Does anyone know of a rom that has a windows phone feel to it for the dinc2?
Thanks a lot.
I don't think so but I think there are launchers that resemble the metro style. Try searching for Metro, Windows Phone 7,or Windows Phone 8

doubt it, it would be easier to sell your gs2 and buy a wp7 device.

No I don't want a pure windows phone...I just want to be able to try it out for a while and then switch back to ICS. But why wouldn't it be possible?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't mean just the launcher. I wanted like the entire ROM with the messaging app and phone app and all the other apps with the market. Guess that's too much to ask for huh? Lol

Not impossible, but extremely improbable. It would need to be completely reverse engineered. It's a closed system that would basically need to be entirely rewritten. WP7/7.5 was not written to support multi core phones or SD cards. Hence why WP8 is such a huge release, as it brings these capabilities on board.

I just bought the new Surface and it doesn't let me open Odin.

Your surface runs Windows RT, based on an ARM chipset. ARM chipsets don't have the ability to run traditional desktop applications. At least not the way Microsoft locked it down

Pfft windows 8 is almost just a patch for window 7 when you get right down to it! At least that's what I've noticed

More like a pile of crap thrown on top of windows 7, but yes at its core it is just that.
I can't get Odin to work on Windows 8 here :/
Its on the HD2. Why not us?

Its not as if it's actually functional on the HD2. The dev behind it has indicated that he's not planning on working it for any other devices, as he'd rather see just the one halfway functional port rather than dozens of nonfunctional ones.

Because it sucks? It's just a tablet UI that looks like Windows 8 without the usefulness.

Noo, buts its REALLY easy to port apps to BlackBerry 10 from android via the toolkit, BB10 is java based now... wonder what kind of developments well see. Would be interesting to see them come out with elevated permissions type hacks (jailbreak, rooting).
You all don't know jack. Blackberry is its own operating system. Has always been.
