Not compatible? - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

Long story short, before I unlocked boot loader and rooted, I installed Wild Blood, and played for like 2 mins. Then uninstalled (just wanted to check out performance)
Fast forward a week later, I unlock the boot loader, and root. I go back to the store to install it again (came to my senses that it was a great game) and viola, I see this.
Is this possible? Im on stock ROM, running the stock recovery.

I have the exact same problem...except i already rooted, unroot and then root again

so you can confirm that wild blood works for you?

Same here but with Order and Chaos.

I am completely stock. No root or custom recovery. I'm getting the same message for that game. Sorry :/

Dalvik Cache Wiped on every Boot? Android is Upgrading...

I've installed about 739MB of apps and flashed Google Wallet onto my Nexus, and every boot it goes through the processes of "Optimizing Applications" on each boot. I've heard this is the Nexus rebuilding the cache but why does it need to do it every time? Other ICS ROMs only report this on first boot or after wiping the Dalvik Cache. This happens only after I've flashed Google Wallet and a moderate helping of apps.
Is this just how it works?
No that shouldn't happen every time. Are you using a custom rom?
it happens to me. After update. And after unlocking bootloader. No custom rom.

I think I should roll back to yakjuxw, I was on stock yakju but with Google Wallet flashed on.

Yeah a few seconds is fine, but mine was actually going through 40-60 apps, with a progress indicator (2 of 46)

XDA Premium HD

So, I just decided to install the tablet refined XDA Premium HD app and really all I can say is WOW, this app looks amazing and works great on the Gnex. It's like night and day using this as opposed to the regular XDA App or even the regular XDA Premium App.
Also, it's on sale for only 99cents right now on the Play Store.
Definitely recommend it to those of you that get your fix of XDA from your device more than on your PC most of the time.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/....xdapad.activity&feature=search_result#?t=W10.
I'll wait for a few more positive comments. App notoriously sucks from xda. Bought premium in the past, as you can see I don't use it.

I bought it a while ago for my N7. It force closes a lot, like every time you leave the app for a second and return. I wouldn't recommend it.

Judging from reviews on the play store for both the N7 and Galaxy Nexus the app is broken and force closes more than occasionally. It's usable but if you're bugged by force closes I'd recommend Tapatalk.

I think these issues are device and rom specific, possibly even kernel specific depending on gov and clock settings. I have yet to encounter that popup while using XDA HD app in almost 2 days. I'm at my PC right now but for the majority of the weekend I have been only using my phone to view XDA and everything has worked perfectly smooth.
I'm using the xda premium app and it works fine. I'm presuming it's for tablets only?
It's powered by ANDROID 4.1..1 JellyBean AOKP ran by Devil Kernel 1.6.0

I'm running 100% stock, odexed and rooted. So I doubt it is device, ROM or kernel specific. Try opening a forum then exiting the app for a minute then open the app and press the back softkey. Alternatively try the xda button at the top right instead of the back softkey.
Please let me know if you get a FC so I can try figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for trying anyways. Well there must be someone who can help. There's heaps of reviews on the Play Store about the FCs so looks like I'm not the only one.
Or maybe it's just a Nexus 7 thing?

I run XDA premium and premium HD on a nexus 7 and havent had a force close problem. I've run it on about 10 roms but I do completely clean installs and full wipes between Rom installs.
Just wanted to report that's its not force closing on mine.
It doesn't mean you don't have an issue or its not a freak conflict with who knows what, just reporting my experience in case its helpful.
I do have a minor issue where when I get a notification and click on it, it just sits loading for a long time. But I don't like notifications I discovered it purely on accident and didn't try to wait it out a really long time or address it, I ran across a thread that said they're working on that issue already.

How to stop launcher restarting?

Does anyone know of any fix for launcher restarting ? I am on stock ics and have not long done a fresh install of Rom using pc companion. It is rooted with bootloader unlocked using testpoint and I have removed some system apps bloatware using list from xda. I don't want to install a third party launcher or even a launcher from another xperia phone just want to know if there's a fix to stop launcher from restarting. It happens after leaving an app all the icons and launcher need to refresh and its really annoying. I have latest beta of greenify app installed and sefix app installed and have 160mb left on phone memory.

If you don't want to flash a custom ROM then run supercharge script.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Don't want to run supercharger it doesn't work have tried it multiple times it always causes problems. I am thinking of going back to gingerbread might be the way to go or new phone this one has had its time I think.
Sent from my LT15i using xda app-developers app
I ran supercharger on stock gingerbread and phone was way faster. I can't say how it was on ICS, because all custom ROMs come pre-rooted.
If you won't miss ICS features, and care about stability and speed, then go for GB.
Or buy a new phone if you have money

So would you recommend nexus 4 or wait for new one to come out.
Sent from my LT15i using xda app-developers app
If you can afford Nexus 4 then get one - it's a wonderful device and in my opinion you won't need a new nexus or any other phone for years.
But if I were you, I would try some custom ROMs first. They are a lot better than stock. It's free and you will feel like you have a new phone. I was playing with custom ROMs on Arc for over year and decided it's time to move on
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
ICS ROMs require additional tweaking for Supercharge script to work properly due to different services.jar file.
I can't guide you, because I do not have access to such things at the moment.
Ive tried the ics setup it didn't work the fact is this phone can't handle certain apps mainly games so uses CPU when I come out of these apps its taking it'd time booting everything up again just got to face the fact its old and needs replacing.

The smoothest I had on Arc was supercharged gingerbread. No ICS ROM came close to that.
And your problem isn't CPU - it's low RAM.

I'll remove xposed then.
I try using freegee to unlock but it said my version was too new and i needed a special code. After i got it , it said something about storing download mode somewhere in my phone.
Next i tried using the teeny bins , it unlocked but it wouldn't let my phone boot after i would install a rom?

Not quite sure I understand what you did.
I think you need to do a factory reset. But you might lose your SD.

Sounds like a bad flash / corrupted system. I am inclined to agree that you need to do a factory reset first, however you will more then likely lose your SD contents. A very good rule of thumb is to remember if you are flashing a ROM based from stock and you are one / stock it's self, you should be good. Same works for CM based ROM's going from one to another tends to do pretty well, it's the crossing of the guards so to speak that tends to cause issues.
Personally if I could get in my phone I would back up everything and flash stock rom > factory reset > root/unlock > wipe everything in recovery except internal (SD) and then flash ROM/Gapps.

Just flash a factory ZVB image (unmodified other than root & unlocked) through recovery. Follow the steps in the linked post below to update to ZVC (works with TWRP recovery) without too much hassle (uses Rootkeeper & Freegee). No computer needed and -worked great! Took under 10 mins during work break!, No loss of apps / data / sdcard.

Roaming popup still keeps showing up after being checked
less than 10 character texts work now
Avoid poor wifi connections is still messed up.

The modem/radio seems to be the same. But tommyjoe says they made improvements in other ways.

Just a quick follow up (after updating and going back to root/unlock). The biggest change I've noticed with the update is the radio performance. They've definitely improved in that area. I especially notice this when indoors at work where I RARELY (as in almost never) got a 4G connection. Now I get a solid 3 bars indoors. Same with at home where my connection period was spotty (apparently my house sits in a gray zone). Which is why I always just used WiFi at home. But just to check, disabled WiFi and now I get a steady 3G connection (I never ever got a 4G connection at home so I wasn't expecting to now).

Battery loading

I rooted and unlocked bootloader for my girlfriends galaxy note 2 (GT-N7105) and installed CleanRom. After a couple of months, she just started getting issues with her mobile data so I told her to just reboot. Now her phone won't turn. It just comes up with an empty battery with the loading sign. I rebooted into [Philz] recovery and wiped cache as well as format. Still nothing. I could easily reinstall stock with odin but I'm not near a computer for a couple of weeks so I was hoping for a quick solution. Every little helps
