I certainly don't know if this is the right answer but I remember reading somewhere quite a while back (I had the og Evo), I want to say it was Atyoung who developed the Mason kernel, anyways, the person had found something just like this deep in some code, & basically was saying that someone at android has a sense of humor. So it may be something like that. Not sure though,

hey snowboardkid.
i just learned from some real developers here on xda.
Do u have your phone rooted, 7zip, and a rom on ur pc somewhere?
Yea my phone is rooted and I don't right now but I will when I get to my girl house
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
whenu get a moment, install 7-zip if you dont have it.
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
download a rom here off xda.
do you use ur 4g or no?
if you do, you have to find a rom that has the correct capabilities right now. im not gonna talk outta my ass on this one, only because i don't know what devs put in there roms to allow this.
so let me know.

I randomly pmed times_infinity bugging him for help as well, and he gave me a whole host of more updated files he's been using. That makes him awesome. Seriously, everyone is being so awesome to me. With any luck, I will have a (probably glitchy, most likely alpha) build of just straight vanilla ICS for our phones soon. Its a ROM I have been wanting for a while. I also know vanilla will be a good base to build off of, so, once it is solid, I will be allowing any dev to use my ROM without having to ask my permission first.

Chris it won't boot because it has the international sgs2's egl props to get sbrissen's 3.0 kernel to work properly.

it may have used to, but they have been changed a few times, and have some ff18 props, which also dont boot..
This will be my first ever rom, and I have very little idea what I am doing. Even if all the files times_infinity gave me work brilliantly, the odds of this booting my first attempt are next to zero.

It would be neat, but the community was already fooled by someone who promised this once already and I would imagine no one will donate for this to happen until after it actually happens.

Reading your post about porting it,it sounded as if you had a fully functioning build.Good luck with it,it'll be nice to have more development for this phone...what nexus device was it for, gnex or nexus s?

The fact you just joined the site looks fishy (No offense, I'm just a paranoid person). At least you aren't asking for donations. If you can do it, do it. if you can't, oh well. I will say this though, you have better luck trying to port sense 2.1, 3.x... It has been confirmed that sense 4.x does not play well with samsung devices and many other devices as it is in this current state.
My personal opinion is; It'd be nice to have more options on this device because the reality is, this device is fast, fluid, and has a lot of possibilities! I feel as if I should have gotten a nexus device sometimes but sprint always fails to get the latest nexus devices by months...

i placed it here since im requesting if this app can be made to be worked on this phone but i see that its also a question so mod's if you want to move it to Q&A go for it.
I'm not sure what this request is for since the E4GT is not a PTT phone.

yeah I opened up the apk last night, pretty sure the phone needs to be hardware enabled and ours is not(the smali was riddled with qualcomm everywhere)
And it seems that there is a sign up/verification through sprint for the app/service to work. So that's a whole other thing too(which prob a simple build.prop edit wouldn't dupe)

If it were too be possible to make this work with a mod and the only thing that was needed was to have sprint sign me up then that would be great cause i could call my sprint acct rep that handles my business acct lines and have them do this i know that she would would bother me if i had to pay a lil bit extra a month . This beats having to carry two separate phones.

Please research before answering a n7100 ROM=brick. You can probably run an n7105 ROM just fine, but NOT n7100. You could have got this guy to flash that ROM and bricked his phone.
I guess I should say it may boot but people lost their imei trying this.

Correct, but it's proven to not flash n7100 all others are probably okay.
Look here's the deal I really appreciate how much your want to give back to the community. It needs more people who want to contribute instead of just get their questions answered. All I'm saying is make sure you know what you're trelling people. Then you'll build a little rep and people will trust you.
