[Q] Light Bleed - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Is the light bleed on the very bottom of the screen, as seen in the screenshot below, normal?
Look at the bottom of the glow around the Back button (I added the light bleed in Photoshop to simulate what I am seeing).

Light bleed wouldn't show up on a screen shot. It's obviously software related.

The screenshot is a mockup, I added the light bleed in Photoshop to simulate what I see.

Not sure if it's normal, but I have it on top of my screen.
Beamed from my Maguro.

Anyone else having a similar issue (bottom of screen) (this picture is a mockup, the bleeding is a hardware issue):
Any ideas about how to fix this?

Change the display gamma?

Is it possible to change the display gamma? The screen seems a bit light. What I mean is, black is black and white is white, but the midtones are a little on the bright side.
Please don't tell me to turn the brightness down. That's not the problem.
I have no idea if a setting like this lives anywhere on the system. I am rooted if that matters.
Update: Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the screen is perfect and my old G1 which I'm used to is dark. I just took a screenshot with ShootMe and loaded it on my PC and displayed it on my monitor. Then I compared it to the phone. it is almost exactly identical! I guess the G1 screen is a little blue-ish and a little dark in the midtones. I just got used to it. The wallpaper I had chosen for my G1 looks better on it than on my EVO. It looks bluer and more saturated.
Here's the pic if you're curious. To me the background looks too washed out. But I guess that's just how the original picture was supposed to look.

i took a lot of pictures already with my phone, no problem
there's a sticky in the Apps section of the forum, with a lot of pictures people have taken with our T989
i didn't see anything wrong on their phones
Yeah, I picked up this phone yesterday and also noticed a pink spot in the center of the camera. Mine isn't as bad as yours. It's more a pink hue that I have. It depends on the lighting though. When I'm in my room and the sun is shinning through I can see the pink spot on white backgrounds. Should I exchange the phone? Is there a software fix for this or is it purely hardware?

Clock Dim is naturally blotchy?

The attachment says it all... this is a software screenshot, and when I dim the background in the clock, it gets blotchy on the top and bottom. At first I thought it was my screen, bc its such a wide spread issue with blotches/tints/etc. But after taking a screenshot, it has became clear its not my hardware.
Anyone elses like this/is this normal?

Attachment does not say it all at all. Because it's a blue and white question mark... =/
Although your screenshot link is broken, I think I know what you're talking about. It ONLY happens to me when I have a wallpaper that is very dark in some spots. So it seems as though when it dims, the LED's just darken all the way and you get "blotches" where there are black/more than black LED's next to each other.
But lets get this out of the way now, the screenshot isn't going to show the blotches because this is a screen "issue", not a software issue.

[Q] Color banding(gradient) on Xperia S

This is something that has annoyed for a long time, even on my lowly X8 and now on my Xperia S.
ICS and JB, stock or custom firmware, all have color banding both in System UI and on occasional pictures wallpapers.
It's most visible at the uninstall app screen. The gray color is gradient and it's absolutely visible.

There's also a visible banding, although slight, on the title of the Album app.
You can also see the banding on wallpapers with certain pictures used.
Top left corner.
Plainly visible.
Is there any way to fix this or is this a hardware fault?
xperia s
the verge also saw that http://www.theverge.com/2012/3/5/2841547/sony-xperia-s-review but Im on jb and it may fix it. See for yourself
i think its not a hardware fault.
if its a hardware fault, when u capture a screen shot, i shudnt appear.
but in this case, it still appears, i think its resolution problem (pixels and those stuffs)
It's quite annoying!

Screen issue: a weird halo visible mostly on white background

Hi (and Hi all, this is actually my first post though I have been following this forum for a while now), I just bought my google pixel 2 xl and despite the blue shift (I actually don't care much) I noticed a weird halo on my screen, mostly visible when I'm reading on white pages. It's very dim, but still there. It looks like an uncleaned spot on the screen and it's mostly visible when you're scrolling. I tested the screen with different colors and it's always there even if it's less visible when on very dark or colored images. I contacted Google via chat and sent'em photos with the halo (being very dim it's not easy to get it in a photo though). They said that it's a too dark photo and that they couldn't help me much rather than suggest me to do a factory reset. I did it. And it didn't work.

Anybody has ever experienced something like this?
