRP above), but I don't know how to do it. Thoughts/instructions?
Thanks in advance.

Wiping data partition should not wipe the internal sd card. The /data/media/ path is just a mount point (a reference, like a sign saying "if you want to get to the internal data partition, go that way) and the internal flash space is accessible by many of these in modern android versions for backward compatibility. But as it's not really a part of the data partition it is ignored when you do a data wipe in recovery.
As for the first case: why would you want to delete the theme folder when you want to have the theme?
Thanks for the themes

I was testing Infamous 2.6.5 ROM and theme from "Only Infamous 2.5" section "AOSP LCK.BAT%.MOD".
The Infamous2.5 Theme works on Infamous 2.6.5 but the icons on the toggles bar didn't change.
AOSP ICS theme:
FYI, Color series "White" for Darkside.V7 seems to work with Infamous v2.6.5 ROM, same issue with icon toggles not changed:

I'm on the 2.5 theme also and it's quite good. The quickpanel settings app (toggles as mentioned) are still in green and the power menu is not all in blue (though the restart submenu is perfect). Otherwise, it looks great!
Edit - also the vibrate icon when silent is enabled is grey instead of blue (not sure if that's theme or rom).
Anyone willing to test my Touch0Color theme on this rom? Please PM me and i will send you a link.
Thanks.

If you want the toggles to theme also, just download the zip file to your computer and open it with 7zip. then navigate to MORPH\system\framework\
Inside the framework folder will be a folder called Darkside-res.apk rename it to Infamous-res.apk now the zip will theme your toggles.
Also to avoid any other problems navigate to MORPH\system\app\SystemUI.apk\res
inside the res folder delete the resources.arsc file.
Now any of the color series themes should work on Infamous v2.6

I open my toggles apk with 7 zip and hate to say that I do not see a MORPH folder. First let me confirm that I am working with the correct file. Filename "14toggleLE1-Blue.zip" .. I open that file with 7zip and have the following:
system/app containing "quickpanelsettings.apk" and "systemui.apk"
and
system/framework containing "lk95-res.apk"...
where did I go wrong??

I did not make that zip. You would have to extract the drawable-hdpi folder from ik95 apk the theme you want. And also the drawable-hdpi folder from the infamous.apk folder from the rom. Then replace the images from the rom apk with the one from the theme you want. Use 7zip to put the new drawable-hdpi folder into the infamous.apk and put it in the flashable zip file. Delete all other apk's from that zip before you flash it and it should change your toggles.
If that's to confusing post the theme you want and I can do it tonight.

if you're using a ROM that have navbar options (codename android, AOKP, some cm10 based ROMs) you can choose the navigation button color..
i'm not prioritizing on making multicolor version now as these can be obtainable using the ROMs above.. but i'll upload a solid color version tomorrow..
Understandable. I don't plan on leaving paranoid android so I guess I'll wait for this.

Installation:
1) Download the Zip files
2) Put the ZIP file on your SDcard
3) Reboot in Recovery mod
4) Select flash Zip files
5) Select the Zip files
6) Reboot
If, After flashing the zip, you dont have the theme, its probably because your rom have the 4.2 keyboard by default with another name.
For get it work, just go to /System/app/ with '' Root Browser'' and delete ''LatinIME.apk then reboot.
I can take some request for another color.
Thanks

The 4.2 keyboard is universal and work with all rom.
The probleme you have its because your rom have this keyboard by default and the name of the apk are different so your rom only use the keyboard installed by default.
For make it work just use root browser lite or any root explorer, go to /system/app and find LatinIME.apk and rename it to LatinIME.apk.bak.
Be sure you have the themed keyboard installed in the folder (LatinImeGoogle.apk) and reboot.
If you prefere you can just rename "LatinImeGoogle.apk" to "LatinIME.apk" in the zip file than reflash.
I will rename all apk in all zip files soon for better compatibility.
Thanks

This is the port of the original theme by thecoby.
So all credit goes to him for this awesome theme.
I've also used some strings from Linda's work. (e.g. partition selector, since partition table is slightly different from One X)
Currently this port is a bit far from perfect and there's plenty of room for improvement. That's why I'm looking forward to some feedback.

I can make separate version for AM/PM time, but the time line will jump one position left or right depending on current time (e.g. 6am\pm will be a little bit to the left and 11am to the right). It's caused by alignment to the left. TWRP does not supports right alignment. Also, this theme is made for 24h clock by it's original author.
I was wondering if you would be able to change the splash screen on TWRP. I know you could on older versions. I found this on XDA but cant seem to find the thread. What do you think? Thanks!
If you're referring to the "TWRP slide up curtain", I'm afraid it's not possible. TeamWin made this bit unchangeable to preserve some kind of branding. See http://www.teamw.in/twrp2-theme-guide for more information...

This splash would be perfect! The current dark blue one is a bit of an eyesore.
Also, big thanks to w00dstock, this is very well done - using the light theme, it's beautiful...

Was using this back in the One X days, and loved it. Just saw that TWRP 2.6 is released. Can anybody confirm that this still works, or does it need an update first?

P.S. I'm still on 2.5.0.0 TWRP version because of the issues in 2.6.0.1. I really hope for the fix in the next version so I could add new features.

The ones that come with 2.6.x.x recovery, such as encryption.
Also, there's something new on the way.
Can you add a 'TWRP_Theme-' prefix to the filenames? (e.g., TWRP_Theme-Holo_Dark.zip)
Thanks for the hard work.

After i format my phone and wanted to reboot my device.
TWRP prompt me to install SuperSU. The "Do Not Install" button are not really align (center) with the text on top.

hello to everyone!
I want to share my last softkeys
These are in a unique WHITE version (however various custom rom may change colors),
but as you can see, I added the shadow, so they are suitable for both light and dark backgrounds!
Manual installation:
When I want to change icons or buttons, usually I "fetch" and override its png from custom rom that I'm using...
.... overwriting the original systemUI using RootExplorer or similar directly on my Nexus
my "TRIBAL KEYS"
Morph theme (for all 4.4 roms)
Morph theme (for all JB roms)
I hope you like...
These look great man. Why not make them into a Zipthemer zip?

I think everyone in this forum knows how to do ...
each with its own knowledge ... ...
I always proceed in this way:
- Fetch the file \system\app\SystemUI.apk from my mobile phone
- I open it with 7zip from the PC, and I position it on \res\drawable-xhdpi
- drag new png icons on 7zip opened folder , confirming the changes
- close 7zip
- I copy the updated SystemUI.res on mobile phone
- Overwrite it on the original (on \system\app\) using RootExplorer (or equivalent) with relevant permits.

For what it's worth, you don't need a pc to do this if you use zip themer. Use a file explorer to extract the apk find the image, make a new one, use an existing mod and replace the images, rezip mod and use zipthemer. I have a thread with instructions on doing this.

I have read various threads on this, but personally I prefer my method.
It seems to me more direct.....

There's no right way. If it works it works. I didn't mean to dispute your method, rather to inform people that there are various options. I sometimes build mods when I'm away from home. So I like the flexibility. It avoids the need to transfer things back and forth. Though I do more detailed image editing on a pc.

Ty for sharing op. Looks awesome
updated amount of keys in first page!
I really like the softkeys! But I can't flash them with zip themer (because it doesn't find SystemUI.apk), neither can I manually add them to the apk, I mean, I can, but as soon as replace the original SystemUI.apk with the one I modified, I get a bunch of FCs and lose the notification bar and softkeys. I have to reboot and restore a Nandroid.
Is it because I'm in Kitkat? SystemUI.apk changed its location, it's now under /system/priv-app/, so I guess that's why zip themer can't find it. I tried doing it manually twice. So sad, haha.

do you update edify in zip themer with your kitkat rom? I don't know is just a suggestion.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Hi! Yes, I did. And it updates without an issue. It's just when trying to build the theme that it shows the message "Some items will be skipped due to missing system files... /system/app/SystemUI.apk".
Because of the message I noticed SystemUI.apk is no longer in /system/apps but in /system/priv-app.
Thanks for your answer.
